Your video saved me frustration with top thread breaking all the time on my DX7. I used a smaller spool cap and problem solved. This overcast is beautiful on silk fabric. No puckering.

Good video! I have the DX7 and also the TL2010, which is the machine I use most of the time. But the DX7 does so many things and I need to use it more.

I have an F-400 but I can apply so many instructions to my own machine. Thanks. Informative for sure.

Thank you, very helpful as I have a DX7 too! I was trying to tell you that you didn’t change the stitch option on the last one!! Haha. You also forgot to select door 2, #8 for the light weight fabric, you were still on #7. I have a blouse I’m making and was thinking I need to serge the edges so it doesn’t fray, I can now try this on my DX7 😀

Thanks so much, never knew what an over casting stitch was, I have always just pieced quilts but I can use this for the inside of pillowcases I have started doing. I have a 1500 and a Haruka.

Did you use 07 on that lightweight fabric or 08? Your machine said 07 but your instructions were to use 07.

I have had my Juki J150 for a little while but am trying to figure out if I have to turn off my machine every time I change a setting or maybe I’m missing something? Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

Is it not necessary to change the needle when you switch from denim to finer fabrics or knits? I thought you ‘had’ to, but am somewhat excited to see that you didn’t…..In my previous machine (Brother cS6000i) the knit would get pulled into the throat plate with the size 11 or 14 needle which is my default for much of what I do with cottons! I have the HZL-DX-5
