    - The turotial Island can be skipped.
    - Hair style can still be changed the old fashion way at Falador barber. But it's more convenient to change it through the Menu.
    - RS3 had a major issue with that post-tutorial where playeres landed in Burthope and got lost and see the massive list of tasks/achievement/skills and they just gave up as it was too overwhelming. That is why there is the option that asks you what type of player you are (new, experienced etc).
    - The magic teleport isn't useless at all. It is being actively used for clues, but yeah, people want to go fast on RS3. No time to walk from point A to B.
    - I don't recall there is a Day/Night cycle system in game... I do know Skybox setting changes the look of it for everywhere you go though.
    - Dungeoneering isn't fully member. End-game of dungeoneering, sure, but early stuff of that skill is f2p.
    - Jagex recently added Shift-click to Drop item from inventory. Check your in-game gameplay settings (off by default, you don't want real new players to accidentally drop their items).
    - GE feeling empty is due to high level players (members) using another grand exchange located in Prif. It only require 1 free instant teleport and you end up inside the building 4tiles away from GE npc.
For your review, do you fact check stuff that you are about to mention through the game wiki? Some stuff you mention, it felt like you are saying it as a fact, while it is only your (limited) experience.

Ive seen various places in the game at night. So it looked like night/day.
Just because early stuff is accessed at free, doesnt mean its not members. I have levels in some member skills because of entry quests for free members. But you cant access it beyond that. So that argument doesnt work
The magic teleport system is usless if i can teleport to any major city for free with 0 CD

Regarding that night/day thing, if you stay in that same spot for hours, you will not see it change. There is no such system.
All member skills can be leveled to certain cap (5 in most and 20 for archaeology). But this doesn't mean you have real access to member content including member item.
0 Cooldown teleport is not true unless you use Viswax for the lodestones. Viswax isn't really cheap either. And normal lodestone teleport takes about 8-10 seconds to actually get there with the animation going on.
Just because you can reach the major cities with lodestone, that doesn't mean it is the closest to the Clue spot. That is why Magic spell Teleports are better in such cases.

@@excalligatorreviews4088 Dungeoneering is as f2p as defence for example, members stuff doesn't start until the 60's so yes that arguement does work here. The other skills you mention don't go further than lvl 5-10.

This was in general rough to watch. It seems like you have barely scratched the surface of both osrs and rs3. From having played for almost 20 years its not a 40 hour free to play game. You played a free to play account. A good amount of what you said about rs3s combat system was inaccurate. I think you need to try rs3 with someone like Init Yeah or another youtube who had played the game for a lot longer. I think the issues you had with the game were due to not having played enough of either to really make a decision or a rating. Membership for one gives you it for both.

Ive completed almost every quest and have skills lv 60-99 in osrs. Wtf do you mean barely scratched the surface?
Also its not like i played 20 years straight. I was gone for like almost a decade between before I came back for osrs a few years ago. Then just tried rs3 for free to see if i liked it or not. I would say 40 hours is perfectly fine for a review. Its not 2 hours or anything stupid like that.
Majority of my reviews i aim for 30-40 or more hours played before i review. Or if its a small game, i complete it 100% first.

