@@eugenegutierrez5106 To an untrained nose it most definitely does! Let’s be honest here and look at the fact the same perfumer created both. The similarities are there my friend.

Love this offering from Creed. Was the very first one I bought back in 2002. Smelled better years ago, but is still a classy force to be reckoned with. Thanks for reviewing this.
I finally pulled the trigger and bought GIT and I must say, the drydown is where the magic happens for me, and where the clones come short. There are some clones with similar opening, but noen of them has the beautiful drydown the original has. Love this one! 🥰
This and Royal Oud are the only two Creeds I genuinely enjoy, with Royal Oud being the only one I would actually pay money for, at least the amount Creed is asking. So I really hope you get to review it one day. Knowing how critical you are towards anything that says Oud, I think your take on it would be very interesting!
didnt he already do indirectly? knowing that aaron does not like aquatics 😊 however, there is a nice parfums vintage revival of the vintage git version i highly recommend
Funny, I just did. 🙂 Having them next to each other. Asking some women if they're alike (next to another not that similar) and which one is better smelling (Creed, but expected, given the price).
They reason reason they smell similar is because the perfumer that did both of these fragrances is Pierre Bourdon (who didn’t get credit for it from Creed). Bourdon took the same formula and shopped it around to designers, was getting turned down by the big names until Davidoff came and said “heck yeah we’ll take this!”. To the average person, Cool Water and Green Irish Tweed smell identical.
Probably because he’s trying to get in to your wallet as well. Why do you think all his videos are “This is great…….but I would do it so much better for so much cheaper”” He’s reviewing fragrances, pretending to be on your side while basically doing a commercial for his brand. Why sell you a link when he can sell your a fragrance of which he’s the owner.

I’ve had 4 bottles of this over the years, first bottle in 2005, last bottle in 2020. It’s really not changed at all, although some would disagree. Great performance, lasts all day on my skin, even the 2020 bottle. A great fragrance all round, something about it I just love.
This might be a little off for some reason but they don't "NEED"to change it at first place. The man behind making this perfume don't get credit for such great craft by creed so he decide to left and join the join new company and made "COOL WATER"that's why GIT AND COOL WATER smell the same. I got interlude black iris for much less than this fragrance retails for and the quality difference is massive .
Erolfa is the creed that really stands out to me, feels quality in a way that warrants the price (unlike the others😅) hope you get the chance to review it
Absolutely gorgeous perfume, got a bottle for my birthday, it's just me! I absolutely love it. It doesn't last very long that's the only problem. Keep up the great work 👍

You note £245 for 100 mL - that same bottle in the USA is $470 from Nordstrom (a standard nice department store). And then the reverse is true for, say, Tom Ford.

I have a older bottle of GIT in the 4 oz bottle, and a newer bottle from 2020. I can say between my bottles the 4 oz and the 2020 that my older one lasts longer and projects better ever so slightly. GIT was my first niche fragrance so it holds a special place in my heart, it is truly fantastic and my favorite Creed.
maybe it's because the older bottle has been macerating for so long? lots of people say Creed needs to have a few month after first spraying it for the oils and everything to start playing fully.
@@rncrntdh8 Could be? Not 100% sure, but I know something like this happened to my bottle of Viking that I bought new, was not a big fan, then on a whim about 6 months down the line tried it again, totally different smell for the better.

I can smell a bit of this in the drydown of Millesime imperial as well. The Creed fragrances have a bit of overlap, as we know. And from internet rumors (possibly based in fact), this is one of Pierce Brosnan`s (007), favorite fragrances.
The *orginal* non-reformatuated was less expensive than today's version and well worth the *price* because it was long lasting and a *champion* for the *price* back then.
I seriously can’t see how anyone could want to smell like Irish Spring SOAP! Reminds me of my old next door neighbors bathroom. Bc they used Irish Spring soap. I smelled this for the first time and was so excited at Bloomingdale’s and I was seriously this is what everyone’s likes? To smell like Irish Spring soap bar? Mmmmmkaaaay
The scent is just perfect for me. It's masculine without being aggressively metallic or loud. I don't wear loads of scent. I go light with colognes and that's the first of only two downwides with Creed fragrances. They use ambergris and old-timey ingredients so their fragrances don't have much hang-time. It's 50% worn off by the afternoon. The top notes are all worn off after a few hours and there's just the base-layer is left. I used to keep a tiny decanted atomizer in my desk at work to reload some later in the day. The other thing is the cost. It's excessive, as the video points out, especially for a scent that wears off rather quickly.
