As someone in their early 40’s who was a teen in the 90’s, I miss the days when people (celebrities) looked unique. Everyone looking like a Bratz doll is just so unnerving and honestly, boring. I feel for young people who have grown up with social media and filters- it’s really messing with people’s heads. 😢. This is also not to say that people shouldn’t be able to have procedures if they want, but also tired of celebrities denying or lying about it. It sets very unrealistic expectations for everyday people.
Honestly seeing so many celebrities getting so much work done makes it so tempting to save money to do the same. Us commoners got to appreciate our natural beauty
You said that thing about Sabrina getting work done to look more mature and it made me realize how insane is that celebrities (and just people in general but mostly celebs) spend their youth wanting to look older to the point that they do something permanent like getting plastic surgery, and then when they get into their 30s they get obsessed with wanting to look younger so they get more surgeries to go back to what they look before... It's really an awful cycle.

I agree with what you said about noses. They're precieved larger by camera than by the naked eye. For the longest time I was insecure about my nose being big because it dominated every photo. Now I understand it looks good with my face, just not necessarily to a camera. People tell me I look much prettier irl, I always tell them it's just the nose 😂

For someone with a round bulbus tip or wide alar base or not that sharp of a bridge, their nose will look worse on camera. I wonder if the "done" look is caused her makeup as well. Notice that her makeup used to be very soft and natural. But in the later years, she chose very bold lip colors, cheek colors, etc....I think it's that baked makeup look. Not sure. Anyhow, there's something about surgery that causes one to lose that natural charm. She doesn't quite have that anymore. She's very lucky that she's still recognizable. Hopefully, she doesn't overdo it in the future.
It's interesting that she does such heavy makeup considering the minimal, clean-girl look is more on trend. It gives 2010's aesthetic. It also ages her, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. Young girls these days want to look mature, that's why they remove their buccal fat.
I love that she filled up the buccal fat that was removed! The hollow cheeks sculpted look is of course a huge trend but the fuller cheeks suits Sabrina's face structure so much more and I think it helps make her image more unique in the industry
You can't "fill" removed buccal fat. The fat's not there so there's no place to inject the filler into for it to stay in. This just disapproves the initial accusation of buccal fat removal. The whole controversy with that procedure is that it's currently irreversible.
imo i dont think she got buccal fat removal. she has that buccal fat removal look even when she was younger. and since it was "filled out" later i think it was js how she did her makeup back then

I feel like this channel is so healing. You're so non judgmental and real. I think its important for everyone to see that sometimes surgeries may be minor but they ARE occurring. I have met so many people that are just focused on the day that they're going to have these crazy glow-ups that don't necessarily occur naturally. Studies have shown people don't know what "normal" looks like anymore. It's humbling and healthy to see that celebrities have a little help to make them look so perfect. It's NOT natural to be flawless.

@@mcnoneya the structure of the face doesn’t change much after puberty especially when you don't gain or lose a considerable amount of weight which sabrina hasn't. It could be possible that the cheeks might fill out a little bit but that isn't her case. The angles of her cheeks and the whole outline of her face has changed drastically. This can be seen clearly in the thumbnail of the video. That is only possible with fillers or surgery.
Upper blepharoplasty, 12:39 you can see her eyelids in general are higher and more turned inward creating a foxy eye look with the crease. It was more lower before, not as tilted more straight

@@bennyton2560 I do too, but I think she’s at an age and place in her career where she’s more confident in herself and aesthetic. Whereas Ariana got really cruel critiques about her body in her early 20s, saying she looked 12 and it was creepy when she tried to look sexy. It’s probably better that Sabrina became mainstream now rather than earlier where critiques from larger audience could have affected her a lot more. I also think getting in the headspace that you have to look older to be sexy is just a negative headspace to be in when it comes to your natural looks.

I’m looking at these girls and am just seeing them accelerate aging through surgery. I remember when I was sixteen to eighteen and hated my round cheeks and wanted the chiseled ones that I developed at twenty-three. I’m twenty eight now and I look back on that round faced girl and smile because she was precious. I used to want plastic surgery on my nose so badly, but I have slowly begun to change my mind as I have learned how often it can be temporary and that the cost is not worth the side effects. Self esteem starts inside out, not vice versa. The days you feel happy and beautiful are the ones it really shows.

There are even photos and videos online of her without makeup on but Lorry used photos where in every event she’s had on different make up and hairstyle.

