I love her voice. Did you know she studied opera? She’s a very talented lady.
This version of this song gets me every time. I love how her voice has changed through the years and now she has such a great rasp to it.
She is and always will be my favourite female singer of all time her lyrics are as deep & powerful as her vocals.

What’s so sad is she’s now getting a divorce from the guy who she wrote this for. He turned out to be a jerk, too and is suing her for hundreds of millions of dollars. She has the kids!
And the jerk is Reba McIntre’s son!!!
When I found this out I was livid. It just goes to show to never always MEET your “idols”.

I’m a father of 4 with a grandgirl and listened to this multiple times but still can’t get through it without my allergies acting up.
Many people, naturally, tear up at the hurt. The song gives me a sense of strength though. Regardless of what her birth father did, the song tells me of victory and love conquering the pain. ❤️👍

She pours her heart into every song she sings whether it's her song or not. Kelly is so down to earth, genuine, humble, positive, loving, talented, and kind. She has been through alot of pain. Her parents divorced and now she is going through one herself.

The first part of the song is about her stepfather stepping in to take over as a father. And the second part is about the husband stepping in
Been a huge fan since her idol days and still absolutely love her. She's not only an awesome singer but great song writer. Sad that she's going through a divorce with her husband whom she wrote this for and he and his father who manage her are suing her for millions of dollars.

Hi. I'd like to see you react to "You have to be there" with Helen Sjöholm. It's from a musical that Benny and Björn from Abba wrote. The musical is about Swedish immigrants to the US in the 19th century. The musical was translated to English but only performed in orchestral version and not a full production. In this song Kristina, the main character, has lost another child and she starts to doubt in god. It's a great song. Others have done it, but Helen does it best.
