If there is one dark chapter in Annavara Career it is the handling of the fall out from the Article appeared in Sudha magazine. If I remember it correctly 2 journalists( Gangadhar Mudaliyar and another person) were kidnapped and hidden in their family farm in Bidadi. This had created a major controversy and you can read about this in the book about the collection of Lankesh's weekly column Teekay Tippani. Lankesh had obtained an appointment to interview Dr.Raj and on the day when he turned up at their house Dr.Raj was a no show and instead Parvathamma met him and gave some vague reason. Obviously , Dr.Raj was too embarrassed to face Lankesh and chose the easiest way to escape from the probing questions of Lankesh.

IMHO, I do not think what he says on amarashipi movie is correct. First of all it was a dual production in telugu ANR and in kannada it was KK. They had similar looks and so the casting was like that. Rajkumar could not have been given Jakkana’s sons role as that character is that of a very small boy. It is possible that Rajkumar’s role was given to Udayakumar, the king in the movie??
Sadly nobody from B S Ranga's family and Hunsuru Krishnamurthy's family to defend themselves. Just because Rajkumar is a popular actor...the others are treated as lesser citizens of the film world. Let me tell you. H Krishna Murthy was not an ordinary director, writer, producer, actor to portray him in poor light. Has Parvathamma Rajkumar not caused slight to other actors in the Industry. One sided stories are not correct. You have to present the view from the other side also. Rajkumar is a great actor and great man...but others are not mediocre.
Truth always difficult to digest for all, this we have heard it many more years back, Dr. Raj was a such a great gentleman that he never take it into his head and continued with every one politely, humbled and like a student, he was considered all director's like a teacher.
@@shanthakumar7314 Let there be no debate on Raj Kumar's greatness. Movie making is teamwork. Contribution from all leads to its success. An individual may have great talent...it will only work when it is balanced with the contribution of others. Under a bright sun light....candle light or an oil lamp may not find opportunity to show its radiance. Also it is natural for words to be exchanged during the making of a movie or any project. Can't give a different spin to it.
@@wanderingmystic6968 see gentle man, you are not understanding that issue, after those incidents, they themselves wanted him to act in their movies and they would have underrated him and caste etc.. I don't know what is your age and those days how they ill treated other lower caste community etc.. I have personal experience even I born in upper caste etc..
Very difficult to understand by younger generation leave it , if we talk or fight useless truth always be a great today or tomorrow

Understand theatre...from the times of Gubbi Veeranna, Subbaiah Naidu...Ranga Geete, filmi music and personalities. I admire talent and a patron of art..not personalities. Respect your views on Dr Raj. No issues with that. I am an admirer too. But I don't look at smaller actors and undermine their talent. Art is the same. Some have a big body of work and others less. It doesn't diminish the quality of the craft. We have to bring equality when we measure pure talent. That is why we have too many stars abd few actors.