I appreciate this video so much. Sabrina Carpenter is someone that my obsessiveness has focused on a lot lately, simply because I find her incredibly beautiful and charming. While I am working on my insecurity in therapy, it also really helps to see that her natural beauty has been enhanced surgically - she always was and remains stunning, but it's not a level of perfection (that's how *I* perceive it - beauty is in the eye of the beholder and all that) that most women could ever aspire to have naturally. I've seen your videos be criticized as nitpicking women's choices regarding their own bodies (which is particularly absurd considering you're someone who openly admits to having had work done), but it's really just increasing awareness of what we see on our screens, which can really help scale back our expectations for our own looks. Additionally, you're always incredibly tactful and respectful, and tone matters *so* much when discussing such divisive topics. Thank you!
As soon as she got that buccal fat removed.. oof. I thought she was older than she is. This is terrifying all these young celebrities just risking their entire faces like this.. The permanence of it all leaves me very unsettled.
Everyone's looking the sameeee I'm 39 and I miss people looking natural. Every pop star, every movie star. Either they're sculpted and tucked or jacked and implanted. And people starting at 20 or 21 .... madness. Just enjoy your youth. Its only there for a time. Then enjoy your maturing. If you're lucky to see it. I broke my jaw last year and I'm a dental mess with plates in my face and multiple scars. I've had my jaw reset and my whole face is different to me now, and I looked really well before the accident. I'm still getting over the difference and awaiting my dental surgery and I don't know what is going to be recommended yet, and it's scary. I had many people say before that I looker great and a work colleague seriously thought I'd had a face-lift in 2023 which I found hilarious, as I was just healthy and had put a little weight on (I have a super fast motabolism) which I loved. Now, I've had a major change that affected my life, looks, diet, and my mental health quite a bit, and some days are tough. My mouth feels like I have joke teeth in and I have overbite for days, and limitations in my jaw movement forever. But even now I wouldn't get filler or whatever, because I value the natural ageing process even if I feel like I've jumped quick into premature ageing as a result of my accident I don't judge people who tweak this or that: I don't, but it's so prevalent and uniform it's like living in an alternate universe or a B Movie sci-fi comedy sometimes. Like, if you're an actor don't try and be looking like a 90s model a couple of years into your career break, it isn't your look without many tweaks, and you look different bordering on bizarre. Nobody's forehead moves anymore and nobody cares but me, so I guess that's my problem, but it's not actually a problem more an observation. I guess we are all on our own path and have our own limits, and that's fine. But just please next gen, wait til you're older to tweak and by then you'll probably grow out of it And it seems like Pringles, once you pop you can't stop and end up looking like.... Well, you fill that word in yourself.
Finally! Thank you, I noticed these changes but was afraid to express them to other fans who deny them intensely. She edits and retouches her instagram posts quite heavily so that may cause her to look more "plastic" in photos than irl however. I'm a longtime fan and noticed immediately when she started using fillers early on and most recently buccal fat removal. Thank you for doing this :)
She has a classic heart shaped face. At least she didn't totally bob her nose. I love a slightly longer nose with projection on men and women. Only in America do so many women go for that short, squished, snouty look. It leaves them forever with a teen "cheerleader" juvenile nose even as their face ages. She was really beautiful the way she began. Yes her face has a more elegant look now - but NONE of it was needed and it makes her look a decade older than her real age. Before she had anything done, she looked like a young Ivanka Trump. Except that young Ivanka Trump didn't look like Ivanka Trump.
I would disagree that her procedures have made her look more “elegant”? Is that the word you meant to use? Elegant would describe someone’s face who had natural features that are in harmony with each other. Sabrina’s stiff face that has had many procedures isn’t exactly what would be called elegant usually.

I'm from Turkey and I swear that when you get into just a normal public bus you will see high schoolers and university students looking like crazy weird bratz dolls. EVERYONE is getting work done these days which is so dystopian. In 10-20 years, human beings are going to look absolutely insane imo and i think 30 years from now men will also be sucked into this pandemic.
Yeah, Turkey is especially a hot spot for plastic surgery not to just the locals, but even people from foreign countries fly there to get a procedure done for a highly cheap price. There is nothing wrong even if she did get these procedures done but why do videos like these always compare them to when they were a literal teen or kid. Also always with make up on (in this video I mostly saw pics with heavy makeup on her). There are a lot of without makeup pics u can do the comparison with. Imo she looks the same without makeup just that she lost some fat and her baby face. Also I noticed you used her 2018 pics was one of the first time she started doing harsh and heavy makeup, so no doubt her features instantly looked different compared to her younger self. While she also had looks with minimal makeup in the same era where she looked the same to her younger self. (But those pics were not shown in the video) Also 2018 is when she started losing weight and her baby face too.. so that could make a difference.
Also having seen her grow up since her gmw era. I think the heavy makeup and contouring is too contrasting for her, also can be seen in her Eyes wide open mv. So no doubt it makes her features look different. Plus she started losing weight and her baby face after 2018 which also played a part. Her current makeup style is a balance of both of her previous makeup styles. I'll still recommend you to do the same comparison but with her without make up face. (Also keeping in mind the weightloss and lost baby face)

