- The DDS Crew have been breaking into London tube stations to paint trains for more than 20 years. Transport for London accuses them of causing £10m damage. Recently they have been filming themselves in the act. Now filmmakers Chris Atkins and Tom Oswald have gained access to their footage for a documentary, Underbelly.

It's a such a shame that the most important London crew can't manage to get this thing out. Documentaries will stay online forever, analogue pics and hard drives in someone's attic will all get lost eventually.

they dont want the public to see it, they want it shut away in the sheds, and cleaned up as quickly as possible, because they know how powerful it was for another person to see something like that. Its basically proving that people have over come certain fears and constrictions about how they want people to live, and when you create a painting its a very symbolic, charged example, of people overcoming that fear, and it helps other people realise that maybe they can do something like that themselves, which is powering for individuals

One of the main reasons it never came out is because he wasn't happy being seen as ring leader
the storie MUST be told one day! The passion in FUEL's voice talking about it should not remain silent!!! its a real shame! this NEEDS to be told one day!
such a shame this ain't gonna be shown in its full! I too felt that lil electric vibe! I finally saw what 'fuel' looked like having seen loadsa old tube flicks circulating around the net. The story of DDS is being told in other areas though along with nyc's pioneers. This story NEEDS to be told be it tomorrow,next month or in 10 years time! you can't have that amount & volume of wholecars/panels & damage get done & for it to remain completely untold would be so wrong! maybe one day....

Some awesome interviews with many past as well as currently active writers many of which are past or current DDS members. Some fantastic indepth and detailed interviews with many close up and personal often moving or intriguing stories of triumphs,missions,tragedies and bare amount of chases. So far though no interview with 'Fuel' or 'Fume' though. I can listen to many of these interviews for hours.

This not coming out is the biggest loss to London graffiti ever. This documentary would of been everything to those from the city and the rest of the scene would of always known what the real golden age of graffiti was about, before the net or the hardback books. When you would meet random writers on platforms across the city. Tell the guy who didn’t want the fame or name as the governor give over and let this out. The kings are the kings and will reign forever. Those who know heR the gossip. Re-edit the thing and please put this out, it’s bigger then the crew. It’s literally about a culture the crew defined. Fume, teach, rate, zonk, cosa, diet, take, sub, shu2, fuel, korsa, steas, I could go on. These guys defined all city and their contributions NEED to be certified in the archives. R.I.P Mood, Skeam, Duba, veko, Pow and all the other young kings who were lost in the pursuit of defining their names. The dubstars are the epitome of London Graf. Shame they only did a few productions pieces. Tooting was crazy back in the day.

Was hoping this was already out. shame. anyone know any really easy spots to hit? I've been sketching on paper for 5 years now, and am just making the transition to actual spray cans, plus I'm not old enough to buy them yet, so I use whatever I find lying around, and I don't wanna deal with a dodgy spray can in a difficult spot. Any spots fine, legal or whatever, as long as it's real easy to hit (in London, preferably near waterloo). Thanks
Fuckin long ting with this vid! Badly wanted to see this!! Doesn't look like it will ever surface! Respect to ALL of DDS and it was great to hear what Fuel had to say on matters as well, if only briefly!! Geezers on a level! Heard it got pulled due to the fact they weren't happy with Fume being singled out as a sort of leader or summin to do with it being too bait. Its a shame cos it was looking fuckin sick!! Hopefully surface one day!

It's not ever going to be released. One of the crew (not sure which one) wasn't happy at the way he was being portrayed in the final cut before the official release. This is just what i read on a Graffiti forum. So they pulled the plug & it'll probably never be shown.

yeah 'the skatepark' is basicly under the festival hall slap bang next to the thames....i used to skate there as far back as 1989 & into the early 90's when the whole underneath area was open,you wasn't 100% allowed to skate there really but the owners just gave in as skateboarding became a big part of the area/tourist attraction & the legal graff only came about in the last decade....used to be 'cardboard city' for the homeless....

I remember when FUME bombed some proper artwork in a skatepark in Ladbroke Grove, and the local ninja hardman pulled him in to get busy with the scouring pad. We all kicked back and watched him scrub.

Which is what would fucking happen with the footage in here and ££ damage they have caused BTP and the MET have not forgotten that shit.. trust me!!..But every time I watch this vid I get excited and that electric vibe roll up my arm and I gotta paint.. even just a quick stroll through my neighborhood!! While I'll admit the graffiti is very artistic, you'd have to be fucking stupid to take those risks just to spray on the side of a train? I'm an engineer, and even I get nervous working around trains and all that electricity. 630 volts going through those rails on LU man....Several tones of heavy metal moving up to 40-50 mph in some places even faster.
