    if jordan horston can find at least a respected 3 point shot, she elevates her game and that team to a whole nother level

    hey hunter, love your videos and insights. Perhaps an interesting video could be your thoughts on which 6 players each team will choose to protect from the expansion draft and/or a mock expansion draft for the Valks!

    BIG intangible with AB, her attitude has been elite. Not an easy situation to navigate and she managed it like a veteran. Great vid Hunter!

    Its pisses me off that 80 % of these females cant showcase their talents & career gets cut right after they get drafted. I see many of them signing overseas not only cause payout is better but they get to see minutes on the floor

    A bunch of these women just need playing time! With GS and Toronto coming they will get that time with a new team.

    You're spot on about Horston..to this day, I cannot understand why Berger was chosen before Horston.

    Hunter, Dorka is a super-talented player. She is Minnesota's answer to the league's super-bigs.

  • @mltgilbert1
    @mltgilbert1 7 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

    Diamond Miller's prospects are poor. She is exceptionally athletic. Unfortunately, her athletic gifts allowed her to excel without learning fundamental basketball skills. Cheryl Reeve, Minnesota's coach plays her sparingly and only after the game is out of reach.

  • @jibojones
    @jibojones 10 วันที่ผ่านมา +3

    I’m not sure why Reeve hasn’t given Diamond Miller playing time the last couple of games. A couple of DNP. Even when Alanna Smith was out she didn’t even get into the game. Miller has to be hurt still or in Reeve doghouse.

    🕰️ Aaliyah still has time to grow. It’s only year 2.
    🤔 Diamond had a solid rookie year but she’s been injury riddled.
    😳 Dorka was the biggest surprise.
    👌 Jordan’s a solid wing. Her shooting is streaky.
    ⬆️ Maddy could move up to tier 6 if she goes to a certain expansion team.
    Berger can also go elsewhere and do better. (Chicago. COUGH COUGH. 😏)
    🤔 Hirsch and Swain intriguing players even with the injuries.
    🙂‍↔️ Haley is not a PG. She’s a 2 or 3. (Love her podcast though.🎙️)
    ✊ Free Zia and Laetica.
    ❤️ Loved Dulcy

    Thanks Hunter. A Fantastic Ranking and Overview youve put together. And I’ve gotta hand it to you, because this had to be a little bit complicated for you, I mean that in a sense of not in difficulty for you, but just the overall draft selections and other factors of these players in this 2023 class. I mean, like you said; What a mixed bag of Players from this 2023 class. I went back before watching your video to see the entire 2023 draft selections Just because I wanted to see all of these players and get a look before watching your video. I like your ranking with Horston, I’ve actually watched quite abit of the Storm games, as I’m abit of a New Storm Fan, Because they drafted Nika Mühl a player I like who I think has great potential, But hasn’t seen alot of playing time yet, and we’ll see how that goes down the road. Anyway, Horston definitely fits in well in her roles they ask of her along side Ogwumike’, Diggins-Smith, Loyd etc. I also think Aliyah Boston is going to really Begin to Excell and Grow even better as time goes. The Fever are My # 1 Team with The Storm as my # 2 Fave. I think Aaliyah’s numbers improving is due to the expectations placed on her more now, as The Fever have other Key Players added now along with Offensive Fast Transition Style and other Offensive Plays that Require Aliyah’s Stepping up more. I agree on what you said of Berger , I too don’t understand Why my Fever aren’t using Grace Berger more. I mean Granted, You can’t have more than 5 Starters, but Sides plays other Bench players , some very unproductive compared to Graces skills. She actually has a Solid Consistent mid range shot, she was known by Title at Indiana Univ. as The Mid-range Queen and She was All-Big-10 Team 3 years in a Row, 7th All Time in Scoring, 2nd All Time in Assists. Her Senior year Avg. 16.2 pts/game, 6.2 Rebounds, 4.7 Assists and 1.3 Steals/game. Anyway Hunter, I’m not here to bore you with details that you already know anyway. Lol ! I just don’t understand why Grace doesn’t get more playing time compared to other bench players but then again, my Indiana Fever’s Foolish Management We’re also the same ones that threw away a perfectly good draft pick with Celeste Taylor a Fantastic Natural on Defense and got absolutely nothing in return.
    And then they turned around and said wow, we really could use some help on the Team with Defense… Hmmm… Fever Mgmnt. Ya think !!
    Anyway, Thanks again, Hunter, enjoyed this video and topic with your commentary and rankings. I am still learning, and I have a long way to go to even begin to grasp Alot of things with WNBA Stats, Players etc.

    I remember during the draft, I said that Atlanta should have drafted Dorka and not Leticia. And I was right.
    Also, I think Stephanie was taken high because of the scarcity of bigs (behind Aaliyah) in the draft.

  • @andrem.thomas332
    @andrem.thomas332 10 วันที่ผ่านมา +3

    She's not a top 5 prospect. And that entire Atlanta franchise is lost. They've been forcing Haley Jones to be a pg and that's not who she is or what she does.

    • @HunterCruse14
      @HunterCruse14  10 วันที่ผ่านมา +9

      Yeah, I agree, Haley is a good transition playmaker, but she isn’t explosive enough as a driver to draw doubles & she’s not a pull-up threat either so it’s really stagnant with her at PG. Still thing she could find a role in the W though

      Aliyah is undersized. She's listed at 6'5" but she is very obviously 6'3" if you look at her compared to other 6'5" and 6'4" players on the floor. She's strong, she has great footwork, and she has a lot of upside, but she just isn't tall enough to be a top tier Center in the league.
