This is THE best example on how to thread top part and bobbin 🧵 and the bottom part. For a beginner this is golden ! Thank you! I just bought this sewing machine and can’t wait to play with it
Right I’ve watched tutorials and didn’t see to pull the lop part through I think that’s what was messing me up
If the needle is not catching the bobbin thread. Make sure you are turning the needle knob toward you.

This was a great video, it help me so much with starting out. For those that were struggling with the bottom bobbin, a few things I think helped me out
-Make sure you’re turning the needle level towards you. I was turning it away and that was causing it it to catch.
- when inserting the bottom bobbin into the metal guide, make sure it looks just like the picture on the bobbin cover.

Thank you, this comment saved me with drawing up the bobbin thread. I couldn't get it to work, and not only that - I couldn't see how it ever _would_ work. But I was turning the lever the wrong way, and as soon as I turned it the right way everything worked. And I made my first ever test sew. 😊👍

I can’t tell you how much I appreciate this video. I use it all the time. I’m extremely forget and I have dyslexia so this is the most helpful video I could ask for
I got this sewing machine four years ago as a gift. After reading the instructions, I was a bit intimidated. My mom said she would teach me, but we both stay so busy. I’ve been wanting to stitch a few projects and finally decided I was going to teach myself. After 20 minutes of reading, I looked up this video and was stitching within 10 minutes.

@@SingerSewingCompanyI guess my big question is, with all the advances in mechanical technology, why hasn’t there been a more simple setup designed? Perhaps there has and it was less dependable? Not sure…..just seems more complicated than necessary. And it’s not really hard, once you’ve done it a few times…..but it’s quite intimidating to a newbie.
My machine has sat in my closet for 3+ years. Hubby picked it out 🙃. My daughter has the same one. She Tried to make a video to show me. I watched videos and read the crazy instructions. YOU made it SO simple. My new shirt is altered and on. I look adorable. Haha 😂. Thank you again.
You saved my sanity 😭😭😭 My grandma gifted me this same sewing machine after she upgraded to another one for her work as a seamstress.
I’ve likely spent the better part of 2 hours frustrated at not being able to follow the paper instructions correctly so that I could actually make a stitch 😂 you make it so easy and the camera’s panning in makes it SOOO much easier to see what you’re doing step by step than the printed instructions.

Thank you for your easy and simple explanation of threading the Singer Heavy Duty machine. I always wanted a Singer sewing machine because I always take my pants to be altered and I can do it myself. Every so often I'll use my hands to do the alteration but it gets tedious so my son got me the Singer 4411 Heavy Duty sewing machine. I reviewed its Quick Start Guide but it was not easily understood. So, I got on TH-cam and checked out your tutorial. Thanks for such an easy to follow step-by-step guide for a beginner like me. I already altered one of pants.💯❤

Thank you for this video. Just bought a new machine as my 30yr old one bit the dust. One thing I don't like is they are all made of plastic. Then I was thinking about a computerized Brother. Either the computer or the chip can blow a gasket or possibly hacked. I chose this model. Didn't have step 5 set right until I noticed the gizmo came up. Rethread, all is good now.
Also this has so much asmr potential especially with such an amazimg voice!!!

I have this machine. It's brand new maybe a couple of weeks old. The thread keeps getting hung up in the machine. I'm threading it right doing everything right. I have the tension set at 4 but thread keeps getting stuck in the machine. My brand new needle broke the other day too. I'm threading the machine right I don't know what's going on but am getting really sick of it. It's getting stuck in guide number 3, and coming out of the needle. I have to pull it hard to get it out of guide number 3. Any idea why it's doing this? Thank you.

Hello! When I put the string through the eye of the needle and do a full rotation I don’t see another string, what did I do wrong? I can’t seem to figure it out
Hi! After you thread the needle, hang on to that thread with one hand, turn the hand wheel so that the needle goes all the way down, and all the way back up. Give the thread in your hand a little pull. It should pull up. If not, try re-threading the bobbin and giving yourself a bit more of a thread tail. Thanks! -TB

I can’t even get the thread around the metal part next to the bobbin under the needle. Glad I wasted $200. That metal part is so tight the thread will just not go where it’s supposed to go

Thank You so much for posting this...I've had my 4411 for months but couldn't get past the printed instructions. Tried to follow the diagrams on the machine but the seams looked like the examples you had shown! I have another Singer machine from the '70s and it works fine, I just wanted one that wasn't as heavy.

Oh my God thank you so much for posting this I’ve been looking for a sewing machine that would be the same model as mine because my sewing machine model is the exact same one as yours so I kept on having anxiety attacks and I broke a needle trying to do it in a different method that is meant for a different model

I hope by now you got your issue fixed but if not, if you see it loopy on the back it's a tension issue you probably have it set at 0 move it up 1 and check it as you go up to each number.

Does the machine stop or something to tell you when the bobbin is full?

Hi, Double check that the bobbin winding mechanism isn't engaged (the spindle should be pushed all the way to the left when you are sewing. Does it matter if the bobbin doesn’t wine the thread evenly? The top has less thread than the bottom…
The most important factor when winding a bobbin is making sure it is wound tightly...it should look like a mini version of your thread spool. Usually, if you fill your bobbin, it will fill itself up evenly as you go. If you only fill it halfway, and it is uneven but tight, you should be fine! I have this machine but i having issues with thread falling off the lifter any suggestions
Hi Sylvia, Make sure that you are pulling the thread forward into the uptake lever. There is a little guide there that, if you don't have any tension on the thread as you pull forward, may not click into place. (You can actually hear a little "click" when the thread is fully seated). If that doesn't work, please feel free to call our Customer Care team at 1-800-474-6437.
