Great video. Please keep adding more user error videos. Maybe even a live chat with questions from users. Such as….when I use Glide thread with spool cap as shown it will often spool off and wrap around the thread spool holder. Usually occurs with new full spool. Again thank you.
Thank you 1000 times I never owned a Juki and your tips helped immensely. I have 2 other machines but was making mistakes on this that I leave at my sons for when I visit Thank you again
Great video David. I see a lot of people asking on Facebook why their machine won’t do a zigzag stitch. Very common problem, thanks for covering it. Now I can just refer people to your TH-cam video.
Thanks for the tips! I have a DX7 and always wondered about the fuzzies under the plate & luckily never removed them. I was wondering why my machine sometimes doesn’t respond to pressing the reverse button if I hesitate at the end of stitching a seam?
Awesome Video, Thank you! I just got a notification from UPS that my brand NEW DX 2000 QVP will be delivered today, so this was the perfect tutorial for me to watch in preparation of setting up my new machine. I'm so excited to get my new Juki! Funny thing is, while you were giving the information on needle punctures to the bobbin plate, I was thinking, "you need to clean out that fuzz on the left" LoL. Had you not explained that is meant to be there, I would have definitely cleaned it up!
Thanks! I love watching these videos! So helpful. I'm going to check my bobbin case for damage! And the reminder to use the right spool caps! I never thread my bobbin thread through the hole--definitely going to try that! I'd love to see an "advanced" users guide--how to get the most out of my DX7!
Hi Laura, Youre the winner of our $15 dollar gift card for JukiJunkies.com Please send us an email at sewingmachines411@gmail.com . Make the subject "TH-cam GA Vance" AND we will get you the code sent over for the gift card :) Thank you, David
The BEST tip was to switch the lever back from the straight stitch mode before removing the plate! Will not doing that cause the machine to not switch from straight stitch to zigzag when I choose #4 on the DX5???
I love these tutorials and would love to see one on setting the back stitch at the beginning and the end with the door pedal. Actually all of the settings possible with the foot pedal would be great!
thanks for the video - very clear - I do have a question - I was sewing fine and stopped. When I started again it didn't bring up the bobbin thread so got "birds nest underneath" - not sure why it isn't bringing up the bobbin thread _ I now have to do manually
Great video with good information. I have a DX7 and have had to replace the needle threader once. I wonder if I was trying to thread a needle that was too small?
I like knowing the smallest needle to use. I liked the more bobbin adjustment, and I knowing that the jellybean switch needs to be in jellybean mode to remove the stitch plate.
I love my DX7. Great Video. I did not know what the fuzzies were for. Also my threader is messed up. I may have to purchase a replacement. Thank you for your informative videos. I use my Tl2000 for straight stitching so I probably won’t change from the jelly bean mode 😊.
It was so interesting and useful to know how to change the foot plate from jelly bean mode to straight stitch and back again, I never knew this. Thank you
Thanks, extremely useful for new Juki owners. Can you confirm the best way to remove misguided thread around the bobbin winder. My thread went wild when filling a bobbin and it was very difficult to remove.
Wow! Saving this video to review each time before I use my dx2000. I never knew that about the needle threader and size of needle and thread!!! I will definitely be paying more attention. Is this true for the Juki tl2200qvp? Wonder if that is why my needle threader on that machine isn't working😥
I'm reading a lot of reviews for the Juki HZL-DX5 that talk about LOWER PRESSER FOOT errors. Is this a common issue and if so, how does one deal with that?
When winding my bobbins, the bobbins stops before it’s full, multiple times just like it’s done but it’s not… do you know why it does that ? Also I put the thread through the hook after step 3 and before step 4 🤷🏻♀️
@@JukiJunkies it didn’t stop because of the bobbin winder going back like if it was full, it would just stop in the middle of the process and I had to switch it off and on again But turns out it was the little hook all along ! Seems to work out fine this time !
You can its just going to be used with very fine thread. The needle whole size is very small on smaller needles making the allowances small when using different threads.
Hi just come across your great videos. Is there a way to see how many stitches a machine has done? I ask as someone is selling a used JUKI HZL-NX7 and was interested in purchasing . Thanks
I have a Juki HZL-DX that the needle in reverse does not work and the needle up down does not work when I push the needle in reverse button I can here a click but it does not work any help would be great thanks Pam
How old is the machine? If its not more than 5 years old contact your dealer to file a warranty if its older bring it into our shop or a authorized service center to help fix :)
I was cleaning my machine and unscrewed that white plastic piece and the metal piece underneath it fell out. I thought I was putting it back correctly but now my machine won’t cut the thread, it bunches the thread up. Please help me. Also, that little fuzzy piece feel out and I didn’t know where to put it back. From another video it said you want it but it’s okay if it comes out.
Hi, I am trying to monogram something on my Juki dx5 and after one try, if I want to repeat the words sequence I get a lower your presser foot message. Not sure how to fix that other than turn off my machine, RE enter my sentence then do it again …can someone help?
Including the comments about the needle penetrating the bobbin case was useful. I had that happen today for the first time while I was doing an overcasting stitch. The needle went through and broke off midway. I'd never seen that before. I still don't know what I did wrong to cause that. I've been using the machine a lot recently - it might need better cleaning than I can do at home.
My bobbin case keeps popping out and jams the machine I have changed 4 bobbin case so far and even new cases just don’t work. I have tried every clean advice, needle advice, thread and threading nothing works…..
Adjust the timing of the needle rod...if the tip of the bobbin hook is below the needle hole, adjust the rod to let the tip of the bobbin hook just at 1/16 mm above the needle hole. Adjust the bobbin shaft if the tip of the the bobbin hook goes beyond the needle hole. These are the cause of the problem of skipping stitches or even not catch the bobbin thread.
What do you do if you have removed one of the fuzzies? I just bought my machine and had a tangle of thread and did not realize that it needed to be by the bobbin case :( @@JukiJunkies
Wow - the common user errors was very helpful to see what I might be doing wrong and how to easily correct it. The needle threader explained, along with showing a damaged bobbin case will help me diagnose the machine as if it wasn't a mysterious mechanical monster.
You said absolutely nothing about the computerized part. I bought a brand new machine and the computer does not work or change stitches whatsoever that would be a Juki error and not a user error. Correct?
The bobbin case info & the switch for straight stitch were great info that i didnt know before. Thank u!
Thank you for watching :)

