    Wow, that was a master class on using the bombarda. You don’t get enough credit for what you do. Most anglers I know didn’t even know what the bombarda was until you started showing it on your videos. You certainly put the bombarda on the Uk fishing map. Top man and cracking fish👍

Got my friend to tie your fly/lures etc which hopefully next year I can use for the bars of silver. Hi Douglas. Great video which I've watched a few times and I really like your perspectives on the Bombarda. It seems like I'm the only person in Western Australia who uses the Bombarda, but it's very successful on our predatory species (river and sea). It also works well on the rare occasion that I bait fish (as a running ledger). Keep the videos coming 👍

      Thanks Mike, it’s good to know the bombarda is being used by some people across the world. I think it’s an excellent piece of kit. I’m surprised it hasn’t been used for species like bone fish as I think it would be awesome.

      @@wellhookedWA for sure Mike, always something to learn where fishing is concerned, it’s one of the great things about fishing. I think so many people miss out when it comes watching or should I say not watching videos from other countries. Just because the species are different doesn’t mean that a method they have seen won’t work or be productive in their own country. Sure you may need to tweak here and there, baits, lures and hook sizes to suit your own species but it’s about trying, it might just be the best thing since sliced bread. It’s like the bombarda in the Uk, I’ve only touched the surface on species this could help people catch fresh and salt waters.

    I'm having trouble sourcing a sinking bombarda, if you use intermediate would you just give it a bit longer before the retrieve? Cracking vid, what do you have the camera sitting on in the water? I assume an extending bank stick? You must have a lot of confidence in that particular spot.

    • @PiscatorUK-Fishing
      @PiscatorUK-Fishing  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Many thanks mate. I get most of my bombarda from eBay, if it’s an all clear bombarda your looking at it’s a sinking one. some classify them as intermediate. The only true intermediate bombardas are opaque in colour with a brass insert. For the camera when I’m fishing on sand or soft ground I use a leg of one of my old aluminium fishing tripods as a spike with my camera on top. The only thing with using a single pole with the camera is when your fishing in a strong tide the pole starts to wobble but as you seen it works a treat when there’s not much flow. Hope this helps.

    • @PiscatorUK-Fishing
      @PiscatorUK-Fishing  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi there, I have tried the floating bombarda for sea trout and in my experience there’s no advantage to using it. I stick to the all clear intermediate or sinking bombarda which can also be fished close to the surface by working it faster. The rubber beed can move on the line but the eye of the swivel tends to go inside the beed this can protect the knot even more👍
