After 3 years I filed for divorce. You have to leave and no contact forever because they become angry and more dangerous. My divorce attorney and judge told me I was lucky to have gotten away alive, just a few fractures and bruises but alive.

His father passed away 17 years ago used to call him out as gay. Always; even after we got married. Even some of his siblings used to call him out as gay. 😳. His mother is a covert narcissist and always negative and complains about everything and triangulated all siblings against each other. Very demonic family. I am glad he moved out two weeks ago and I am awaiting divorce be final. He has cheated since the beginning and is a pathological liar. I am healing and no longer thoughts of suicide. Your teaching helped me to see how I was so duped by my former daughter-in-law who only showed me her false self, later discarding my son and disrespecting me. She hid her true toxic, evil self, bc as a preachers kid, she never felt good enough. You turned on the light bulb for me, how she was able to hide her true self from me for 2&1/2 years. My son saw her true self, but she hid it from me. Narcissists should be called world class actors and actresses who go around duping and deceiving others with their performances of a false self. Thank you for taking the blinders off me so I could see the wool my former daughter-in-law pulled over my eyes. Now that she is divorced from my son, she no longer hides her sick, mean, gas lighting, evil self.
I just wonder with narcissists if they were once themselves and then had someone started telling them who they were was not good enough, which maybe they learnt from a very young age to then be a collection of traits off people, traits that they've copied and people liked and found acceptable.

They can go through periods of low supply and change types of narcissism or get stuck in the middle and not switch from cerebral to somatic but get stuck.and its really strange to see this. This person who liked specific tv shows for years all the sudden there is a change. You feel confused. This is like the twilight zone.

I found out just recently what exactly has been happening to me in my life. I'm 52 now and only found out when I fell seriously ill 2 years ago that my mother is a covert malignant nersissit. I also understand now that I'm the escapegoat child. I know for a fact that she killed my father and did the same to the first golden child because he caused her a serious imbarrassement in front of the family. I'm faily certain of who she is and what she hasdone. My issue is everyone in the family hates me and is convinced that I'm the villan and that she is the victim. They turned back on me and I'm desperate for someone to hear my truth and to believe me. I'm stuck at wanting the truth to come out and to have some family members to stay in touch with me. She can't win them all and stop them from talking to me. Any advice on how can I move forward? Thank you K

Indeed. The authentic self was not ‘allowed’ to develop. Many of these ‘narcissists’ are victims of some level of childhood trauma.
