Tiffani! You look and sound like you are feeling so much better! Yay! Love the chip 'n Dip! She is so creative. Love the Ink Spot on white pieces! Very nice kiln opening. Thank you!😊 much success with your sale!❤
Really warms my heart to see you back in the studio and on your way to mending that shoulder. There are so many wonderful pieces in these last two Kiln openings. I adore your daughters’ new TH-cam channel. What an incredible talent and sense of humor. Hope you have a very lucrative studio sale! -Liana
Those calico cats are adorable! And Mikki's mugs are great! Love the inkspot over cream. Great kiln load. Congrats on no fails! LOL. Glad the lid came off, and SUPER glad you're feeling better!
Beautifull kiln unloads 👏 Gorgeous ceramic Tiffany. The butter dishes and candy jar are so awesome with those colours.... wow❤ The most wonderful for me? are Mikky's saucers with the gravestones. Absolutely pitty and awesome eyecatchers 😮 Succes with your sale Love Sheila ♡
So many cute things in part 1 & 2. I really love all the different ghost pieces. If you are making more cats, I’d love to see how a gray kitty would look ❤
So pleased you are feeling more like you, than you have in time to long ago to think about, your almost there and I and others have followed you in the ups and downs and we're hanging on in there and we can all see light at the end of the tunnel. These kiln unloads are amazing the Halloween theme has taken over and I'm really enjoying it, good luck on the weekend sale, hope to hear all about it x❤🎉😊
I absolutely LOVE these kiln openings!!!!! You seem to be back to your old self. YAY!!!!! On another note. Seagrove is one of my very favorite places!!! One of my very favorite mugs came from a pottery in Seagrove! ❤ It is south of Greensboro and north east of Charlotte in the middle of the state. The town north of Seagrove is Ashboro, not Ashville. I am pretty sure they didn't have the massive flooding that the western part of the state had. I can't find any weather related issues regarding Seagrove. I have been there a couple times many years ago and went to so many of the wonderful potteries around there. My mother lived near Pittsboro, NC for many years. NC has a very special place in my heart. It is such a horrible thing that has happened there. Please keep all those in that area in your prayers. There are still a lot of people that are still stranded in the mountains with no food or water. And so many that have lost their lives.❤🙏
@lorit5074 That's good to hear. Matthew Kelly did put up a video last night, so at least he's okay. I'd love to visit Seagrove someday. It's on my list of pottery places of must-see.
I shake my head about a spooktacular but I'm watching. Watching potters just like ourselves can be boring, can't learn as much and I do like my Mexican skulls. Your students are amazing you must be proud.
@@pottersjournal Sooo proud. It's interesting that you said watching potters, I love your sliptrailing! Those plates in your last kiln opening had me drooling!
Thank you, Tiffany. Im a Burnsville NC potter. Our area was devastated, too. Yancey county has more artists per capita than anywhere else in the world. Im told, My studio of the last 15 years has water damage...i havent been able to get to it yet to see how much damage. I do know the building is still there. For all of us potters here, it's our big money making season. Even if our physical studios made it, many of our shows are canceling, we personally lost 2, maybe 3 of the galleries we sold thru. RI ght now, there's no way to know if any of this season will be salvageable. The thing that really matters....My family is all well. We all made it through unharmed. We will be back making as soon as we possibly can.
Love the little cat dishes and the butter dishes. Have you considered the engobes from Mayco for the butter lids? Just for the rim part that touches the kiln shelf.
@bevodaniel3384 Yes, I thought about it as I was glazing. But I could do anything about it as it was close to midnight. I'll be making more and hope to give the black engobe a try. 😀
Great kiln opening! Such adorable stuff!! Are the bottoms of the fortune cookies unglazed? Or underglazes? Please let us know if you find out how Matthew Kelly is. I've been worried about him ever since Helene happened. I've been drinking out of my MK mugs all week.
How many coats of Dutch Sprinkle do you use? I did some ornaments with underglaze wiped back with 2 x Dutch Sprinkle on top and then did the back with Dutch Sprinkle. It ran a lot. It didn't drip on the shelf, but really ran. It was a commision and I can't sell them.
I wonder if organizations like NCECCA would set up a go fund me account for the rest of us to donate? It is so sad to hear about the devastation on the other coast. I can’t imagine loosing everything. 😢🙏🏻