She was stunning then is now, but the issue here is that she’s so young! Her face isn’t even finished evolving yet and she’s already altering herself. She’ll only end up altering it all again as she comes into her grown woman facial features. Filler is so concerning too because it migrates and ends up looking absolutely awful over time. Hopefully, for her sake, this doesn’t end up like a Kylie Jenner thing where she has SO much done at such a young age and ends up looking 45 by the time she’s 27.

When I saw the cover of her latest album, her face seemed so odd to me. Like a plastic doll, with exagerated features and glass eyes. Not my idea of what "beautiful" means. As I get older, I'm relaizing that what I find most beautiful in a woman is solid self esteem, the courage to be authentic and unapologetic self-love. I admire that. These women should be our role models. Doesn't mean a woman shoudn't take care of herself and do her best to look good. It's just that I can't help but think that altering your face so much, at such a young age (or even later) shows a lot of insecurity. The need to look perfect (almost inhuman), the self-absorption, the self-objectification, is a lifestyle that is not healthy in the long term. It harms your mental/physical health and your ability to have successful relationships. Loving and accepting your unique self is the best choice

I honestly don't get this generation's obsession with trying/ wanting to look older??? When i was 24, i looked like a baby. These girls are going to miss those days. Dermal filler at 18....and then over time far too much filler in the mid-face. The rhinoplasty was a mistake. It makes no sense and makes her look older and less friendly. She looked soooo good before, just young 😢
the most baffling of all procedures i find are the rhinoplasties, because to me the thing that needed work the least was her nose, it was proportionate to the rest of her face so i personally don't see why she needed it, if she wanted her nose bridge to appear narrower on camera then wouldn't nose contour suffice?
Maybe I’m blind but I don’t really think that she’s had any work done at all? I think it’s literally just all makeup and hair changes, getting older, and camera angles. She’s always had a very full face. If you watch videos where she doesn’t have makeup on at all she looks way more like her younger self.
On the other hand, all these procedures on people’s bodies help the society accept better people that are with very different body features due to accidents and illnesses.
Tbh, Sabrina's face doesn't look like much has been done to it. Maybe she got her undereyes filled, some lip filler, maybe some modifications to her nose, but not much overall. My face changed SO MUCH naturally after hitting puberty. I went from looking entirely like my dad to getting some of my mom's features. My eyes even got lighter, my hair became curly, and with some weight loss, my jaw started looking pointier and my cheeks sunk in a teensy bit.
This happened to me too! I look way more like my mom now (thank goodness). Even my nose shape changed and it went from looking like my dads to looking more like my moms. My eyes got lighter too, and my hair more red. Idk I don’t see much work done on her if at all. She’s always had a very full face. I think it’s literally just her makeup and hair, if you watch videos where she doesn’t have makeup on she looks so much like her younger self.

The only reason plastic surgery has such a negative connotation to it is because of all the celebrities that deny it and make it seem like a shameful thing to get.

As someone in their early 40’s who was a teen in the 90’s, I miss the days when people (celebrities) looked unique. Everyone looking like a Bratz doll is just so unnerving and honestly, boring. I feel for young people who have grown up with social media and filters- it’s really messing with people’s heads. 😢. This is also not to say that people shouldn’t be able to have procedures if they want, but also tired of celebrities denying or lying about it. It sets very unrealistic expectations for everyday people.
Honestly seeing so many celebrities getting so much work done makes it so tempting to save money to do the same. Us commoners got to appreciate our natural beauty

The more of these I see the more I think all of these procedures done on young people are just ageing them prematurely and not really doing anything complimentary for them. All of them end up looking 10+ years older than they are. I can't believe these photos of her in her late teens and early 20s already looking easily 30.

I agree with what you said about noses. They're precieved larger by camera than by the naked eye. For the longest time I was insecure about my nose being big because it dominated every photo. I wonder if the "done" look is caused her makeup as well. Notice that her makeup used to be very soft and natural. But in the later years, she chose very bold lip colors, cheek colors, etc....I think it's that baked makeup look. Not sure. Anyhow, there's something about surgery that causes one to lose that natural charm. She doesn't quite have that anymore. She's very lucky that she's still recognizable. It's interesting that she does such heavy makeup considering the minimal, clean-girl look is more on trend. It gives 2010's aesthetic. It also ages her, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. Young girls these days want to look mature, that's why they remove their buccal fat.