I get 8-10 hours out of this fragrance and wafts throughout most of the wear. Absolutely in love after I got a tester definitely full bottle worthy for me !
I tested a vintage batch versus mine, which is a 17Y01, and I noticed a difference (the vintage smell more "floral", and mine is more "greener"). About the performance, I got 10 hours (and more) of performance
Yes i thought I’d gone crazy, I was sure Aaron had reviewed this and said it smelt really 80’s. This fragrance will always hold a special place in my heart as it was one of the more elegant fragrances I had tried and actually could still smell on my pillow the next time I went to lie down and there was something about the majestic matte bottle which tilted it's top hat towards Cary Grant for whom the fragrance was created. I don't think it is as powerful as it use to be (sadly). I took a chance once and bought one of ebay from a guy in my country who's girlfriend bought it from an upscale department store but he just didn't care for it. Turned out to be the real schnizzle for 65$. I don't recommend ebay for Creed generally as it is a real crap shoot.
As if I were in a court. 😄. I did actually recently learn George Washington was a fan of perfume. Caswell-Messey is the name of the brand, and they still make it (though of course the formula has changed)
Hi, is it pronounced "vetiver" (as it is spelled) or as you are saying it, "vertiver", or is this just a regional pronunciation you are using? Thank you
I have a 2020 batch bottle of GiT and I hardly ever use it. Primary reason? It doesn't last beyond the first 2 - 3 hours. I was given a 2015 sample of it a while back, and it is noticeably better, both in strength and longevity. Not that I'm even remotely surprised... Creed have been fleecing their loyal customers for at least seven years now. I won a 90% full bottle of July 2019 Royal Oud in a competition, and I'm so, so glad I never actually bought a full bottle of post-2017. In fact, I have absolutely no intention of buying ANYTHING from them that isn't at least seven or eight years old.
I have two bottles of this beast, one 16 years old and the other 11 years….. very long lasting and will smell on clothes after a wash, I’ve sampled todays GIT and it’s very light compared. The only thing with the older stuff is the top notes turn after a few years but if you get past that it still blows todays GIT out the water.
I think GIT is nice but not amazing and I certainly would not spend the money on it. Not sure how Creed are going to continue as a house going forward, unless they come up with some new and exciting releases. By the way a fragrance I really love right now is Amouroud Hinoki wood, I would love to you see you review it and get the ATH critique..😁
On Fragmentals channel when you blind smelled Green Irish Tweed you said it smelled blue and that you didn't like it. Has your opinion changed on this fragrance? I remember you weren't liking Creed fragrances.
Hello Aaron, is there by any chnace, a posssibilty of you opening a factory or a parfumery inside of the EU. I'd gladly buy your fragrances always directly from your web site, as I find them very interesting and nice and want to give the money directly to you, but sadly UK left the EU and along with it came these pretty much big import taxes and duties on everything from outside the EU. I wanted to buy Daddy from your web site but unfortunately would need to pay about 60 euros only for import taxes and then 7 euro plus for duties( I live in Germany) wich makes it a bit, hmm to much. Are there maybe parfumeries inside Germany that offer your parfumes?
Why are people comparing this to Cool Water? Cool water smells like fruity vomit diluted with water. Also, how is this light and airy? It’s very woodsy and green with some dank notes. Mine lasts all day.
Creed is amazing. It's been long understood that they've provided the highest levels of perfumery for kings and queens going back eons, including rumors that their family line provided scent experiences for the ancient Mu and Atlantis lost civilizations. Apparently, even for the Pleiadians and Andromedans (tho they keep that on the down-low). This history enables them to charge ten times more for GIT than Cool Water charges, which is the same fragrance...the same, but without the royal history, interplanetary relations and subsequent social proof.
"We have also perfume-houses; wherewith we join also practices of taste. We multiply smells, which may seem strange. We imitate smells, making all smells to breathe out of other mixtures than those that give them." - Sir Francis Bacon, in his book, "The New Atlantis" (published in the year 1626).
