I do power wash but I keep back some to not blast it into the electrical wires too much. Remember when you ride in the rain the water gets up in there so it does get wet anyway. Thanks for watching......JB
Any backrest would be aftermarket on these bikes. The ultimate backrest slides down into the seat and ball bearing catches the detent on the backrest bar. There are a lot of similar seats out there but I don’t know if they would be exactly the same , I wouldn’t take the chance myself. I’ve had this seat two full seasons now and it is becoming more comfortable ever time I ride. I did the 500 mile in 12 hour challenge this year and would have been good for twice that I’m sure. It is slow to break in but it was better right out of the box. Thanks for watching my video, I hope it was helpful....
I’m having knee & hip issues, thinking about buying a king seat to extend my legs a little. Has your seat helped with your knees & hips at all that you’ve noticed? Randy
I never noticed any issues before with legs - just helped with sore butt mainly - backrest is a must and try keeping back as verticle as possible it helps for everything
I don’t have passenger armrests on my bike but I can say visibly there is no difference to the stock backrest except it tilts the passenger in a more vertical position. I’m sure the armrests would be fine.. check on ultimate website fore pictures that have armrests. Thanks for watching my videos.........JB..
Rear section was very similar to stock but has less lean back to keep passenger seated more vertical , seat was good for about 5 hours once break in period was finished Thanks for watching and for the the comments.........JB..
@@Jarvisbiker is there any needed cuts or fabrication or str8 bolt on ? no extra hardware, thanks! i hope 2find these used out there somewhere, but then again who wld give it up, if theyre keepin the bike.lol

Sounds like a great seat Wayne ! I may have to get an older GW as a tractor just to haul the pop up camper. Thanks for sharing buddy.
it was a great seat
What years is your GW? I have the same exact color bike. I just bought it, love it. My first GW. Minie is an 05 with 40 k on it
Mine was an 05 also it had 135000 miles when I traded it in. Old guy bought it and he visits every once in a while so I get to see it still.
@@Jarvisbiker these things are bulletproof.
@@markbarrett4482 yes they are great bikes for sure.
Jarvisbiker: how do you keep under the seat clean? Is it safe to hose off or power wash? NY Mike.

Would you be able to use the backrest off the stock seat

Do you have to send in your old seat to Ultimate to build on?
No its totally new - i keep mine in the box just in case i ever sell the bike i can swap it back and keep the seat.
Can I still use the stock armrest?

Tried it. Didn't like it. That was a $110.00 experiment that ended badly.
What didn't you like about the seat ?
