Question. I just turbo my 98 E36 M3 and my car would not start. It turns out to be because the SAP pump was removed so No power is going to the coils. When the sap pump is plugged in the car starts normally. when I unplug the SAP the car dies instantly. Did you remove your SAP system? Do you have the same issue? Any idea why my SAP system functions that way?
I wish you would talk about the back housing a/r s and differences in sriving characteristics... I have a gtx3576r on a 3.0 , I have a .63 and a .82 , mid build atm. Also, cant wait for the driveshaft/diff work. I need to source a m5 lsd and shafts for my e39 530it build. ( I also own a white 94 e36)
Definitely a video I can make! I have a story of my own to tell with that actually how I had issues with the sizing. I’ll comment here again when I make that video!
Hey, nice build! Question about the bottom mount because I'm considering that for my Z3, did the engine mount get in the way of the turbo plumbing going to the front?
Once you click the turbo properly there’s plenty of room if you use 2.5” piping. If you’re going 3” for the charge pipe that’s going to be a little tight😬
thanks for the video but one thing i was curious was where did you get the oil feed for the turbo and the the water feed and return for the turbo? do you have any problems with ac lines? and the routing of turbo hot side to the intercooler? i've seen a couple way of routing it but it seems like in you car it doesn't run underneath the subframe which would be ideal, have you had any issues with oil temp and needing an oil cooler?
Sorry forgot to include those. The hose for cooling is a silicone hose that you can find here: www.amazon.com/High-Performance-Silicone-Heater-Hose/dp/B082G46V96/ref=asc_df_B082G46V96/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=416905373695&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=2083126208624677437&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=m&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=1015254&hvtargid=pla-870656269894&psc=1&tag=&ref=&adgrpid=90814294741&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvadid=416905373695&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=2083126208624677437&hvqmt=&hvdev=m&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=1015254&hvtargid=pla-870656269894 The oil feed is just a barbed wire with the proper size on Amazon. Under the subframe and over. Under means that the piping will be exposed and will get bent if your car is low but if it’s over the subframe then the piping is protected. I have mine set up over the subframe since my car is very low. So far no issues with oil temps, but the efficiency will definitely be better once I install those! Thank you for reaching out, glad you found the video informative!
I dont know if you mentioned it, but how much boost is it running to make 500hp? I have the same exact setup as you, (bottom mount) pushing 6psi now, csx racing intercooler, and tial wastegate. But im curious to know what is the too range for boost on a stock block.
Hi bless up i have a e36 325i m50 inline 6 engine. I'm thinking about turbo it but i don't have any experience on turboing of car. How can yu help me with advice and maybe a list of wat parts i need the right parts.
To b honest i would love if i can get 400-450 nothing too crazy. I'm willing to spend on good parts so if i spend $1800-2200 I'm kool with that. I also have a spear engine same as in my car
Those kits could go either way, most of the time the turbos blow after a few thousand miles if that, other things that could go wrong is the wastegate and manifold cracking. Although I hear the kit s have gotten better over time
Could you talk about your intercooler piping? At one time you call it "CES intercooler piping". Another time you call it "CS intercooler piping". So which is it? I went on the CES webshop. I dont see anything about any intercooler piping.
It kinda sounds like I said “CS” but when I say “CES” fast it comes out like that. As far as the piping give them a call about it. They usually sell it with their kit but I think it can be sold separately
Awesome, I have my car in Atlanta now getting a TRM stage 2 s52 turbo kit being installed. Can't wait to get it back.
How much was the install? Im in Atlanta too looking to get my m50 on boost finally

Honestly I think I’d rather remove the turbo kit, I want something naturally aspirated again or maybe just a smaller turbo…

Theres no "s52 us version" the s52 is the only north American 3.2 motor found no where else there is a s50b30us, s50b30 and s50b32

Thanks! Yes, Nick G Tune

20 million psi
Did you have to reroute AC lines with this?
No they needed to be bent slightly but otherwise they got pretty good
did you have to relocate the wastegate? or was it just a bolt on?
Welded a tube from manifold down near Downpipe and rerouted it into the exhaust
@@alexkichigin Alright ty
Are you using stock internals?
Yes
