    • @thabomuso2575
      @thabomuso2575 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +37

      Amen. Yes there are these well-documented clan/family feuds in the mountain regions of West Virginia, over the control of the moonshine rackets after the Civil War. Those feuds caused many casualties in dead and wounded. To make matters worse, those families had fought on different sides in the Civil War. All those NWA lyrics about killing each other with shotguns fit perfectly.
      And as for the drug-fueled gang wars of LA depicted in NWA's lyrics, it should be noted that the Appalachians currently have some of the highest proportions of fentanyl abusers.
      So whether we are talking about inner city neighborhoods where industrial plants have closed down and most of the middle income earners moved out, or de-industrialized rural areas, and regardless of whether the residents are white or black, the economically dispossessed get socially dispossessed and that fosters crime, which fosters violence.
      And violence have always been important parts of songs and lyrics in every culture since time imemorial.

      @@thabomuso2575 Maybe so and money and culture and this and that but...no body has the body count both in sex and violence like Blacks have- be it here there or anywhere. Think about Jamaica and Haiti. Ghetto culture has spread into Native American communities and guess what? A lot more violence. This attitude of acceptance is severely misplaced and there's no comparison statistically unless considering small mountain/ country communities where a few killings are a high percentage because of how small the sample size is. What's the numbers? 12% causes 60% of the murders? Most are male perps so...6% responsible for 60% of the murders in our country...damn. We need to bring shunning back. The trouble is that good people do nothing and accept the nonsense. Stop empowering through explanations of this and that...there's no worthy excuse for such bad behavior and no equal comparison.

      @@rianbey1 Do you think that I am excusing bad behavior such as gang violence? What world do you live in? As for bodu counts, I wonder how you connect that to sex.
      But as for blacks in general, there are at least some 900 million black people in the world and a very small minority of blacks (even if you only count men) are or have ever been in gangs. Black people in the world just like any other defined group of people are socially and culturally extremly diverse.
      For instance, you can easily compare countries like Ghana, Rwanda, Burundi, Tanzania, Kenya and many others cuntries with a lower homicide rate than the US. And a majority of homicides in the US is still committed by whites against mostly white victims. Both in rural areas or small towns. The state of Montana with a black population of about 0,55 % has a higher homicide rate per capita compared to all of the countries listed above.
      Poverty fostering gang culture is one impotrant factor bu far from the only factor. Exposure to the dsrug trade is another and many poor countries don't have a major drug problem while many rich countries do. Availability to guns is another. Existence of wars and/or civil wars is yet another, which explains why the homicide rates in countries like Congo, South Sudan etc blow through the roof.
      Or you can compare Haiti (95 % blacks) or Brazil (60 % blacks) with several Central American countries with proportionally small black populations but still with a murder rate up to five times higher.
      Most blacks all over the world do what most other people do, namely work and struggle hard to get food on the table. A lack of major and sustained investments from outside powers are a major factor. As a comparison, Imagine how Europe would have been stuck in abysmal poverty and therefore crime without the Marshal Plan.
      Gangs and crime with nearly exclusive white perpetrators have been deeply rooted for more than a century in cities as diverse as Boston, Chicago, Philadelphia, Pittsburg and more between the early 19th century until the 1940s, with largely Irish, Italian and Jewish gangs.
      Even today, North and South America has the highest murder per capita rate in the world
      And yet even in those times the absolute majority of whites were peaceful and worked hard to get by, just as blacks and others did.
      Your reasoning is based on ignorance and xenophobic fear.

    I've heard a lot of AI song covers and 90% of the time the voice is just a bit off or unnatural, but your covers are a step above and don't sound unnatural or robotic at all, it's really cool to hear honestly.

    • @InchonDM
      @InchonDM 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +13

      As I recall, TIRI's secret is that he actually sings his covers himself, and then uses AI to bend his voice to sound more accurate to the original performer, rather than letting AI do all of the work. So there's still an actual human voice under there forming the spine of the piece, which is crucial.

      I’ve been saying for years that they are the same genre of music, almost. The youth are the same, almost. Their financial decisions are the same, almost. The gals like almost the same qualities in a young man. They do the same things at the clubs, almost. They make their mamas cry. Marty Robbins made the world’s first concept album and it was more violent than many early rappers. Willie Nelson and Johnny Cash had concept albums, before rap was a popular genre, that were more violent than many early rap albums. Waylon Jennings had a rhythm that I’ve looped so my friends could freestyle. And have you ever seen “tales from the tour bus”? Waylon had weight delivered and it was not soft powder. He fooled the DEA. He wrote songs about it. He even had his own Guinea pig named Billy Joe. Lucky for Billy Joe no one stepped on the man’s dope. He negotiated multi million dollar tours on peanut butter that had already kept him up for weeks. Billy Joe went on to divorce the same woman more than once and while having a drink together on the side of the road before taking his name back from her, some asshat tried to tell Billy Joe what he was going to do to entertain her. Since Billy Joe came to be an old man while testing recreational drugs so his masterpiece songs could be recorded and performed in front of live audiences, making the world a better place he pulled out his little pistol and shot the asshat right “between the mother and the fucker” or as we would need to translate to words Suge Knight would understand, in the mouth. And Waylon named his boy, Shooter. And shooter says, don’t call him an outlaw, he’s a motherfucking gun slinger. And Billy Joe lost his son to an overdose and Dre sold beats to Apple. And Snoop does a tv show with Martha. Paul Cauthen got arrested in south C… Arolina. And he’s got fuck you money to go cocaine country dancing in case Tyler Childers wind cuts cold and decided to go dig for arrowheads while on pills and powder and corn liquor. Meanwhile the Beaumont are in downtown Lubbock preaching that if you don’t love the lord you’re fucking fucked while talking their special ladies into putting an ape suit and climbing on a ladder to jump on her man’s penis while he pretends to be an airplane while some weird porn is on where a statistician fucks a muledeer. All this happened before Yela Hill snuck into a country club and made a sick ass retro beat and video track that has been my go to lifestyle all summer: “money pussy weed gymnastics”

    I think country and rap are much more similar than most realize. Wouldnt take many changed words to make this fit as an actual country song

    You know you have a great song when it’s worthy of covering and when the song can carry over to other genres. Well done.

    I like the reference to an actual Hank Williams song at the end.

    I can't get enough of this! Would it be possible to do a serious Christmas song with Hank's voice? I've wanted to hear a Hank Christmas song for years!

      Reminds me of Bob Willis ‘Santa’s on his way’…well it’s not serious though. 😂 But the voice is similar to Hank.

      I agree that Christmas songs from Hank probably would have been excellent! I imagine given the voice similarities, he would have done a great "Here Comes Santa Claus".

    I would say these just keep getting better, but they are all so damn good. Ive listened to Johnny Cash, Barbie Girl countless times and Im sure I will be doing the same with this one.

    This is actually scary how spot on this is, I love and hate it, Hank will forever be a gem, wish I was able to grow up in those times, such a humble guy and time time era💯