I agree with you Aaron. I adore GIT and have for years. Creed has been escalating their pricing and at somewhat obnoxious levels. GIT is a love of mine each spring and with the current pricing, I can no longer afford it. That is sad to me. There are alternatives but I do love the real thing more. Thank you for teaching us about the industry as well as how perfume is assembled. I am always interested in your diagnosis as well as thoughts.
Actually you smelled this years ago blindly with Chris(Frag-mental) 😊 I guess you said something like “its smells like 90’s rockstars”😂 you said its Ok back in the time and I agree. Good smelling but expensive fragrance get it you’ll get compliments but its not ground breaking or anything.
Had this about 8 years ago, It was all the things you wish it was, definitely long lasting you'd smell it for days if you never washed it off, was massively projecting had to be very careful how much i sprayed. Shame if its no longer the same. i've been thinking about buying a bottle for a while, would be weary about paying that ammount of money for an inferior version of it.
Hey Aaron can i suggest you to review guerlain l'homme ideal line (extreme and edp version). Recently I bought extreme and smelt edp, nothing like them, very unique scents, i think you would like it. Only bad thing about them they don't last long. Big regards.
Anyone who wears this fragrance today (2023) can give a genuine feedback about longevity on skin/clothes and sillage? I love this fragrance but I have only tried on my wrist from a tester bottle at John Lewis and I d like to hear some of you! Thank you!
My favorite new cologne. I bought a bottle for around $250. My brother said why would you spend so much. What a waste of money. The bottle will last the whole year..
All I want to know Aaron is when your monstrous version is coming out … I’m already in. I have 9 of your fragrances and they are all monsters. I just put one of my friends onto your site Or Maxaroma. Definitely believe you should make a limited run of your version and take on this creed Irish tweed like you did for this last summer high voltage was a banger.
McDonalds St. Patrick's Day milkshake (as I imagine such a thing to smell!). In a good way, genuinely-pure green & creamy. But that's kind of it. Prob a great smell to wear in a suit in the spring (or everyday in the spring). Just think green & creamy, and you've got it.
Curious, when you say you’d love to see vetiver in this 🤔 I couldn’t help but wonder if you meant javinol style rooty vetiver like Molecule 03, or a more smoother refined Haitian vetiver?
This is one I'm looking at adding to my collection this holiday season. Tested it for the first time today and love the smell! But agreed on the longevity and projection. It has the upper tier price, but not the upper tier performance. Now at the 12 hour mark, its presence I'd compare to PDM fragrances at the 24 hour mark.
I really love this creed and have always loved it since I first smelled it just a great signature scent that will not offend anyone and it's one of my many bottles I have actually run through
You mention Naomi, this used to be like the Aventus back in its day. Everyone apparently wore it from Robbie Williams to George Clooney. Clones weren't as common but if you believe the story Cool Water was the same perfumer, though Creed like to hide that, so it's believed Cool Water was the affordable version. I certainly remember my dad wearing it growing up and borrowing it. Now GIT to me smell like that generic Creed base and then nice and green, I do like it but no interest in actually wearing it.
Royal oud is prob their best from the line in my opinion a have many creed frags and love them all. GIT is definitely up there as well. I just received a bottle of Erolfa and it seems somewhat changed from what I remember but I still love it. Definitely fits an older demographic but it’s very well done.

I took a chance once and bought one of ebay from a guy in my country who's girlfriend bought it from an upscale department store but he just didn't care for it. Turned out to be the real schnizzle for 65$. I don't recommend ebay for Creed generally as it is a real crap shoot.
Actually it was created for George Washington, by Thomas Jefferson.
@@wib6044 Surely you jest.
As if I were in a court. 😄.
I did actually recently learn George Washington was a fan of perfume. Caswell-Messey is the name of the brand, and they still make it (though of course the formula has changed)
I sending mine back I absolutely love it but yes exactly the projection and life on it is weak weak for the price.
Id love to see you review Creed Royal Oud. It is so good!!!
I have a 2019 bottle and I thought the performance was terrible but I left it for a year and now it’s monstrous 🤔
I am wearing this today for the first time. Really nice bright Irish spring type soap scent.
