OMG! Have you listened to Stranger? What about Across Endless Dimensions? Sinful Passion? Dimash is always doing something spectacular.
I discovered Demash in 2016 (he was so young), and I was immediately swept away! Sometimes it was really hard to find his videos or music clips. My husband and I loved him so very much, that we dipped our hard earned life savings , and went to his live concert in NY for our 53 wedding anniversary ❤! His concerts last 3+ hours with very short breaks. I think that there was 50 countries (maybe more) represented there. Not only was the concert otherworldly itself, but there was this undeniable feeling of connection and inclusivity among everyone in the audience ( whether you spoke the same language or not). Demash made us a part of this experience, so leaving we knew that us , and him had just had a once in a lifetime experience. Having communicated with other Dears, his songs are never quite the same, as he plays off the audience. We really didn’t get grounded for days, and this otherworldly experience has intrinsically changed us. I believe that he was sent to us from “somewhere out there” after an S.O.S signal from us earthlings. If you ever have the chance to go , please do whatever it takes to make the journey; you’ll never regret it❗️

Dimash is incredible! His epic masterpiece composition and MV “The Story of One Sky” (it took him three years from concept to screen) covers all bases of colour, texture and range -a showcase for his incredible vocals. His live concert performances of this song are mind blowing. 🙏🏻🇦🇺

Yes, many female sopranos had tried to sing the humanly impossible song and none came as close as Dimash, and Dimash is a man with incredible range and impeccable skills and control of his voice. Dimash is clearly better than the computerized original. And this was midway through a concert. His originals are generally not vocal acrobatics, Smoke is one of his recent originals, When I’ve Got You MV is so completely different and creative and fun! I always enjoy your Dimash reactions.

Another enjoyable reaction. As you already stated, Diva Dance is originally a song from the classic 1997 sci-fi thriller “The Fifth Element” starring Bruce Willis and Milla Jovovich. For the scene, the song’s composer, Eric Serra, designed the piece with the intent that it would be impossible for a human to perform the high-pitch staccato sections. He had Inva Mula-Tchako, an Albanian opera lyric soprano, sing the notes individually so that they could then be arranged digitally and recorded. In the movie, this song is “performed” by an alien, Diva Plavalaguna, played by Maïwenn Le Besco.
The staccati are reminiscent of "The Queen of the Night" aria from the opera "The Magic Flute." I wish Dimash would perform that vocal masterpiece once in concert. Although, he frequently does perform the piece as part of his warm-up before concerts. Chinese opera singer Zhang Jane sang her own rendition of the "Diva Dance," complete with a full orchestra, hitting every note almost perfectly without the help of a computer or digital aids. She even managed to sing some of the low notes. However, Dimash is the only male vocalist I know of who has performed the song exceptionally well, and in my humble opinion gave a superior performance.
You are correct, those with perfect pitch have said he was a half step lower than the original, but again they also said, that doesn't matter in the slightest. But the funny thing is, even though in this performance, he was a half step lower, I've seen performances where he goes so much higher. There is an Ultimate Dimash guide by TH-camr LiLaSi, it is incredible. Although currently she is updatingng her videos Part 1 and Part 2 are new and improved, and in Part 2 is that video about his range. Although when he was in his late teens and early 20s he used to say he's an ordinary tenor. Almost at the 5th octave. Wonderful reaction.

Dimash sings the whole aria in other videos when he was much younger. He only sang the famous part at this one video for a bit of fun ❤ The soprano singing as the alien was unable to get the notes, so that's why it was digitally enhanced. It was meant to be impossible for it to be sung. Considering Dimash is a Man it's quite incredible. This was during a long solo concert, singing and dancing and doing a LOT of running around. Hence him being a bit damp ❤😂
You should watch one of his concerts, try the Almaty 2022 concert. It's on his official TH-cam channel in 3 parts. It's 4 hours long. He says ww have only seen about 35% of him ❤

Back to Diva Dance. What fascinates me the most is, that he sang this song in his concert where he had already been on stage for almost 2 hours. Just unbelievabel🤯.
And there is another awesome version of Diva Dance. It’s called Drunken Concubine and it is from the Shanghai Spring Festival Gala in China. He sings with Li Yugang, a great Chinese Opera singer who usually plays a female in classic Peking opera. He is a very famous singer in China. The two harmonize so well together. It’s really fantastic. I love it and I’m sure you will like it, too🥰.

Another thing he says when questioned about his range is "It depends" with a little secret smile. But he always makes it cleat that he considers his range just one of his many tools to reach and touch the audience with his singing.

Dimash apparently said in one interview that he can sing higher than he's done so far, of course this is insane. He has also worked very hard over the last few years to improve his lower register, which is noticeable. Another fantastic young singer from the UK I would like to recommend is 20 year old Lucy Thomas. Many reactors have said she has the most beautiful voice on the planet. She has just posted a brand new video of the classic song "Unchained Melody" l'd love to hear your opinion.

I think he challenges himself through his own compositions these days. At his level, I think the only way is to write your own music. According to his teacher he explores and experiments a lot. Who knows what he's doing at home. I think it's safe to assume that he challenges himself a lot.
This song is at the end of his first concert in Khasakstan, so that is why he is sweating 😂 It is him having fun 😊

His range is not important - it is the way he shows emotion in the song that matters ( his words, not mine😊).
I think he sings it 1/2 step lower than the original, which is pretty good for a man! Also, his ending is harder than the original as the original just ends on the lower note, but Dimash jumps up an octave as his last note!

I think that this is a semitone lower than the original but he hits higher notes in other songs so who knows why he decided to do it this way here. Also, this is during a concert and I understand that his concerts are 3 hours long. Never been to one yet, hope to go at some point.

Hey from Greece :) actually the first part which is a real opera and the aria is IL DOLCE SUONO from Lucia di Lammermoor (the mad scene as its called) was sung for the movie by the amazing Inva Mula, which by the way its not the actress playing the part on the screen :) the second part the Diva dance was composed by Eric Serra if I am not mistaken, was sung by Inva mula as well but augmented with the help of computers and special filters to reach notes thought no human could reach. Just an FYI :) love your reactions stay healthy, safe and hydrated

The Story of One Sky (his own composition) is certainly more challenging than Diva Dance! He sings it live in his recent concerts. The official live version is the premier of the song sung at Dimash’s solo Almaty concert in 2022. It’s in part 3 of the official concert video so he has already been singing for a couple of hours when he sings this absolutely amazing masterpiece!
One semitone lower, f6 instead of f#6. However there are versions where he performs a f7 (or f#7 maybe, I don't remember) whistle instead of this long run down in the middle of the song.

Nice reaction! Have you seen The Ultimate Guide to Dimash by LILaSi? If not, take a look! There are about 10-12 short videos about different aspects of Dimash. She uses live footage and interviews so it's very accurate. They are good to react to also and every Dimash fan should see them at least once! Except for "The Story of One Sky", the songs Dimash has composed himself are not really focused on fancy singing. Enjoy!🇨🇦
