We did BQL on heroic and to make sure i got the bite we kinda ignored the threat aspect since RF is so easy to rip threat of the boss, but instead made sure that im doing highest damage. This is not always easy since we have to be in front of the boss at start but when the other dps just chilled for a bit it went to me everytime, just go full blast mode as much as you can at start. On heroic you CAN for sure get the 2nd bite but we did the bite order beforehand so getting 2nd just fucked that up. Great video, this will for sure help alot of people. I searched and only found old videos and the new ones didnt go as much in depths as this one did. So good job!
Did all of these this week on heroic. It was fun to say the least. The sindragosa almost 1 shot me twice 😂. Blood infusion was cake. PP was stressful. Balancing the control of the puddles, slowing adds, and finding the perfect time to infuse was insane. Found it best to infuse in phase 2 during green ooze.
There's a much easier way of guaranteeing the first bite. It always goes on the highest threat non-tank. You therefore need to ensure that the two tanks actually have the highest threat. Therefore you have tricks on the MT and MD on the OT it works 100% of the time. Then you charge in with RF. If you have a 2nd hunter you can also just take the tricks and have the two hunters MD the tanks. Easy.
Yes that is one of the 2 ways to do it as far as I can tell, mention that later in the video. The other way is to not climb to 2nd (or highest non-tank threat) until after Blood Mirror falls, which seems to work every time. Good point about tricks / MD.
If that’s the rule, why would offtank threat matter? Highest non-tank threat would be #2 if the offtank didn’t have high threat, or #3 if they did. Wouldn’t it still be the same?
It determines who the tanks are by their threat, so if off tank is passed all fight by, say, a feral druid with UF, then the feral druid will be counted as a tank and skipped on bites.
@@amblique69 i think it is just the blood mirror debuff that determines tanks, but it doesn't update if you don't change positions. you can be 2nd threat and not considered a tank, as happened in my raid a bunch of times, as the 2nd threat got bite a bunch of times.
Just to mention if people wonder about it, I had to tank on putricide third phase. You can still complete it if you unequip shadows edge after you done with the infusion. I wasnt sure about it but I tried cause I had to equip shield later on and still did the quest 😉
The unholy one is abit complicated because you need to make sure you let one of the puddles grow but not let it get out of control. Don't just eat everything up until nothing is left, but rather leave at least one puddle up. As for the blood infusion, it is very annoying if other dps in your raid end up ripping threat in the first 10 seconds but it is possible to do it even if you get the second bite (have the first person bit immediately bite you). For frost just get the frost resistance gear and stand slightly at range in front of the boss, use shield wall and/or tank gear while wearing Shadow's Edge.
Good point. This would've been a bigger deal on heroic, but since I was on normal, the couple times I ate all the slimes it wasn't a big deal. It's free energy as long as it doesn't get out of control. I will issue a correction
I'm doing Unholy infusion tonight in HC, let me know if you want me to save the VOD in case you want to made another video about it. Most guilds won't want to let you do the quest on normal difficulty because it compromises guild progress by not allowing attempts on LK25HC

If you have 2 tanks pumping threat the first dps melee pumper will get the bite because he will come 3rd on threat. Even if you pump more threat than your second tank you'll will always be bitten because tanks can't get it. So it's either 2nd or 3rd on threat according to tanks.
Doing infusions tonight! Kinda scared 😅 I am skilled Abom driver, and BQL I will be 2nd to get the bite, cuz our guild's dps sucks (and we'll go with extra healer). I'm only worried about the Frost part, as I am expected to offtank. Anyone confirmed weather or not you need to have the axe equipped?
Do you know if you can pilot the abom, complete the infusion then hop out and let the tank finish the fight normally? Or do you have to pilot the abom the entire fight to get credit for the Unholy Infusion quest?
For Blood Queen I'm not sure why you were so confused on why you were not getting 1st bite. At the start of the fight you purposely got the Blood Mirror and you even stated that "you don't get bit if you have blood mirror" but then you seemed confused as to why you didn't get 1st bite. 1st bite almost always seems to go to highest threat that does not have blood mirror.
Blood Mirror falls off the second you move out of range. Each of my attempts it fell off 10 seconds before the bite went out. The issue is that she wasn't updating me back to a non-tank despite no debuff. In the video you can see it fall off, and it is not up when the bite went out.
@@surveillant it's probably only 1% of population will get it, even with the increased rate. I meanyou are a streamer/youtube personality so you get everything you want. I feel like most people don't get anywhere near as much as you.

It is actually much easier than HLK weapons. Just takes 6 weeks to get each one. People farming normals will get multiple as well since it's the same rate. Most raids have 1 ret and 1 fury, which are usually getting 1st and 2nd sm in whatever order. They will be more common than you think. Every raid will have 2-3 before you know it.

Even though you don't have blood mirror and should no longer be considered a tank, she still does unless your threat position changes. We confirmed this seems to be how it works on a bunch of logs and watching VODs, unless anyone can provide evidence to the contrary. This means when doing your infusion, you can be the highest non-tank threat, and still not get the bite. That was the part we had to figure out how to get around. And the solution is to either ensure both tanks are #1 and #2 so that she updates them both as tanks after you lose blood mirror, or to wait to move up to highest non-tank threat after blood mirror falls off. We spent a lot of time looking at logs and stuff yesterday. I can show you a bunch of logs where it went to 2nd on threat, as that was the highest non-tank threat at that time. You can take off shadow's edge after getting the buff and complete the quest. I tried it in my raid
honestly with the bits for the 2nd infusion, even not doing the infusion 2nd threat most the time for us doesnt get bitten over half the time

After we finish clearing for this week I will be 25-26 depending on if Blood Prince Council drops one or not. 8-9 seems average per week.

I just blacklist my dps spells except for Divine Storm. otherwise its default settings.
did you wear tank gear during bloodqueen?
nope, i didnt really take that much damage with blood mirror even on heroic. we used a raid cooldown to reduce damage.
if you do it on heroic, you need dps gear anyway, to ensure you make the enrage. and the gushing wounds reduces damage dealt.
