For Pisa, they were a major maritime merchant republic in Italy before Florence ate them. As such: 1. Become a Merchant Republic. 2. Become the strongest trade power in Genoa, own the provice in Naples where the city of Amalfi is, and win a trade dispute war against Venice. 3. Your standard Great Power goal.
Form the leaning tower of pisa by making a tower like shape from pisa all the way to the tip of the denmark strait as the top of the tower. Shape is up to you for the sides.
Pisa was one of the main Merchant Republics in Italy before its conquest by Florence. So as Pisa, eliminate all other Latin culture group merchant republics (and possibly most of Italy too) and get powerful that way
I think having the same requirement for being a gp could be good for nation formation. This should add some time to play as the formable nation, with larger formables like Lotheringia you could have a secondary objective like A-Z. Edit: Just thought to keep with the gp theme, for larger formables just make it to the #1 gp
My 1st tought: AH, PAIN! I felt a bit of relief for you after the first spin, Catalonia it's not a bad releasable to start the new series... Also, for the 2nd episode: "Before being annexed in 1406 by the Florentine Republic the Pisan Republic was one of the four major republics who were dominating the Mediterranean Trade (with Genoa, Venice and Ancona)", so: 1st goal: Annex Florence and become a Great Power, standard stuff here. 2nd goal: Get more trade power than Venice and Genoa in both trade nodes. Bonus PAIN: Get Maritime Ideas as first idea set and complete it before the end of the video.
@@TheRedHawk hey, u did want to torture yourself xD. Also, since Chinese "nations" are releasables, if you get them it'll be pain against Ming unless you decide to release all releasables in China, which destroys the purpose.
Weeeeeeee!!!? Finally a EU4 video about Calatonia!!!!!!♥️♥️♥️ In the first war you have integrated Valencia amd Balears to Catalonia. I guess you created the so called Catalan Countries without being aware of that😉
The mission tree leading up to 100k has been so fun to witness. Releasables, A-Z, and guides… There’s something for players of all skill levels to enjoy! Red Hawk is one of my most favorite YTs. Keep up the hard work Mr. Hawk
With nation formation you could just set goals to do something after forming the nation For example, with Prussia, you could set a goal to have historical pre-WWI borders.
In case you didn't know, the Iberian Wedding event cannot fire because one of the requirement is Aragon "was not player-controlled at any point". Since you're doing a releasable nation series I would also add that there are similar requirements in many of these events, e.g. the Polish-Lithuanian PU.
And as an addition it can't happen when Aragon and Castille are not boardering each other. So the prevent the event it is only necessary to get the boarder provinces.
Thank you for showcasing the nation of Catalonia! I myself am catalan and this is the first time I've seen a EU4 gameplay playing the nation I'm from! Greetings from Catalonia!

Great idea for a series! And talking objectives, you ended up also conquering your overlord's old subject - thus ALL of it's territory -, that could be a fun secondary goal.
God damn madlad, starts another insane series while not even halfway through the main one, while also reforming another series he started on top of it, while still continuing normal guides. Crazy

Releasables have some of my favorite nations to play. One of my favorite campaigns and all of my time playing eu4 was as the nation of Verona, which has ideas that are on par with formable nations in Europe.
I'm cool with whatever you do Hawk. Forming a unique nation? Awesome! Releasing and playing as nations? Awesome! It all sounds like a good watch worth a like to me.
Hey, nice series idea, are the revolter tags (e.g. Malta, Sapmi, etc.) included on the list? They don’t technically fit the requirements of day one release but could be an interesting challenge trying to get you to play as them - if not too difficult, just an idea. Thanks and keep up the great content :)
I like nation formation, bc you show a different type of playing the game and I didn’t even know Hausa was a nation and I had fun following what you did and forming it myself.
That's hella interesting idea! Hope you won't get tired of this format cuz I really wanna see the alternative history of my motherland with independence and stuff and hope I'll see it in the future :D Thank's for another great video, Hawk
Love this new concept, much better than forming nations I haven't played EU IV for months but I love watching your vids, especially this kind of concept 👍
The best way to show us nation formation is by using the already existing AZ to challenge. In many AZ challenges you Form a Nation. So a way to continue the series, is to take that same nation and reach new objectives. For example, i want you to continue your playthrough as Ireland from the Clanricard AZ Challenge you did.
With Nation Formation you should try to reach the largest extent that the formed nation has achieved in history, if they don't have it, conquering your home region or eliminating an historic rival could be done as well
Recreating that Nations biggest historical achievement or succeding where they had their biggest F could also work. Like as Persia controll all of Greece (and possibly delete the Ottomans since we are in the region already)
I like this idea for a series. Like you said yourself, you don't get to see the nations you form in action, which i thought about in the last formables video. Great video Hawk, i hope you get to 100k soon! :)
Honestly, given your position at the end, Catalognia seems like playing Aragon with extra steps XD You even have the same flags and missions, but can't have Iberian wedding :p
As the law of free fall (2 objects with different weights will fall at the same time to the ground) was discovered on pisa, you have to make sure that the pope and catholics in Italy (at least) fall from Italy before the hussites fall from czechia.
Hawk this new series is awesome! I just recently did something similar playing as Isle of Mann. Thanks for this great content!

I can't belive a few years ago I couldn't understand how could you enjoy watching someone else play ... and now all I want is to have another @redhawk ! video:)
Finally a series where someone plays as releasable without nation ruining the overlord, it was pissing me off everytime since it made no sense this is still allowed in EU4, you should either release from the get go, or if you click at least one button in the overlord the option dissapears
How about having two goals in nation formation video? Goal 1 is mandatory: Form the nation Goal 2 is whatever you think of, like your random goals in the regular A-Z.
The Iberian wedding could never have fired, even if you had done nothing. One of the conditions for it to fire is: "Aragon must never have been player controlled", which it was for one whole day.
You basically just became Aragon after breaking away from them, most of your land is Aragon's at start lmao. Seems like it's going to be a pretty interesting series.
I think the Iberian wedding requires both countries to have some amount of provinces to tigger, Aragon probably didn’t meet the requirements after you beaten it
My idea for formables: 1) Pick the "dark horse" candidate - so Lithuania for the Commonwealth, Scotland for Great Britain, the Teutonic Order for Brandenburg, Novgorod for Russia, etc. 2) Make the "main" forming nation not exist. Form the new country instead of them. 3) Become a great power. 4) Then, and only then, declare on the Ottomans and take their capital. They're always strong, so they're a good final boss. (If they declare on you earlier, you have to white peace them. Or lose, that'd be acceptable, too.)
On the bright side, you can subtract Gotland from your wheel, since it's going to be it's own starting nation in the next patch. So, only 165 left to go!
Just make two video parts for formale nations: One part to form the nation as quickly as possible, second part to do some cursed stuff with the new formed nation
IMO, the problem with this as a series is that the natural progression is to take over the old country (or other targets of said first country) and then just continue the game as is. EX: I release Wales. Why/How is my game going to progress differently from taking over the British Isles? I think the answer is that you either have to: A) Avoid taking over the original country. Or B) Take over the original country in a non-traditional means, and have a different endgame. Or C) Have to achieve an alternative challenge. EX: Same Wales: Via A, You have to take Ireland and Scotland without touching England. B) You have to PU England. C) Wales, England, Scotland, and one of the Irish countries (as Ireland) must always exist until game end.
I enjoyed Nation Formation, perhaps in order for it to work you need to set a goal beyond "form nation X"? Might mean longer videos but hey I wouldn't complain about that one bit
