Alex, If you are interested in purchasing good quality Alohawear, focus on shirts labeled "Made in Hawaii." Avoid clothing labeled "Styled in Hawaii." Shirts with horizontal button holes are usually from the 60s or earlier, so they are more desirable. Great brands include Kamehehameha, earlier Kahala, M. Nui, Cooke Street, and Tori Richards. Vintage shirts made by local tailors and seamstresses are also a good buy. Outstanding contemporary made in Hawai'i makers include Sig Zane and Manuheali'i. Glad to hear you and yours enjoyed your holiday in Hawai'i Ala, it's a very special place.
That poster is by Frank Kozik, a famous artist and designer that did many concert posters and album cover during the 90s and up to his death this last May. Amazing artist.

I lived on Maui for 5 years. I miss it almost every day. I've got recommendations if you want any! One good trip is to the Ali'i Kula lavendar farm, drive up to Polipoli park for one of the best disc golf courses in the world, if you've got a 4x4 you can drive up to the summit. On the way there's a trail to a cinder cone. The spiders aren't poisonous like in Australia but the cane spiders can be bigger than your hand, they jump, and their eyes reflect red light at night. That T-1000 bullet thing is coooooooool!
Some very interesting things in there . Surprised they had so many Beatles albums in one place . That photo album was really cool. Keep Safe ❤Keep Well❤

It's amazing how much Islanders have imported from the mainland. Even 20 years ago shipping costs were pretty steep. Even more amazing is that tourists will buy that imported stuff and pay to ship the stuff back.😳🙄
It is not likely that those items were "imported"......it is more likely that they are items brought by people moving to the island. Then, they die and the estate is sold off and pieces find their way to second-hand stores - - just like on the mainland.
Sad that much of Lahaina was devastated and is no more and will need to be rebuilt. Huge very destructive and deadly fire yesterday and today. Praying for those affected with loss.
whenever you see old record collections look for the soundtrack LP of Xanadu w/ Olivia NG and Travolta. The last two l found both went over $500 each. Theyre the holy grail for vinyl collectors now for whatever reason and l found two in 2 years. One in a record store for $3.

I have an original pee wee Herman doll that still works. It was my husbands. He only owned three dolls. Pee wee , the mouse from the Ed Sullivan show, and a sailor doll, I am the doll collector but he wanted those.they brought back memories for him.
The only thing more annoying than your dad following you around an antique store continually asking if you "found anything cool yet"... is him doing it while filming for his TH-cam channel. : ) Just busting your macadamia's, Alex... Hawaii looked like fun. The kids seemed to be having a good time. They're lucky to have parents that will take them on amazing trips like that.

"During a Tuesday raid by the State of Hawai’i and NOAA, dozens of illegal wildlife items were confiscated from the Antique Freak shop in Wailuku on Maui. Evidence collected during the search included various species of threatened and endangered wildlife, including whale tooth ivory, elephant ivory, walrus ivory and turtle shells, according to a Hawai’i State Department of Land and Natural Resources news release."
I remember when Stephen was still a tween, and hadn't even started with the cracking voice. Now hes basically grown with a relatively deep man voice. My goodness, where has the time gone?
