    This time I shot and edited the video a bit different. Very few parts have been cut so the cooking is mostly "warts and all". Please let me know if you think this is a better way to shoot my videos or the more concentrated format I usually do is a better option.

    Another thought, with all of the new dried meals, high tech stoves and cook pots the Trangia is still very relevant.

      I'll second that, can't seeing it going out of style any time soon.

    I enjoy this style of living and enjoyed watching this cook. Trangia is my main method for cooking as of recently.

    Excellent. That meal is a great way to showcase the storm cooker.
    You definitely need to be agile to cook outdoor. 😊

      Thank you! A bit of practice in the kitchen doesn't hurt but this one is easy to pull of. Cheers!

    Gotta love a tasty, hot meal in the out of doors on a blustery day. And what better way in that weather than the Trangia. Thanks for sharing.

      Yep, it's definitely my go to gear when the weather is acting up. Take care!

    Great stuff. The Trangia and a just so flexible if on the heavy side. Look forward to the next one as always!

      Thank you Steve, glad you enjoyed it. Sometimes a bit heavy isn't all bad, some of the ultra light would probably go all Mary Poppins and end up in the next county when the winds are picking up. Until the next time!

    I enjoy your lack of fuss! You just get out and enjoy the trip / meal. Fantastic videos. Warts and all is always better. Regards

      Thank you for your kind words Luke. I think I will continue with the warts a bit more and see what reactions I get. Cheers!

    Great video.
    Just shows hiking does not need to be boiling water and rehydrating ramen or pasta
    Red swede philosophy: no coffee = no happy :)

    • @RedswedeOutdoors
      @RedswedeOutdoors  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I have nothing against dehydrated food in the right context, but it's more enjoyable to take things up a notch. As for the coffee, I can cope if I forget the coffee at home on a dayhike but if I forget it on an overnighter there's a strong possibility I'll cut it short...

    Delicious meal, good appetit :) The only thing I've noticed that whatever you are burning burns too yellow and produces too much soot. If this is not your preference, I can suggest using clean odorless and colorless denaturated ethanol which burns pretty invisible which doesn't produce any soot. It burns clean like a propane or butane stove.

    • @RedswedeOutdoors
      @RedswedeOutdoors  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Thank you. I mainly use methylated spirits for my Trangia since it's avalible everywhere and much cheaper than the alternatives, at least over here. Soot that can be wiped off with a paper tissue isn't much of a bother to me since I'm used to campfires with conierous wood, that will do a number on your cooking gear. Cheers!

    Yummy! You could try using roasted buckwheat kasha with onions and mushrooms in place of the quinoa to do something different. Sausage meat with different flavors would be something else to try. Darn it! Middle of the night here and I want to use my Storm Cooker! Darn you, RedSwede! 😉🤣😈

      Sorry, (not sorry), maybe I should have a warning label on my thumbnail. "Might induce cravings"... Thanks for the tip on buckwheat, it looks very filling and should be a crowd pleaser at the campfire after a long day. Cheers!

    At 8:21, for a nanosecond the word INVALID flashes on the screen. I'm curious as to what caused that.

    • @RedswedeOutdoors
      @RedswedeOutdoors  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I hadn't realized that before so I checked the original video and it shows there too... Im' not sure what causes it but it's probably something I've done while editing that the program didn't agree with. It's not between two clips so I'm at a loss of the cause. It's not a TH-cam thing in any case. Cheers!

    Dinner looks very good. Not sure what you atjar?? Sauce is. A DEAD CAT?????? ON YOUR MICROPHONE??!! WT?

    • @RedswedeOutdoors
      @RedswedeOutdoors  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Ajvar Relish is a sauce made of red bell pepper, aubergine and spices, really good and can be used both warm and cold in many dishes.
      Without the dead cat you wouldn't hear any talking on this video, it's a must-have! Cheers!

    It sounds better in Swedish “det finns inget dåligt...” it’s always fun to hear those expressions in English. It’s almost sounds like those comical ones from Nile City 105,6, “Den som gapar efter galen fågel ser oftast inte skogen för alla ben” 😂

    • @RedswedeOutdoors
      @RedswedeOutdoors  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes that is true. Most proverbs and expressions are losing the rythm when you translate them, and quite a lot of them makes no sense at all. A friend at work comes from Australia and she is totally flabbergasted at some swedish expressions, e.g. "Vara på kanelen" - "Being on the cinnamon" is ludicrous in english but in Sweden it's a common way to say that someone is tipsy or drunk.
