The songs were too relaxing for a fighting game, so they tried to do original songs instead. Only song that was brought in was the battle minigame music from legacy console edition, which is kinda obvious knce you hear it.

I don’t know why anyone would be anti Steve. His move set would be really interesting, as he has some many items in MC that could be used in attacks for smash. His nuetral b could be like Skulk’s monato arts but they would change his special moves instead of his stats, or something like that He’s an icon of gaming. Saying Steve shouldn’t be in is like saying Mario or Banjo shouldn’t be in. Minecraft put sandbox and indie games on the map and now he’s one of the biggest video game franchises in the world. The reason I want him in the game is the versatility. Up special could be many things, like an ender pearl or elytra, there's so many possibilities for everything.

His final smash calls an horde of all the mobs in minecraft, which damages and stuns the enemies caught on it. Steve is honestly my most wanted character for smash, Minecraft being a huge part of many people’s childhood, and it being hugely popular I think he deserves to be in.

But the amount of people who actually hate him probably surpasses to those who actually support him.This means these people will tell Sakuari to not include him in smash . We don’t know if Nintendo chose the dlc or not this time, and dlc was decided when Steve was most talked about. Keep in mind Minecraft is the highest selling game of all time, and even Sakurai is a fan. It’s still possible!

Steve from Minecraft in Smash is absolutely phenomenal, but the only thing I’m disappointed about is the lack of music from the original game. One of the most iconic parts of this game is the music, and they just decided to say “nahhh too relaxing”. They 100% could’ve made new arrangements for some of the iconic Minecraft tracks to make them fit the style of Smash better instead of making new arrangements of spinoff Minecraft music that isn’t anywhere near as iconic or as much associated with Steve. Don’t get me wrong, the tracks that they chose are still really good, but it just doesn’t scream “Minecraft” as much as the real game’s ost. Most of Smash’s sound track consists of tracks that originally didn’t fit the atmosphere of Smash and were remixed/rearranged to better fit it. So why couldn’t they do that for Minecraft’s ost when they were already going out of their way to make new remixes for most of Steve’s tracks anyways?! Maybe Sakurai was joking about the music being too relaxing for Smash and there is another reason? But what would that even be? I’ve heard some people say copyright stuff since the ost was made by C418, not Mojang, but even if that was true and an actual issue, I think C418 would be ecstatic about having them remix his music for Smash. Idk man it just doesn’t sit right with me.
Yeah I’m extremely disappointed. One of the most exciting parts of Steve being added to smash for me was the Minecraft music that I thought would inevitably come, but it seems I was wrong. I don’t know why they couldn’t remix the music to be less relaxing either. They did it with beneath the mask, and as long as it’s a little more upbeat, then that’s fine. It doesn’t have to hit extremely hard, but any amount of Minecraft music would be delightful.
Well, I've read that C418 is super stingy with his music, and found a way to make sure clips of his music on the Minecraft Wiki could only be 30 seconds long (I haven't actually checked it though). It is super disappointing.

@@hedgelad712 Not at all. There is enough material with classic minecraft stuff for a moveset. No point in adding elythra in smash for example.

@@placeadrien5566 And the special mechanic he has is that he can place blocks around, which act as boxes (can't get through, but can be broken) and dispawns after a few seconds.
His final smash calls an horde of all the mobs in minecraft, which damages and stuns the enemies caught on it. Then steve in full diamond gear comes riding the ender dragon, dealing the finisher move.
Inconclusion Inc. How about both 1.8 and 1.9 combat
Jab and Neutral Air could be like a 1.8 sword swing and Ftilt could be like a 1.9 sword swing

Everyone talked about how Steve was in, but more need to talk about how incredibly smooth this remix sounds. It is so pleasant and even uses sound effects of the game
I love how the block sound effects are used as a beat in this!

I really do want Steve to be in Smash bros. . But the amount of people who actually hate him probably surpasses to those who actually support him.This means these people will tell Sakuari to not include him in smash . Not only that , Nintendo probably selected the 2nd fighter pass, which most likely means that they have choose other characters instead of choosing Steve. (Nvm he's in!!!)
We don’t know if Nintendo chose the dlc or not this time, and dlc was decided when Steve was most talked about. Keep in mind Minecraft is the highest selling game of all time, and even Sakurai is a fan. It’s still possible!
I mean I am aware that minecraft is the best selling game and almost has about 100 million players every month or so. But like I said, I feel like there are more people who actually hate him than who support him. But if I'm wrong, then we have a shot with Steve. I hope he does make it.

Steve from Minecraft in Smash is absolutely phenomenal, but the only thing I’m disappointed about is the lack of music from the original game. One of the most iconic parts of this game is the music, and they just decided to say “nahhh too relaxing”. They 100% could’ve made new arrangements for some of the iconic Minecraft tracks to make them fit the style of Smash better instead of making new arrangements of spinoff Minecraft music that isn’t anywhere near as iconic or as much associated with Steve. Don’t get me wrong, the tracks that they chose are still really good, but it just doesn’t scream “Minecraft” as much as the real game’s ost. Most of Smash’s sound track consists of tracks that originally didn’t fit the atmosphere of Smash and were remixed/rearranged to better fit it. So why couldn’t they do that for Minecraft’s ost when they were already going out of their way to make new remixes for most of Steve’s tracks anyways?! Maybe Sakurai was joking about the music being too relaxing for Smash and there is another reason? But what would that even be? I’ve heard some people say copyright stuff since the ost was made by C418, not Mojang, but even if that was true and an actual issue, I think C418 would be ecstatic about having them remix his music for Smash. Idk man it just doesn’t sit right with me.
Yeah I’m extremely disappointed. One of the most exciting parts of Steve being added to smash for me was the Minecraft music that I thought would inevitably come, but it seems I was wrong. I don’t know why they couldn’t remix the music to be less relaxing either. They did it with beneath the mask, and as long as it’s a little more upbeat, then that’s fine. It doesn’t have to hit extremely hard, but any amount of Minecraft music would be delightful.
Well, I've read that C418 is super stingy with his music, and found a way to make sure clips of his music on the Minecraft Wiki could only be 30 seconds long (I haven't actually checked it though). It is super disappointing.

Tbh I don’t know much about the guy, I just figured that if somebody was told that Nintendo wants to remix their music for the biggest fighting game of all time, they wouldn’t hesitate. But after hearing that, I wouldn’t be as surprised if he really did turn it down. It just really sucks though

It’s the best selling game.... ever... it’s the best selling 3rd party on switch, Minecraft’s 10 year anniversary was recently, Microsoft let Banjo and Cuphead in smash, Sakurai HIMSELF plays Minecraft, and it could probably even promote Minecraft Dungeons coming soon!
