    So i tried it on my stream it works with BUTs.
    1) Each time you change a game or application you stream on Gaming PC - audio desync 1-5 sec appears? you need to kill obs on gaming pc and restart it to sync audio to normal.
    2) Using NDi streaming dramaticly raises CPU usage. I didnt see Gaming PCs CPU load but i saw that my Streaming PC is not able to encode 3 streams with NDI. I i had to stop i of the platforms stream or i was lagging everywhere. Using a cheapo capture card i can do 3 streams on Ryzen 5600G and it is loaded 60% in peaks. with NDI its 100% all the time and frame skips and lags are terrible. So im back to Capture card method. Its better, its less hasle. But thanks for the video. It was interesning.

    • @aranhawaii
      @aranhawaii  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      As long as they can detect each other on a mutual network, it will work. A LAN connection isn't the same as an internet connection. Basically, connect the two computers with a router. Whether the router has internet or not, does not matter. And if your router has the ability to assign different ISP's to different devices, that should do the trick. It takes more setup, because you have to learn how to get the right router and assign devices to different WANs, but it should work.

  • @aaaboyyy4309
    @aaaboyyy4309 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    I'm going to test this out. I'm sure i'll know the answer soon, but my hunch is NDI has less delay than rtmp. Currently I just rtmp to the other computer so I can record 60fps at any bitrate with no frame drops. Good tips. I'm keep browsing your channel. How would you stream your phone using cellular data to your channel? Curious how you would implement this. My first thought was, use something like Larix Broadcaster to a secondary service like youtube, and then restream youtube to your local server, and then uplink to your channel. Seems like there is a less clunky way. Thoughts?

    • @aranhawaii
      @aranhawaii  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      For the first part, it's certainly faster to use NDI than RTMP your one PC out to the other. For the second question, you can use a program like Miracast Screen Mirroring to capture your phone's screen in OBS over wifi or bluetooth. GL!

    I went through all comments for a hiccup I am experiencing. The network connection on both my laptops is connected symmetrically as if part of same server. (but actually everything is two different computers only) On both laptops the copy-paste and the NDI-3.8 took place yet the NDI under tools and also in the sources of OBS is showing only on one laptop.
    For the sake of my own patience, I uninstalled everything installed related to this instance and reinstalled OBS and NDI. But still it is not showing on one laptop.
