  • This is an Audio Spectrum Analyzer ♥
    The Spectrum Analyzer is a special type of a sound Level Meter. Consequently, it allows the engineer to examine the amplitude versus the frequency spectrum of a sound. They use multiple sets of filter networks and vertical colums display the information arranged from Low to High frequencies, Left to Right. In addition, these analyzers usually have third-octave spacings between the frequencies within a range between 20hz to 20 kHz.
    ● Feature of this Spectrum Analyzer:
    - Working voltage: DC5V (Powered by USN)
    - Standby current: 5mA @ 5V DC
    - Working current: 40mA @ 5V DC
    - Signal input method: 3.5mm audio cable
    - Signal: Microphone (insert audio cable for cable priority)

      Purtroppo così al volo non saprei come fare, o meglio, andrebbe ritoccato il "software" scritto in quel microcontrollore, ma hanno ben pensato di cancellare il nome dell'IC e di non indicarlo nemmeno sullo schema.. bisognerebbe quindi andare per tentativi.. :(

      @@Stefano91ste COmunque il kit KT376 di PlayKit (C.T.E. International) utilizzava due MC1458 ed un UAA 180 per i LED. Ed era estensibile.

      Ho visto che non è più disponibile.. non ho trovato nemmeno delle valide alternative, devo decidermi a progettarne uno mio da zero. Non conoscevo il KIT che mi hai detto, cme se dovessi progettarne uno mi piacerebbe farlo completamente analogico, 32 bande da 10 LED ognuna comandata da un LM3915

    What is the name of the IC?

      Hi, it's definitely a programmable microprocessor (like PIC or ATMEL IC), in the user manual it is called "WD1088" but I can't find any datasheet with this name.. also the integrated is completely black, without any legible writing or code.

    Nice video . I fond of spectrum analyser by which a stereo amplifier may complete . Once the the completed kit was available with LED or VFD display . Now a days VFD display is not available. I searched it and finally got it . Thank you.

    Did you tried a single tone on different frequencies? Because it doesn't look like is discriminating by frequency on each column.

      Ciao, è un microcontrollore. Non saprei dirti se PIC, Atmel o altro dato che sull'integrato non è presente alcuna sigla.

      Certo, considera che il test nel video è fatto con musica riprodotta dal cellulare.. per montarlo in auto basta alimentarlo tramite USB

      Unfortunately I can not understand it, in the diagram is not indicated and the ic does not report anything. I think it is an ATmel, or in any case a programmed microcontroller.

      Unfortunately, the manufacturer deleted the name from the IC, so I don't know which programmer to use to extract it
