      Hence the need to keep her father a secret because an affair baby between the married Council Member and the Chief Of Police would be a massive scandal that couldn't ever come out.

Massive reconstructive surgery needed. I was lucky that mostly joints weren't involved. The physical therapy was hard, but I did not have the defeated attitude Korra had. Something I realized with re-watching this season got me disappointed we didn't see more of:
    - The main thing is how the swamp-bender tribe is now. The Florida-people of the Avatar Universe just living in like trailers and houseboats and Mad Max looking shack-forts. Compared to like the camps on the dirt they lived in and the leaves and bark they wore as clothing, I'd say it's a glow-up. Also, inducting them into the Water Tribes would be nice.
    - These next two things have to do with Kuvira's map of conquest, but for one thing Kyoshi Island.
    - The second thing was Omashu
    - In short, I'm just disappointed we didn't ever return to Kyoshi Island or Omashu after Aang's time. A memorial of Bumi and Earth Kingdom soldiers and diplomats occupying the territory and claiming it while trying to erase Bumi from history, labelling the mad king as a traitor, Aang would be furious. Or even just Kuvira's army rolling up and gentrifying the place. Kyoshi Island I'm just surprised fell into disarray after the Earth Queen died, they seemed like they were doing fine for the longest time, even during the 100 year war.

      I'm not sure that she needed to do that. She didn't have to learn anything about chakras or herself for her to get control of the avatar state. So I'm not sure they will be of any real help besides understanding herself better. If anything, I don't think she could ever master her chakras. We assume it's a simple task because Aang did it in a day. But he was also a monk, and the airbenders are known for being crazy spiritual. So in reality it could take a none spiritual person years, if ever.

      @zilos262 3 ปีที่แล้ว +8

    The bag Korra carries around is a green backpack instead of the gray duffel bag she had in "After All These Years".
    At the end of "After All These Years", Korra removes her wristbands, but at the beginning of this episode, which is set directly after Korra made her way out of the arena and into a public bathroom, she is wearing them again.

      Well inconsistencies like that happen in many shows, it's nothing new. Animation errors happen in every show ever 😂. Some are in ATLA too such as when the village leader switches the wheel of punishment to Community Service, it is on the space next to Boiled in Oil. However, all of the other shots the wheel have another section in between these two and when Aang is waking up on the giant lion turtle, he is not wearing his shows in the first shot, but in the next shot, he is. These mistakes just happen in every show 😂 and bring them up literally means nothing and does nothing.

      @@yukijames1321 Aang literally went on a similar path iirc in terms of listening to the advice of the past avatars, he relied on their knowledge a lot and often took what they said to be fact and the way things should be, but eventually he realizes in the post series comics that he can choose whatever path he wants regardless of what his past lives think and he rejects the advice of Roku even. So I genuinely don’t really have a problem with them mcguffining away Korra’s connection to the past avatars, I just don’t think they would’ve made a difference in her journey at all or aided her character growth.

      It felt unnecessary dark for the sake of forcing Korra her own way. I’m more mad at the writers then Korra as a character. Like they wanted Korra to not rely so much on past lives, but they did not need to permanently erase the avatars to do it, they should have done what Aang did in the comics when he disagreed with Roku, he finally decided to cut ties with him and went on to do his own thing with relying on the past avatars. Korra could’ve done the same thing, wanting to shape her own path rather then what the other avatars wanted, killing them off was just shock value for the sake of shock value.

      @@yukijames1321 the lore still exists. Its just a new cycle with have ties to itself. Why would you want Aang, Kyoshi and so on constantly restating their own trials and hardships into the current Avatars dilemma(always overshadow the presence of them in their own series/journey)? When we've heard their perspective already and it wouldn't be as conducive in a more civil society that deals with complex and intricate instabilities. Rather than clear cut overarching ones. As what will happen in and beyond Korra.

      @@brandonlyon730 they're not erased. They are still spirits somewhere in a place yet to be discovered/rediscovered in the spirit realm(remember they were shown in the clouds while Roku told Aang of the consequences and now due to Unalaq the portals are open showing spirits dancing in the sky. Which Korra left open. Theres a possible connection there)