Most the creed brand has been reformulated and doesn’t last long at all I’d prefer a dupe for the price and spray somewhat heavy
L'Aventure Knight, by Al Haramain, is the clone I have and enjoy.
@@RichardOliver thanks for this I shall take a look at this one
This and Royal Oud, for me, are the best ones from Creed.
Always like to wear GIT to change things up no matter what time of year! ✌️
Great review Aaron. Thanks!
Dry down is still gorgeous on this. I wonder if this, layered over a vetiver-heavy scent, would do the trick?
I remember you weren't liking Creed fragrances.
these are excellent fragrance reviews. You're weird, have expertise and express yourself fantastically!
Great review Aaron , this was my fathers perfume , think it much watered down days . Not my personal favourite .
One of my favorites. Would be interested in a modern update to the formula.
I’ve got this - an amazing scent, proper businessperson perfume ha.
Thank you for the review! 👍👍👍
Any ATH Black Friday deals going this month? Before I'm all spent up 🙂😍😍😍
Aaron where could I buy that unicorn shirt that you have would love to buy it
Also creed go on about been really old and having X amount of years history I think the first release was the early 80s haha.
I know. Its a joke now!
The price point should be the same as Sauvage Elixir but niche quality with the same potency.
Underrated comment
Had me in the first half 😂
"We have also perfume-houses; wherewith we join also practices of taste. We multiply smells, which may seem strange. We imitate smells, making all smells to breathe out of other mixtures than those that give them." - Sir Francis Bacon, in his book, "The New Atlantis" (published in the year 1626).
@@TheJofrica Olivier's great-great-great-second-cousin's father's great-grandfather's brother I heard.
Yes they had the first, and last perfume retailer in Atlantis.
The color of your shirt is great. Looks really good on you.
I recommend looking out for sales. Fragrance shops hold the biggest sales especially in this time of the year
It would have been nice with a tiny amount of vetiver in this one.
Actually you smelled this years ago blindly with Chris(Frag-mental) 😊 I guess you said something like “its smells like 90’s rockstars”😂 you said its Ok back in the time and I agree. Good smelling but expensive fragrance get it you’ll get compliments but its not ground breaking or anything.
it needs updating
Your amazing, I watch your videos to calm down.
I cant wait when you will make Marc Antoine Barrios Ganymede review. Kind regards
Aaron would you be able to try out the inspired version of Green Irish Creed, Armaf Tres Nuit?
Could you please review the original Spicebomb, Aaron?
yes. Its coming up in the next 2 weeks
One of my favorite frags last at least 6 hours on my skin projects well also I love it
Really curious what you think about Memoir Man by Amouage!
Would love to see you something like GIT
Please do a dior homme parfum review! Love you videos Aaron!
Id love smooth Vetiver. A few amberwoods. More fixitives
I really like Creed's Baie De Genievre (which to me is somewhat reminiscent of Carnal Flower to me but with a barbershop twist. (Discontinued).
Hi Aaron please would you be able to review Lhomme ideal EDP from guerlain at some point ?
Patiently waiting for Aaron's discovery box to be back in stock 🙏
Will be February 2023!
@@AaronTerenceHughes Setting a calender reminder lol thanks!
This may be a case of nose blindness, because this thing is on my clothes the next day
I love this smell, but could never justify the price for the performance... however if you made your take on it, I'd snap it up immediately
Does anyone here also think that Silver Mountain water smells very similar to milisime Imperial?
Yes, they do share similarities
Try Papillon artisan, les indemodables pls:) and mb Francesca bianchi, every your review is golden! Best creeds for me royal Mayfair, viking, aventus
The new formulation has mint. Older bottles are heavier on violet leaf, lemon verbena and ambergris
Any idea when it was reformulated?
Love the cannabinol t-shirt. My inner medicinal chemist likey it
Hi aaron, would you like to review acqua di parma perfumes?
I can't tell the difference between Davidoff Cool Water and GIT.
Starting with the positive:
Greetings Aaron, enjoy the videos.
I really love this creed and have always loved it since I first smelled it just a great signature scent that will not offend anyone and it's one of my many bottles I have actually run through
Drinking game: Take a shot every time he says “light, airy”
I was interested to see Aaron's take on this. I had really wanted to like it but really couldn't.
Hi there, does Creed or Tom Ford have longevity more?
