And as much as I love Patton, his younger self did come across as a bit of an arrogant dick. But he actually sounds sincere here. Probably because he's mate's with Rollins.
I was at the show Rollins talks about at around 13 mins, I still remember it very well. I was on holidays with a German family, 17 years old (on a language exchange trip) and found out there was a rock festival beside us. It was a water park, bizarre place for a music festival. Anyway, I remember Patton was speaking in Italian between songs. Got to see Rollins Band playing earlier in the day too. Danzig were on the bill, but cancelled (still annoyed I didn’t see them).
It's so great to hear 2 guys talk about Sun Ra , Tom Disseveld, Dick Raaijmakers, and Conlon Nancarrow. I always thought that I was the only one who knew them.
Zappa, you know whats up. i was glad to hear him mention nancarrow, messer chups, and buckethead. i always wonder what his relationship to trey from mr bungle is these days since treys band secret chiefs is opening for dead cross. ps big swifty fave song off waka jawaka
1st time i heard Patton was in the bed the night before MEPS in a hotel in Waikiki on KTUH getting ready to "join" the military back in 1990 in high school . Didn't join but called the station at 3am asking "is that Beastie Boys or RHCP or what the HECK ?" . DIdn't join of course but began a long love affair with the many faced gods that are Mike Patton ,Zorn , Boredoms, Mr Bungles ..... Still diggin it . DOn't get me started on the dopeness that is Mr Rollins
So, i saw the FNM reunion tour and amazingly got backstage for thier last song... they finished and are basically hurrying offstage directly into the bus to take off.... the only real time i felt like a fan boy.... everyone pretty much walks by my friend who was brave enough to request a selfy.... Mike sees this and stops and says SURE. And we all hugged his sweaty ass and got it... so freaking COOL. COOLGUY!! A chance in a lifetime for a lifelong fan, still blows my mind

My favorite ever Ipecac artists is Imani Copolla. She is amazing, especially that record. She has a new one out too that is great.
You guys are looking healthy - Doing what you love keeps you good.
Damn...can't believe I just discovered this now. Could listen to these two forever.
The Mighty Mike Patton is the greatest front man of all time, and it ain’t even close.
Totally agree.
@@fattyjaybird7505 that’s awesome! I didn’t get into FNM until 2018 which is insane bc I love music and they had inspired a lot of my favorite bands at the time and still to this day. Anyways, I completely fell in love with the band and voraciously consume their work and Pattons other bands. Had tickets to see them for first time but the pandemic happened. I hope I get to see them live at some point 🙏🏻
@stevenwright7958 muurrr, well west coast missed out apparently if youre here.... lol, wow man.... ive been on a Bungle streak and never expected to get a reply on a five year old vid....within minutes......
now THATS awesome 😁😁😁
@@fattyjaybird7505 YT notifications on. But yeah just saw Bungle for second time at Palladium Hollywood. Need FNM live. Hell, who even know if they’ll get back together
This interview is so amazing !
Two of my absolute heroes.
I have so many great 1990's memories tied to Mike and seeing/listening to Fantamos, mr Bungle, and Faith. They seriously effected my drumming and bass playing.
MR BUNGLE!!!!!
I randomly moved to various parts of the interview and every time, Henry is talking.
You gotta actually listen to the interview....
Geez, Mike. Give Henry some time to talk, would ya?
Who hears heath ledger's joker in mike when he talks.....or is it just me
I hear it
Haha totally
They should offer him a voice role as Joker in a future Batman animated project;Patton could pull it off,he has such a wide range of voice abilities it's staggering.
Bryan Nolan Ledger’s Joker was inspired by Tom Waits but ya can kinda hear it
patton is the spitting image of cocky tony stark the ironman !
Terrific interview.
what a great interview! ...two of my fav musicians chatting, could listen to them for hours ...would have even been more interesting if Lombardo had joint the conversaton too
Mr.Bungle............Squeeze me macaroni!!!
Best band ever
I wanna lock Betty Crocker in the kitchen
Knock her upper during supper
Clutter up her butter gutter
Hostess Ding-Dong wrapped an egroll around my wong
While Dolley Madison proceeded to ping my pong
*Pure Poetry*
Slap my face with your bologna
It's so great when musical giants like these get together. The stories are so amazing.
Two fucking kings talking about ruling
Listening to Mike is like listening to a musical instrument talk.
Love both of these guys, especially Patton who's music has influenced me over the years in ways i still haven't figured out. But hank needs to let the guests talks sometimes, but you can tell he's very excited and has a lot of respect for Patton, btw Mr. Bungle best band ever!!!
Patton’s projects are interesting. FNM is my fav group of his because it’s not chaotic like the others but gotta luv him
Epic Interview

Oh Patten, even his speaking voice is dreamy. Stop it ! Lovley interview :)
This is one of my favourite conversations of all time. I love these men to death.
Thank you Mike and thank you Henry. I hope i get to meet you both in person one day, if I happen to be that lucky :P
Two complete legends. Wonderful interview. If only we could've had the music to go along with it. Should've posted it complete. Who gives af about the copywrite strike?! Take the cut. It's what they would've done.
This was freaking delightful
The interview dream team! Legends.
Such a music nerd. Love him.
Amazing!!!
Man, I would've loved to have heard this live with the tracks included. Dig it
Mac Tireliath , you can still listen to it on KCRW
I love these stories....
Two awesome talented people.
They could curb the ego. Just a touch.
The Lux Interior story cracks me up
this is great. smiles big
anne yaque chavez you're hot
mike patton's voice sounds different, but henry's voice sounds the same as it did 25 years ago
I heard it's TRUE that Mike will be the next lead singer of Wolfmother
I believe Mike is currently the president of the Wolfmother fan club
Caso alguém assistir e se puder ao menos colocar as principais conversas em português, ficaria muito contente.
Obrigado pelo post!!!👏👏👏👏
Espero que entiendas un poco de español: Aprende inglés, hermano.
My first encounter with Mike Patton was 95 Alternative nation eastern creek Australia &I was hooked
I would pay all the monies I have for Rollins and Patton do a metal morning podcast. Yeesssss!
32:53 Rollins is talking about the Praxis project with Laswell, Bootsy , Buckethead and lots of others . Great stuff like " Sacrafist " and the debut etc ...
Unexpected combination but what a great interview.
Fairly sure his comfortable, conversational voice spans at least one octave.
I actually would have loved to have heard this with the music intact. They're describing some really wild stuff.
*Perfect! Respect & salutations from Tottenham, London!*
Tyrone Warren
My God Tottenham is a dump.
13:10 --- He's talking about Evan Seinfeld from Biohazard ... that was the Senoria 95 festival in Milan, Italy ... 1995 of course. 🟪🟪🟪🟩
