In this video titled EU4 Releasables - I CAN'T BELIEVE I've NEVER Played THIS Nation I do a playthrough as Pisa after releasing it from Florence and I try to become a great power in Europa Universalis 4 1.33 France. This is the series titled Releasables where I attempt to play every releasable nation in EU4 or Europa Universalis 4. In this video I play as the nation of Pisa in EU4. Make Ruppin into a pirate republic
I don't think Ruppin is a pirate nation. Its landlocked in the middle of Brandenburg. I think you are thinking of Rugen Hawk.

The pirate republic is Rügen not Ruppin, Ruppin can be released by Brandenburg as an OPM.

Actually Pisa was one of the four italian "repubbliche marinare" (maritime republics) as you can see from the ideas, so plutocracy would have been more accurate. Also the flags of the four republics are represented in the Italian navy flag

I like the idea of not forming other nations and showcasing the releasable nation - but I think you should be open to making exceptions when unique or obscure formables are possible!

Call me crazy, but combining this series and formable series together might be nice. Try to make all formables with releasable nations. Doesn't have to be the final goal, like this could've been a Pisa->Tuscany run then great power. Use another nation later for Italy, maybe Two Sicily's.
Advice from an italian follower: it's signorìa, not signòria (accent is on the i)

As Ruppin, you should stick to your roots in the black Forrest and own all the woods provinces in the German region.
Hey, an idea regarding the nation formation series--
Maybe the goal each time should be to form a nation like Prussia, Tuscany, what have you, and the use that nation's strengths to form a nation that isn't the obvious next step
So, Florence-Tuscany-Spain, for instance.
It would be longer, but there's less formable nations anyway so I doubt anyone would mind those videos being more spaced out. It could be a fun change of pace.
Seeing Hawk go Protestant in Italy reminds me of my last game as Florence when I did the Egypt achievement and decided to flip Orthodox because Genoa did due to rebels, and I thought it would be fun to change things up.
Honestly, I almost always go protestant in italy because the papacy almost always hates me. If I cant use any curia powers, no point in staying catholic.
@@TheGreatDanish That's totally fair. I think I did it once as Milan, but that was before the update that improved Catholicism. In a lot of cases now unless I have to I tend to want to stay catholic these days since indulgences exist to keep the pope in check if he hates you.

Ruppin eh? For Independence Poland and Saxony will be your friends, but expansion, that's can be hard, HRE=AE so, maybe this path?: Pomeria>Teutons>Moscovy
Going north trough Denmark it be hard as long as have PU with Sweden and Norway, and Moscovy earlier Novogrod is orthodox so no one will care and you in HRE so Teutons and Poland probably don't start war itself if you enough strong and Austria or other emperor don't have trouble. So only way is north-east, cause even annexing Branderburg will be hard idk if possible with bad rng.

you should be able to from nations as these tags, but you have to keep their original ideas. Its why as florence i keep tuscan ideas when forming italy. I feel as if i am still florence, i have just formed italy as them and a unique italy. Sorry i feel im explaining this poorly, but if you formed Italy as pisa for example, you keep Pisa ideas
I never heard of Ruppin before playing EU4 and I‘m German. It‘s an OPM in Brandenburg.

What are they changing with Quantity?
Secondary goal for Ruppin is to become the Emperor without being an elector neither controling any via any overlordship (vassal, PU, etc.) I was tempted to ask for Prussia but I think it would not fit the theme.
Why go frequent elections? Its less absolutism and if you want to reelect someone or their family you have to pay out the republican tradition more often! I don't understand the benefit of choosing it.
i believe the benefit is to re-elect more quickly to get the ruler's skill maxed out more quickly. absolutism doesnt take effect until 1610, so until then, the absolutism doesnt matter. either way, you won't be getting a lot of absolutism as a republic
The Republican Tradition you pay for re-election scales by term duration. So regular 4 year terms is 10 RT, while longer election (aka the inverse of frequent elections) makes the cost 12 or 14 RT per re-election. Frequent elections makes the cost 7 RT per re-election.
Thus, you're actually saving RT in the long term, and also getting your leaders to 6/6/6 much quicker.
The absolutism doesn't matter too much for the first 200 years of the game, so it's not really a big deal to get ahead with the increased mana generation from better leaders and more RT. By the time Absolutism becomes relevant, you'll probably have all your government reforms already (as a republic), so you can just switch out of frequent elections if you really need that extra bit of max absolutism
Where was the threat to subscribe?
You gotta remember that development ledger only shows nations you can see on the map, so in this case Ming wasn't on it. since you were #7, it's still a success of course. Unless some nation in India blobbed out.

I would say "fully annex your former overlord" needs some extra rules:
-control all their starting provinces
-they do not exist