      @titan_uprising 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +5

right. I see where both of you are coming from, and I can possibly help translate. so, for a game like rs3, 40 hours really is barely scratching the surface well enough to get a grasp of the game. its been a problem for a while and its something jagex has taken some steps towards alleviating, but its still very much a problem.
for example, having played a bit of osrs ironman, I can confidently say it is much more new player friendly with fun activities that are available at lower levels, like wintertodt. however one of the common sayings in rs3 is that you have finally entered the mid-game WHEN YOU MAX YOUR ACCOUNT. it makes sense why the xp rates are so high in comparison.
unfortunately that means a lot of grinding. bossing has become the core of fun for most players in rs3 especially with the addition of necromancy which was meant to be a combat skill to get more people in to pvm, as the barrier for entry was quite high before. now you can train necromancy and get end game gear just by skilling and doing its quests tied with it.
anyways I digress, so much of the game is locked behind members it would have been better to use the same account you use for osrs for that shared membership and to have given it a bit more time. for instance invention and archaeology are amazing skills that enhance gameplay all throughout the game. literally. both of them have perks that aid in some way with almost if not all skills. and with pvm being the core of rs3, and the changes to the combat system, bossing is kicked up to an eleven. not only is it about positioning, its about dps rotations, well timed defensives, enemy group manipulation, buffs, debuffs, Advanced prayer flicking where we weave in a curse called soul split between each enemy attack so we can heal a bit of damage since protections only block 50% of damage in rs3.
lastly, questing in rs3... you picked some OKAY quests to do, but by and far they were not the best that rs3 has to offer at those levels. and thats partly a huge restriction because again no members. the fort forinthry quest line is a decent questline in rs3 that even new players can get behind. seeing as pvp is disabled in rs3 wilderness by default and its been turned into a slayer area, the fort forinthry questline is basically the beginning of a story of us taking back the wilderness and healing it.
Theres still so much to the game that you've yet to even experience and thats fine. I think that is what is meant by not scratching the surface. theres just SO MUCH CONTENT, that 40 hours isn't enough for this large of a scale. had you given it maybe 100 or 200 hours it would have been a more in depth review. which sounds like its a lot but think of the game you are talking about. While 40 hours is enough to talk about your average rpg or jrpg, for mmorpg's its waaaaay different. and thats largely due to the depth the games have. I gurantee if you went to say Elder scrolls online or Albion Online, you would get the same reaction. and thats because the nature of mmo's expects at least 100-200 hours before you start to really get it.
this sounds ridiculous, but mmo's are also designed with dopamine drops that make you want to stick around that long. it keeps drip feeding you dopamine so it doesnt feel bad to play that long, you just do.
anyways sorry for the long rant, but I hope that answered some questions as to why a lot of people are probably going to act like you didnt give it a fair chance :)

@excalligatorreviews4088 I apologize for making an assumption and not backing it up with facts. I think 40 hours is fine for triple A games that only have 40 or 50 hours worth of content. In those games, you have played most of the game. Games like osrs, WOW, and rs3 have thousands of hours of gameplay. There are more than 300 quests/miniquests in rs3. There are members' skills you didn't touch. 14/29 skills in a free to play account that you have not given a chance to play. Archeology is one of the best, in my opinion. Bossing and PVM/PVE is one of the main drives in the game. This is also something that a low to mid teir game play can't fully experience. Also, it seemed like you didn't understand how combat worked with the action bar or didn't explain it well enough. There are 4 ways to play legacy which is the same as osrs, manual which is full control of your action bar, only basic abilities and then revolution + which is fully automatic with threshold and ultimate abilities besides special spells or items that you can use including weapon specs i believe into your bar. I'm not saying what you made or did was bad, but your review has far less weight than it could have provided you played the game more fully. Runescape in either form isn't for all people, and it can be super grindy and not for everyone. But on the account of your review, I dont feel like you gave rs3 the chance it deserves.
Also I meant i have played for 20 years on and off. And lil ribbing 99 cooking doesn't count.

25:29 when you entered the Wilderness you had pvp disabled so even if you ran into someone you wouldn't have been able to fight them. RS3 is also more PvM focused so most players are killing bosses then training their skills.

You missed so many good points in RS3 it seems like you just hate it, duel welding does matter in what weapons you have like skeleton are weak to crush so the mace will out dps will any other weapon of the same variety. The wilderness events are massive and amazing for xp. And you don’t die in the wilderness at all unless you flag for it.

Rs3 is a pay to win game. It would be a good game if it was completely reset and all of the micro transactions left the game. The game is so bloated that it makes it very overwhelming and not fun until very very end game.
