    I've seen this great design before, but never got to hear it playing, I know hearing a recording of it it's different than live but I bought all my previous boxes only after hearing something

      Yeh totally understand as hearing it first is key for audio! - fun kits either way but the sound is good. I did more sound tests in my first ever video for comparison. Thanks for watching!

    I would like to know how you got from the Idea to the first sale

    • @jcracoustics
      @jcracoustics  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      My "how to make money 3-D printing" probably covers this off best but essentially I made a website and started social media accounts for the speakers. The initial sales, as they often are when you start your first business, were primarily friends and family who then also shared the profiles on their social media. After that it's a case of slowly building a following and expanding. Hope this helps!

    What kind of slide switch was implemented? I'm trying to select one my self for my own design but want to make sure it can handle the currents exhibited.

    • @jcracoustics
      @jcracoustics  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It was a 50V, 0.5A SPDT switch with a 6mm handle. More than enough for the power involved!

    Very nice build, how tick is your enclosure and how does it sound compared to other speakers or wooden speakers? The plastic seems to sound hollow

    • @jcracoustics
      @jcracoustics  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The key is a good seal so there's no air leaking. I play certain frequencies at full volume to check for the seal. If it's airtight then the audio quality is great

      @@jcracoustics ok, again nice build. This made me think of buying a 3d printer but first watching some tutorial video's ;) it seems difficult and easy at the same time

    A 3 mm jack for aux could have been really great! a higher sound volume and more battery efficiency

    • @jcracoustics
      @jcracoustics  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      True but aux is really fizzling out. No new phones have them anymore and equally sound volume would be the same with modern Bluetooth pre-amps. Bluetooth is also really power efficient these days.

    Very clever design. I want to build something similar. The only thing keeping me back is that i cannot find information about cabinet volume for specific frequency response and what to have in mind. I don't want to stick drivers and passive radiators in a box randomly and hope for the best not knowing these things beforehand. Can you direct me to a site with all the info needed wrapped up in one page? Thanks

    • @jcracoustics
      @jcracoustics  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for the comment! I'm afraid there's no easy cheat sheet but generally the manufacturer gives you details which can be used in free software WinISD so you can design your enclosure to have the right volume. I would recommend starting with a TH-cam WinISD tutorial and that will get you going in the right direction.

    Hello Mr.Jcr hope you are good? I am Kennedy from Kampala,Uganda. And would love to venture into the 3d printing business and would want to start with making speakers for sale. I would love to know the weight in grams of the speaker enclosure for the design you using and maybe advise me more on the printer to get for start up and the best cheaper filament to use for many prints, I was opting to start with a Bambu lab p1p. Very nice build that you made gladly waiting on your reply, is their any way I can contact you? Thank you.

    • @jcracoustics
      @jcracoustics  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey, I can’t recall exactly but I think boxed the weight was 450g so maybe 375 or something like that. I would suggest you watch my latest 3-D printing business video as that will answer a lot of your questions. Thanks for watching and best of luck with your business!

    China uses plastic...
    But 3d print doesn't not sound good
    Because small speakers depend on case resonance..
    Chinese have some machine to tune to give best bass