I love that she filled up the buccal fat that was removed! The hollow cheeks sculpted look is of course a huge trend but the fuller cheeks suits Sabrina's face structure so much more and I think it helps make her image more unique in the industry
You can't "fill" removed buccal fat. The fat's not there so there's no place to inject the filler into for it to stay in. This just disapproves the initial accusation of buccal fat removal. The whole controversy with that procedure is that it's currently irreversible.

I have met so many people that are just focused on the day that they're going to have these crazy glow-ups that don't necessarily occur naturally.

@@mcnoneya the structure of the face doesn’t change much after puberty especially when you don't gain or lose a considerable amount of weight which sabrina hasn't.
It could be possible that the cheeks might fill out a little bit but that isn't her case. The angles of her cheeks and the whole outline of her face has changed drastically. This can be seen clearly in the thumbnail of the video. That is only possible with fillers or surgery.

Whereas Ariana got really cruel critiques about her body in her early 20s, saying she looked 12 and it was creepy when she tried to look sexy. It’s probably better that Sabrina became mainstream now rather than earlier where critiques from larger audience could have affected her a lot more. I also think getting in the headspace that you have to look older to be sexy is just a negative headspace to be in when it comes to your natural looks.

I’m looking at these girls and am just seeing them accelerate aging through surgery. I remember when I was sixteen to eighteen and hated my round cheeks and wanted the chiseled ones that I developed at twenty-three. I’m twenty eight now and I look back on that round faced girl and smile because she was precious. I used to want plastic surgery on my nose so badly, but I have slowly begun to change my mind as I have learned how often it can be temporary and that the cost is not worth the side effects. Self esteem starts inside out, not vice versa. The days you feel happy and beautiful are the ones it really shows.

There are even photos and videos online of her without makeup on but Lorry used photos where in every event she’s had on different make up and hairstyle.

I appreciate this video so much. Sabrina Carpenter is someone that my obsessiveness has focused on a lot lately, simply because I find her incredibly beautiful and charming. While I am working on my insecurity in therapy, it also really helps to see that her natural beauty has been enhanced surgically - she always was and remains stunning, but it's not a level of perfection (that's how *I* perceive it - beauty is in the eye of the beholder and all that) that most women could ever aspire to have naturally.
I've seen your videos be criticized as nitpicking women's choices regarding their own bodies (which is particularly absurd considering you're someone who openly admits to having had work done), but it's really just increasing awareness of what we see on our screens, which can really help scale back our expectations for our own looks. Additionally, you're always incredibly tactful and respectful, and tone matters *so* much when discussing such divisive topics. Thank you!

I broke my jaw last year and I'm a dental mess with plates in my face and multiple scars. I've had my jaw reset and my whole face is different to me now, and I looked really well before the accident.
I'm still getting over the difference and awaiting my dental surgery and I don't know what is going to be recommended yet, and it's scary.
I had many people say before that I looker great and a work colleague seriously thought I'd had a face-lift in 2023 which I found hilarious, as I was just healthy and had put a little weight on (I have a super fast motabolism) which I loved.
Now, I've had a major change that affected my life, looks, diet, and my mental health quite a bit, and some days are tough.
My mouth feels like I have joke teeth in and I have overbite for days, and limitations in my jaw movement forever.
But even now I wouldn't get filler or whatever, because I value the natural ageing process even if I feel like I've jumped quick into premature ageing as a result of my accident
I don't judge people who tweak this or that: I don't, but it's so prevalent and uniform it's like living in an alternate universe or a B Movie sci-fi comedy sometimes.
Like, if you're an actor don't try and be looking like a 90s model a couple of years into your career break, it isn't your look without many tweaks, and you look different bordering on bizarre.
Nobody's forehead moves anymore and nobody cares but me, so I guess that's my problem, but it's not actually a problem more an observation.

She edits and retouches her instagram posts quite heavily so that may cause her to look more "plastic" in photos than irl however. I'm a longtime fan and noticed immediately when she started using fillers early on and most recently buccal fat removal. Thank you for doing this :)

She has a classic heart shaped face. At least she didn't totally bob her nose. I love a slightly longer nose with projection on men and women. Only in America do so many women go for that short, squished, snouty look. It leaves them forever with a teen "cheerleader" juvenile nose even as their face ages. I would disagree that her procedures have made her look more “elegant”? Is that the word you meant to use? Elegant would describe someone’s face who had natural features that are in harmony with each other. I feel like I’m the only one who finds her face kind of scary sometimes? The combination of the stiff plump skin and the face and her dramatic makeup makes her face look like a purge mask sometimes. I could completely be missing it but I’m not seeing any changes to her nose. Usually I find that’s the most obvious change. From the side she still has a very prominent hump and her front profile doesn’t look to have changed at all.

