Hey Luke! In tandem to the part of the video when you were asking what friends were, the reason why arabic may be hard to pronounce, or quite literally a "mouth full", is because the Arabs historically are known for reaching the cusp of linguistic expression, philology poetry--all things language, and so expressing language with all areas of the mouth contributes to the "fullness" of expression, also In Arabic, there are 12 levels of friendship. Here are the levels: 1. Zameel - someone you have a nodding acquaintance with 2. Jalees - someone you’re comfortable sitting with for a period of time 3. Sameer - you have good conversation with them …this is where things get serious 4. Nadeem - a drinking companion (just tea) that you might call when you’re free 5. Sahib - someone who’s concerned for your wellbeing … now we’re in the real ranks of friendship 6. Rafeeq - someone you can depend upon. You’d probably go on holiday with them 7. Sadeeq - a true friend, someone who doesn’t befriend you for an ulterior motive 8. Khaleel - an intimate friend, someone whose presence makes you happy 9. Anees - someone with whom you’re really comfortable and familiar 10. Najiyy - a confidant, someone you trust deeply 11. Safiyy - your best friend, someone you’ve chosen over other friends 12. Qareen - someone who’s inseparable from you. You know how they think (and vice versa) Love your videos man, you're a genuine kid
It makes sense that you can't travel with too many t-shirts. How about as a general rule, every time you leave a city or country, donate three shirts to them and buy three new t-shirts... that way you get to donate used clothes to someone who might need them, and you get to help local stores too.
I'm egyptian and I can't bargain like this. You are good. Number 1 rule I learned when I was in Egypt immediately go down 50% and then work your way from there
24:52 Hi there, Luke, to get rid of the horrible smell from the inside of your shoes, try using some crushed charcoal placed in a small 'open-top' container or pot or a piece of cloth enough to fit in on the inside of your shoes and leave it overnight or just before you settle in for the night. Charcoal effectively removes 80 to 90% of bad smells from the inside of your shoes as it has got a good absorbent properties in removing bad foot smells. The alternative would be some 'used' well-wrung tea bags, put them in a small 'open-top' container or pot enough to fit inside your shoes and leave them overnight while you sleep. On the other hand, why not try wearing Skechers Men's Tresmen Hirano Open Toe Sandals as an example when travelling in very hot countries instead so you've got nothing to worry about bad shoe smells as it allows your feet to breathe while eliminating sweat- the main culprit of bad shoe smells. Also, dont forget to soak your feet in a basin of lukewarm water mixed with half a cup of vinegar or tea tree oil for half an hour then wash it off with running water afterwards, dry it off with a towel whenever you have the chance to give your feet a thorough clean the night before your next trip.

You are very hard man on bargaining, paying a little extra for the product, the man can buy some extra food for his family. Life is very tough in Egypt and else where in the world too. You are from a rich country. You don't have beggars on the street to give charity. But in Islam we have a system of Zakat. Which mean two and a half percent of our wealth goes to poor. We must fulfil this obligation at all times. So our hearts get widened by the grace of Allah. Ameen
i can agree with bargaining for almost everything BUT i will never agree to bargain with a guy who only cleans shoes because that is his only source of income, in my country (South Africa) i will never bargain even if i dont have alot of money because you dont know that persons circumstances at home.

At 30:5 he went to close the tilawat because of adhan. He was so good guy you should give him more money
I really don`t like when some people gives you a good price like 30 pound and you still BARGAINING just for one piece i am sure you pay too much for the hotel but some sellers really deserve more
Mate he was way over charged for every single thing

ياخي هاؤلاء لايمثلون مصر وناسها الطيبين بل يمثلون أنفسهم و هم من يدمر السياحة .
Dont ask how much they bought it for thatz kinda rude. Its business. They had to pay rent and stuffs. Go to the mall instead
6:12 you broke that haha , and you didn’t even pick it back up , you were scared for sure
those guys are having bad times in covid, and may be trying to take prices of 2 pieces in one sale. i feel for them. what can they do? they have families, kids waiting for their income to eat some food, to have education in school, to have medical treatment, etc. i feel for them.
Luke, i wish my life was as wild as you. It's a pretty rough conditions for me to be on around of people
15:56 : Cool and genuine vendor, I like his vibe.
Nah whats wrong with u, why are trying to get for cheaper when its already cheap
Egyptians do sell these cheap toouristy clothes and I think it works for them because I don`t think most people there have the money to buy expensive stuff for every day use. Thanks so much for sharing.
50 min vlog yay 💜
Luke you legend! He took you for a chump and went down from 500 to 110. If any Eygptian locals are reading this, what price would you guys pay?

Especially the scammers
What Bazar is he shopping at? Location?
I want to stop by @ the young man's store with the pens, he is an honest genuine person.
Its weird how it kind of feels like beeing with you there. That, is truly awesome mate!
Damn, how much are clothes in Australia that he feels the need to haggle so much? It's not like he's homeless...
Crazy 🤦
You are very hard man on bargaining, paying a little extra for the product, the man can buy some extra food for his family. Life is very tough in Egypt and else where in the world too. You are from a rich country. You don't have beggars on the street to give charity. But in Islam we have a system of Zakat. Which mean two and a half percent of our wealth goes to poor. We must fulfil this obligation at all times. So our hearts get widened by the grace of Allah. Ameen
Good job luke, ur channels has good content
i can agree with bargaining for almost everything BUT i will never agree to bargain with a guy who only cleans shoes because that is his only source of income, in my country (South Africa) i will never bargain even if i dont have alot of money because you dont know that persons circumstances at home.
As a wholesaler in trinkets, apparel and shoes. Even if you bargain these vendors down to 50%, their profit is still above 100%. Their cost for the gold pen is less than 10 Egyptian pounds. These are low quality products which they collectively buy in bulk
Welcome to Egypt bro ❤️
im going cairo in a few weeks and this was really fun to watch :) thank u great vid! xx
12:03 my respect for walking away from him went down!
