      My brother rebel is not a bad word. If you look at alot of freedom fighters even in the west during revolutions, civil wars etc. They are also called rebels, because rebels = rebellion fighters (Usually going up against a dictatorship or monarchy)

    As a refugee myself from Burma, living in Thailand, I could barely stop myself from crying while watching this. Good things never come free. But how many lives does it need to be sacrificed to achieve the very basic human rights in Burma? Please, the people from the west. Don't take your country's democracy for granted. Always remember a number of lives lost for it everyday on another part of the world.

    KNDF is one of the resistance forces around the country. They are very brave. They are also kind to the prisoners of war when Myanmar military soldiers are captured. Stop labelling them as 'rebels'. If you do, 90% of the people of Myanmar are all 'rebels' since they fight back the so-called powerful Myanmar military.

      ​@@Princessk8Many Burmese prefer calling resistance forces over rebels because the word "rebel" (Thu-bone in Burmese) is often associated with terrorists in Burmese. This is mainly becuase of military propagandas. They potray "rebels" as some bad, evil terrorists. So yea, altho we know rebels arent bad, decades of propanganda still twisted our views. It has already been engraved on our mind that rebels = terrorists. Our grandparents in the past used "Rebels are coming" (Thu-bone twe lar nay pi) as a way to frighten kids. This is just one of the bad influence we got from Military rule.
