Al Jazeera gained exclusive access to a weapons factory, where 3D printers are manufacturing assault rifles.

Shame still because myanmar army is getting beaten by bolt actions
They aren't, this is just one example. FGC 9s and even home built AR15s are becoming more and more popular. Tons of footage of them and they look really impressive. They're also making quite a few scratch built pistols which look very impressive.

And putting a bolt action "action" on a ar15/ m16 rifle is just sacrilegious. I mean really. At that point they'd be better off making a yugo mauser or a lee enfield.

Isn't it a waste for the 3d printers to pump out furniture for action types you can slap on top of a 4×4 piece of hard wood with part of a tyre for a buttstock?
Not semiautomatics. Look more like zip guns with 3D printed clam shells to look like M16s. Simple, 22LR, smooth bore.
They didn’t show what they’re really using for some reason, a popular 3d print they use is the FGC9 I semi auto 9mm sub gun that 80% can be 3d printed, there’s a good documentary on the designer of it Jstark that you should look up as well as PSRs video on the FGC9
@@popupheadlightsCan't they be really using both? For a guerilla group like this there rarely are enough guns to go around, and ammunition is even more scarce.
@@iotaje1 of course they’re using both, the whole idea of the fgc is to use it and loose it for a better weapon when one appears.
@@popupheadlights The FGC 9 is designed for 9mm, so unless you have a lot of that caliber it's useless. It seems the Myanmar army uses this caliber tho, but I'm unsure they'd have enough magazines.

Burma bros, just use wood for the furniture (& any thin metal sheeting or at worst folded aluminum foil for heat shields). Save your polymer & 3d printers for more complex parts like actual receivers etc. Bolt actions are excellent, but turning an AR into one might not be ideal. Anyhow, thanks for showing us your shop. From the looks of things, drilling barrels & machining receivers & parts is the big win there. Are you casting bullets & reloading spent cases? Regards, G.M. o/
I think in those situations the real issue is ammunition, so they may be making bolt actions for a certain caliber they got from captured military bases for example.

As long as you have metalworkers and machinists, you'll be able to make firearms.
a metal 3d printer could produce any metal part of a gun
and possibly some metal parts of a rifle,
but a a metal 3d printer is expensive

Im not trying to insult them but. That 3d printed rifle is gonna jam a lot except the bolt action. Cause i used to have 3d printed gun, they jam every 4-5 round fired.
Then your either a bit out of date, or you messed up. No offense, but doing things right, you can print full plastic (other than barrel, firing pin, screws, bolt, whatever else) firearms that don't jam for hundreds of rounds. There are 3d prints that are rated for a thousand + rounds easy
@@y0h0p38 i did not manufactured the gun. I custom order them (mp 7). Yeah like you said 80% of the gun body is made of plastic. The bolt and the interior barrel is melting. But the rifle is still good its a short mosin nagant replica.

The military is not ruling every places since before the coup. In Myanmar, have a very long civil war for more than 70 years. Now it’s getting bigger cuz of the majority involvement and every races fighting for the democracy. You can get those kind of machines from EROs places easily.

Myanmar freedom fighters = hold our 3D printers
One is a large scale invasion by one nation against another.. The other is a civil war fought using guerilla jungle tactics by mostly ex-civilians against their own country's security aparatus. Their needs and situations aren't the same.

@@baneofbanesI wouldn't say they aren't getting any. Quite a number of those rebel factions fighting the Tatmadaw are also being supplied by China. China also sells military equipment to government, So in essence China plays both sides and is the kingmaker in that area.

True, however maybe these Myanmar resistance group do not have the appropriate skills and workshop like you Pakistani artisan does. Also maybe they're also constraint with time? Forcing to make 100s in a month as compared to your Pakistani M16, TT and AKs? can consider to send some of your elite Pakistani gunsmith over.

Nowadays with machines they make atleast 2 to 5 rifles in 1 day even more 10 to 15 depends on your setup. And they are far better quality than handmade
