      Hahaha, and as soon as I finished replacing the timing belt the water pump started leaking. Almost like it was timed that way.... No pun intended.

      I had a leak on the outlet of the oil pump, $4 oring. Decided due to the amount of work, changed timing belt, water pump and with 230k miles replaced the oil pump too. Stupidly after I was all done should have done a valve adjustment. Haha.
      But great vid anyways

      @@5beswee I have a 02 civic with 159000 miles on it... valves were never adjusted, my mechanic friend said not to adjust them, if they've never been adjusted at required mileage intervals... maybe asking for trouble........?????? True or false??

    Be aware: d17 only turn the camshaft and crankshaft together, counterclockwise from the crankshaft. Valves can be damaged from improper sequence turning clockwise. I used crankshaft tool.

    Still waiting for him to put the crank seal in. I never saw it. I had to take my old pump off to do it.

    While fitting back, you have shown the fitting of engine mount bracket twice. One at 45 min and then again on 56 min time line. Please explain wether it was supposed to be fitted after the lower plastic cover or what. Secondly I didn't notice any oil leak from crank seal when you opened it rather the leak seems from oil pan jane.

    Is there any other source for oil leak under the timing belt cover, such as for the oil pump?

  • @paulstahman3533
    @paulstahman3533 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

    I think the gouging of the timing cover could be due to the harmonic balancer needing replacement. The internal rubber goes bad and the part my wobble, hitting cover. The cover could also get gouged if the bolts were loose, or if the mounting tabs on the cover are cracked. Both of those issues could allow the cover flex and hit the balancer.

    This video has multiple errors and shows parts of the process incorrectly in addition to omitting parts of the repair procedure. Review a credible source such as a repair manual to learn correct procedure.

    What a terrible video. Extreme close ups, out of focus, completely blocked view. If you're going to take the time to make the video why not do a better job to show things clearly?

  • @GVGR11B

    Why are you rotating it clockwise.. these engines rotate counterclockwise. Which is the direction they have to rotate when confirming timing..
