I used to do this in the seventies when I was at college. I couldn't afford haircuts so I did it myself. It was the Perfect way to get that layered look
This looks so beautiful on you, I love how it makes your beautiful silver hair look even more interesting and frames your face just perfectly. I haven't watched Brad's video yet and honestly have no idea who Sabrina Carpenter is. But this is basically the DIY version of the haircut I usually give my brother's girlfriend and she has very thick and naturally curly hair. Your video showcases perfectly that this haircut works on many different hair types and density types. Thank you for trying it out and maybe taking away the fear of trying beautiful layered haircuts from many women with fine hair that isn't super duper dense and thick.
May I make a suggestion? At the 5:00 mark…your hair won’t hold a curl once you’ve straightened it with the blow dryer/brush. I’d just do a light blow dry without brush and then when dry brush it out without heat and then curl it with hot rollers. It will hold curl then. Once you’ve straightened the hair strand with heat, you’ve already taught it to be straight, not curled.
I did the layer part yesterday morning and it looks so good for something that is so easy to do. I'm scared to do the bangs, though😅 you did really well!!
It looks beautiful on you, love your hair. People say that the more you age the more long hair looks tiring on you, but you look so good with your long hair !
@@tressobsessed1 Sorry if my way of talking is a bit clumsy, I'm french so it's complicated to be nuanced, I didn't mean to say you look old, but you know I was talking about grey hair, but ye your hair looks so cool and in good condition
Thank you for this it looks lovely, I did this cut but I was too scared to cut it short to the section I pulled out at the back so it was a bit longer than Brad suggested. I also left out the bangs part which Brad said you can do and I didn’t want that area too short but it still looks good, thanks Brad
❤️ this! I love the style too, how it came out. I love the soft curls & layers on you. And that technique with the curlers is very wow! I have been leaning toward a more vintage u shape - but seeing this… it looks very chic!
I followed Brads video too but was too chicken to do the second ponytail drastic cut lol - watching your tutorial gave me confidence 😂😅😊 thank you for sharing !!! Your hair looks amazing 💕🙌🏻
Very different technique than I tried when I did my own cut previously. I did check out a TH-cam video. This turned out great you look awesome. I'm not wanting layers though. But is that partly cuz you pulled all your hair forward and placed the ponytail at the top front of your head that the layers came out? Subscribed because I want to learn more about doing my hair. But not sure if this would work right for me or not. I've been trying to grow out those side bangs for years so I don't think I would recut them. Probably have to watch it again take catch more details.
You did amazing! Looks beautiful on you! So now.... is there anything you would do different if you were to cut it again like this? I'm seriously thinking about doing this cut tomorrow. Any tips would totally be appreciated ❤
I would definitely cut more off of the back ponytail. As it grew out, it was very mullet like. I had cut less than recommended from the back ponytail because I wanted more length, but I don’t recommend that tactic!
Also, it only looks good with styling. If I just let it air dry, you could really see that it was shorter in the front & long in the back. I probably would not do this haircut again.
I think my hair is way too thin for this one. Even on his very dense haired mannequin it seemed quite thin at the bottom, I’d have absolutely no chance. Yours looks so nice and full!
That’s why I made the back ponytail a bit lower but I would say if your hair is super thin you should probably avoid it, it definitely caused my hair to be a lot less dense (which I like for the summer) but I have a lot of hair even tho it’s thin so can get away with it.
I am thinking of trying it out myself. I have done the butterfly cut and it looks great on me. It's just that I was scared, really scared the first time I did it lol
You did a great job with the fringe but Brad‘s tutorial seems crap. The layers are …well… It’s not your fault, you did everything as he proposed. And your hair structure is awesome!
Really impressed by the way you made this video, straight into it, good editing, clear voiceover - and the cut is wonderful - youre a star!
What a nice thing to say, thank you!
This is probably gonna be the first video we see when he starts the reaction videos to this haircut 😉
Your hair looks gorgeous! And if that’s thin hair, then I have no hair 🥲 you did a great job!
Thank you so much! My hair looked thicker because I had a volumizing mousse in it at the time I cut it.
She has a lot of hair....but it is fine, not thin....i hope this helps...

This is the best self hair cut on youtube! Congrats and you have completely gorgeous hair. Anyone who tells you to cut it short is purely jealous.
Thank u!

Thanks, go for it!
Fantastic! Thanks for the variation of pony placement, to alter the back bottom of the hair. I'll try it that way! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
love the color and the lenght, it suits you perfectly! you're very talented, amazing job
Thank you so much!!
I did this cut too, but only the first cut as I only wanted layers in the back, I don't like short layers around the front.
i tried this haircut too and it went soooo well! it was such a great tutorial
Yay! Glad it worked for you too! I love it!
I’m thoroughly impressed! Great job!!!
Thank you!
You did a decent job cutting it and styling it by yourself. It looks great ! Great video as well not too long and to the point.

Yes pulling the hair forward definitely gave a lot of face framing layers so I would avoid this cut if that’s not what you’re looking for.
@@tressobsessed1thank you I appreciate you answering my question. Good job for your hair though!
Your hair is such a pretty color 🙏 It looks awesome!

You should! I love how much lighter it feels.
It looks so beautiful on you!

I am thinking of trying it out myself. I have done the butterfly cut and it looks great on me. It's just that I was scared, really scared the first time I did it lol
@jdroxford I did the butterfly cut last year and I liked it. I find this very similar. There’s just more significant layering.
I love it! It's beautiful!
Thank you! 😊
Great job; it looks beautiful!❤

You are so gorgeous! 💙
Thanks 😊
Looks like you have naturally wavy hair, those layers would also suit your natural waves quite nicely!
You’re right I do have wavy hair and it looks great when I wear it natural too!
It suits you soooo well
Thanks 😊
Wow, it came it soo great!!!
Thank you so much!!😊
Omg I want it just like yours but I have absolutely no trust in myself but then again if I mess up I can try a bob 😋
I was hesitant too but it turned out well, plus I figured if it was messed up it would grow back eventually anyway 😁
beautiful
It’s pretty good howeverI think your hair would look fuller if it was shoulder length It would likely give it more body.
That’s true however I like it long better, for now anyway!
Nice haircut... what's the name of it?
I followed Brad Mondo’s Sabrina Carpenter Haircut but don’t know if there’s a specific name for it. 🤷♀️
Beautiful.
😊 Thanks

This is such a slaaaay 💅
Thanks 😊
love your hair.....don't layer......are you going to curl it daily ?
😊 I don’t want to damage it so I don’t curl it more than once a week usually.
you are wonderful
