TRAGIC ACCIDENT! Boy Of 12 Years Of Age, Killed At Picture House in Bradford.

- This is our 100th video and we dedicate this upload to a tragic event that happened at East Parade in Bradford.
Although this video was filmed on a very windy and rainy day, it was a poignant reminder of what happened to Bradford community on 1st January 1916.
The winds must have been 100 times worse that lead to a tragic death at a local picture house.
Follow the story as Mark Nicholson unfolds the events from the location where the tragic accident happened to the site of the victims grave.

You really are following my life locations. When in primary school at St Marys in the 70s I took part in a play for the old people in that hall. I had to sing a song with another girl to entertain the old folks of the parish at their annual Christmas party. It was so traumatic I have the song imprinted in my brain even now 🤣. The hall itself I found very spooky and because we had lots of rehearsals there would often be only a few of us in the hall at any given time. Now I understand why it felt so eerie, that poor little boys spirit was probably following us around the stage. It smelt awful too. I can still remember how it smelt. Another personal link to your vlog is I have eight members of my family buried near that little boy. I am so glad I didn’t know the story of this child when rehearsing for the play it was uncomfortable being in that place without being aware a death had occurred as it was. There was one area of the hall I felt more uncomfortable in than the rest and that was the right hand steps leading to the stage. The stage was at the far end of the hall. It was closed in and not visible to the audience. Unfortunately thats where I had to be mostly when we were practising. Thank you for sharing yet another unknown story from the places I grew up in. Tragic but very interesting. Well done for braving the weather to tell the story too 😀
