Thanks for the video. I installed the OEM keyless entry and alarm on my 97 318is back in 2009. I sold the car ~2015 and for nostalgia here in 2024 wanted to go back and hear the alarm sound and locks clicking open/shut. Very satisfying sound. I think I paid ~$80 for the whole kit back then (module, wiring, alarm, fob, etc.).
That midpipe not saying ageing makes it any better or worse but just for you knowledge brotha. The amount of discoloration and browning of the bw midpipes tells me that’s been installed on someone’s car previously for at least like 5 years if not more 🤔 Lol do you still have it up for grabs ? HAHAHA LOVED YOUR REACTION TO THE OG ALARM CHIRP 😂 that was me couple years ago when I first got mine to work. And the siren in your video is from a car that was made 09/95-1999. You can call it the “obd2” but that’s not true since the late model 95 got all the technical updates and revisions. Door speakers, updated dashboard, lots of little quirks. Unfortunately my m3 was built 04/94 so it got all the bitch parts anything that could have gone wrong went wrong lol. Fyi since you do have the newer style 2 button alarm the siren only worked because it was the correct part number. The siren that came equipped with my early model 3 button alarm is incompatible with the newer 2 button alarm systems. I don’t know why they made things so complicated….

Sick my car came with that but never realized it till now lol
I got one on mine! But the drivers side door lock actuator isn’t closing when using the alarm. So I’m gonna swap it and see if anything happens

Sounds so nice bruh
A must have 👌🏼
Do you have the part number on the siren? Looking to pick one up
Did you ever figure out how to get the hazards to flash when you lock and unlock?
I really don’t think it’s a factory option that’s built into the car. Once I get my M3 back on the ground I’ll look into doing this
There are some writeups online how to do this, using a relay and 2 diodes.
How much for fobs?
Mine stopped working after two weeks of owning the car. It made the sound but never unlocked afterwards. Now it’s not working at all
Probably just need to re calibrate your locks. Possibly the battery in the fob or the module itself
hey bro this can be used also as an alarm i mean car securiry, or its only to lock unlock?
Correct only to unlock/lock. Does have a panic button and glass break sensor
