It has a very long stroke for a small engine. Its equivelant to a rotax 915 spinning at 8600 rpm at take off and sitting at 7000 rpm for cruise as far as piston speed is concerned. 90.5mm stroke for this engine vs 61mm for the rotax line. Reciprocating mass aside, the piston speed is quite high and I cant imagine it will be good for ring longevity. Most of the modern small engines all have very long strokes for low speed torque, they arent designed for constant high rpm. A rotax 915 at 5500 rpm would be equivelant to this little engine at 3700rpm. Be interesting to see how it goes, best of luck