Only F400 has this feature. F300 does not have the jellybean switch.
I just got this machine and the more I see your videos the more I am happy that I got it. I plan to order some of the Glide thread too. thank you!
Hope you enjoy it!

Can the ‘fuzzy strips’ be replaced? Mine are fairly worn.
Nope
Thanks for all the pointers to help us new operators, new to computerized but love my DX7

Knew the fuzzies needed to be there, wasn't entirely sure why. So now I know.
Learnt a couple of other interesting points as well. Thanks for sharing.

I just purchased a Jukie F300 and have a problem with bird nesting at the beginning of a seam after using the automatic thread anchor tool
I'm reading a lot of reviews for the Juki HZL-DX5 that talk about LOWER PRESSER FOOT errors. Is this a common issue and if so, how does one deal with that?
Never heard of it...
If you have that issue contact your dealer to have them check i out.

When winding my bobbins, the bobbins stops before it’s full, multiple times just like it’s done but it’s not… do you know why it does that ? Also I put the thread through the hook after step 3 and before step 4 🤷🏻♀️
You can adjust it with the little Phillips head screw on the bobbin winder.
@@JukiJunkies it didn’t stop because of the bobbin winder going back like if it was full, it would just stop in the middle of the process and I had to switch it off and on again
But turns out it was the little hook all along ! Seems to work out fine this time !
I prefer 75/11 needles. Can I really not use the needle threader on the DX7 machine? Haven't ordered yet. Hope this isn't a deal breaker for me.
You can its just going to be used with very fine thread. The needle whole size is very small on smaller needles making the allowances small when using different threads.
Thanks for such a great video. Good 2 know about the needle size. 😊👍🏼