guys it's not even just the celebs getting work done. I'm from Turkey and I swear that when you get into just a normal public bus you will see high schoolers and university students looking like crazy weird bratz dolls. EVERYONE is getting work done these days which is so dystopian. In 10-20 years, human beings are going to look absolutely insane imo and i think 30 years from now men will also be sucked into this pandemic.
Yeah, Turkey is especially a hot spot for plastic surgery not to just the locals, but even people from foreign countries fly there to get a procedure done for a highly cheap price. It's probably the pressure to conform to being a more European than Asian country and to look more "white" becasue of that.

There is nothing wrong even if she did get these procedures done but why do videos like these always compare them to when they were a literal teen or kid. Also always with make up on (in this video I mostly saw pics with heavy makeup on her). There are a lot of without makeup pics u can do the comparison with. Imo she looks the same without makeup just that she lost some fat and her baby face.
Also I noticed you used her 2018 pics was one of the first time she started doing harsh and heavy makeup, so no doubt her features instantly looked different compared to her younger self. While she also had looks with minimal makeup in the same era where she looked the same to her younger self. (But those pics were not shown in the video)
Also 2018 is when she started losing weight and her baby face too.. so that could make a difference.
Also having seen her grow up since her gmw era. I think the heavy makeup and contouring is too contrasting for her, also can be seen in her Eyes wide open mv. So no doubt it makes her features look different. Plus she started losing weight and her baby face after 2018 which also played a part.
Her current makeup style is a balance of both of her previous makeup styles. I'll still recommend you to do the same comparison but with her without make up face. (Also keeping in mind the weightloss and lost baby face)

I love too how she's kept her natural smile. I like that it's not 100% perfect maybe from the perspective of an orthodontist. But to me, I like teeth to have character, and her smile is beautiful and perfect the way it is.

She was stunning then is now, but the issue here is that she’s so young! Her face isn’t even finished evolving yet and she’s already altering herself. She’ll only end up altering it all again as she comes into her grown woman facial features. Filler is so concerning too because it migrates and ends up looking absolutely awful over time. Hopefully, for her sake, this doesn’t end up like a Kylie Jenner thing where she has SO much done at such a young age and ends up looking 45 by the time she’s 27.

When I saw the cover of her latest album, her face seemed so odd to me. Like a plastic doll, with exagerated features and glass eyes. Not my idea of what "beautiful" means. As I get older, I'm relaizing that what I find most beautiful in a woman is solid self esteem, the courage to be authentic and unapologetic self-love. I admire that. These women should be our role models. Doesn't mean a woman shoudn't take care of herself and do her best to look good. It's just that I can't help but think that altering your face so much, at such a young age (or even later) shows a lot of insecurity. The need to look perfect (almost inhuman), the self-absorption, the self-objectification, is a lifestyle that is not healthy in the long term. It harms your mental/physical health and your ability to have successful relationships. Loving and accepting your unique self is the best choice

the most baffling of all procedures i find are the rhinoplasties, because to me the thing that needed work the least was her nose, it was proportionate to the rest of her face so i personally don't see why she needed it, if she wanted her nose bridge to appear narrower on camera then wouldn't nose contour suffice?

She’s always had a very full face. If you watch videos where she doesn’t have makeup on at all she looks way more like her younger self.

Tbh, Sabrina's face doesn't look like much has been done to it. Maybe she got her undereyes filled, some lip filler, maybe some modifications to her nose, but not much overall. My face changed SO MUCH naturally after hitting puberty. I went from looking entirely like my dad to getting some of my mom's features. My eyes even got lighter, my hair became curly, and with some weight loss, my jaw started looking pointier and my cheeks sunk in a teensy bit.
This happened to me too! I look way more like my mom now (thank goodness). Even my nose shape changed and it went from looking like my dads to looking more like my moms. My eyes got lighter too, and my hair more red.

I feel like plastic surgery was supposed to be used to enhance features, like what Sabrina did. She has remained pretty true to her natural face and beauty. The only reason plastic surgery has such a negative connotation to it is because of all the celebrities that deny it and make it seem like a shameful thing to get.

I only heard about Sabrina this year, cause i am from Europe and we don't really follow most US local celebs, but when i saw her i thought she was around 30. She is 24? Thanks for doing this, even if she havent had these procedures, you are still pointing out what makes her look different, its hard for us normal people to tell. She still looks like herself to me, so its hard to see what she has had done, all I can tell is that she looks better for some reason. Although it is sad to see them do so much to their faces.
