I agree that starting out a two button pedal would have been easier (especially when stopping to for a chorus/bridge) but after using the RC-1 for a while it became easier as most things do with practice. Loved the video Sean, you're always funny and make the videos fun.
Thank you, Sean! Literally, just bought my first looping pedal 3 weeks ago. Enjoying it a lot so far. Really appreciate your videos, helping me a lot to develop this skill. Please, keep it up!
Thanks for this video. I just purchased a looper pedal and was searching for ideas on how and what to use it. I should have bought one with a drum beat. It’s my first and only pedal for this newb. Thanks 🙏🏻 again. 😊
Hey Sean, great video! My uncle also stopped sending me birthday presents a couple of years back and I’m 27, he thinks a fist bump once in a blue moon is acceptable and I for one say screw that guy he’s a cheap skate and does not deserve my blood coursing through his veins. I’d really like to see a video on all the different options you can overlay chords with when using a looper pedal and how it may lead to more interesting progressions when writing your own music. PS. I’m just starting out teaching guitar to beginners now and your videos help me so much for planning lessons out so thank you so much.
UR LUCKY I CAME FROM A FAMILY OF 7 AND ALL MY UNCLES NEVER LEFTED A FINGER TO HELP US WHEN WE WERE STARVING AND THEY WERE WHITE COLLAR WITH LOTS OF MONEY
GREAT VIDEO SEAN ! I'VE HAD MY LOOPER 4 A YEAR OR 2 BUT I NEVER HAVE TRIED IT OUT THIS TUT GIVES ME THE COURAGE TO DIG IN. I LIKED THAT PIC IN PIC, WISH ALL OF UR VIDEO HAD THEM, U ALSO TOUCHED ON BENDS AND DOUBLE STOPS SOUNDED COOL AND YOU JUMPED INTO THAT JAZZ VERY COOLEY "YEAH MY TWEET MY WORDS" THANKS AGAIN NOW ITS UP TO ME TO GET ON THE BALL AND TAKE THAT FIRST STEP
Hey, Sean, been watching your videos for more than 2 years. This one is by far my favorite! Practical, fun, and easy to understand-more, please. Love your opening jokes as well. Thanks a bunch! I’m looping tomorrow (insert your own punch line.)
I just bought one of these and I could t get it to do nothing lol I was hitting the first button to start and stop lol man thanks for the awesome video!! This video is why I bought one!!! Appreciate you my brother!!
Sean, I've been waiting for this video and have not even known it. The simple strategy of leaving space has made a huge difference and given me a breakthrough in my progression. Please post some looper pedal exercises. Thank you for all of your great content!
Very good video on how to start. I didn't know this particular pedal existed but it seems pretty cool. I just ordered my first looper, one of those cheap Chinese ones, a Lekato, it seems to be OK. I like that it also has this loop light to guide you on the loop's length. I think, especially for beginners like me, it's very handy to remember when the loop starts. Maybe in the future I'll buy this Donner one. The second switch, as you said, is also very handy and the drum rhythms is a great plus. And it still has the loops lights! I have seen some advanced/expensive looper pedals without that loop light, probably advanced players who already are good with timing don't mind, but I would :) Great video again. Thanks!
Love my looper ... and when I crank up the amp with 6-7 layers going.. so do the neighbours 😉. Seriously though,, they are lot of fun. Thanks for the vid
Lovin' Donner. Canadians...a heads up - check the Canadian Donner inventory prior to purchase otherwise your backorder could sit for a long while. Their website Canadian inventory may not be correct so check with their customer service first.
Very helpful! :) Ashamed to say I haven't used my looper pedal in months, I find it really tricky getting the timing right. I really need to get back into it!
No! I have this looper and it super easy. You have to press the button on the middle and sync the loops Not only will they then play together, but it also makes it’s non-issue to stop the loop in the exactly right moment to be in time. It will automatically be “quantized” and be in time
Might be a while before I go looping, but good to be ready for it if I get round to it one day, so thanks. You might enjoy the lyrics of the latest *Guided by Voices* (as well as the song, of course). *Dance of Gurus* (is not really about gurus at all - more like contemporary realities) th-cam.com/video/VC-0pQZ9VtA/w-d-xo.html (I could also mention that Iron Maiden is back, but you've probably heard that already?)
I bought a twin Rowin Looper. $63 bucks. It didn't work with my windows 10 PC. They didn't respond when I asked for help. eBay got my money back. Tried to trash the software and the squirrel got inside my PC and won't get out. I'll look into the Donner again.
I feel like looper pedals are kind of obsolete now, unless you're one of those musicians that does live looping performances. Most of us use DAW's that do the samething and are a lot easier to use.
Love the looper stuff. Just got one myself. Really helps in improving timing. Keep the looper lessons coming!
Nice to see you going back to your roots, I study with you all the time. I bought a Boss dual a few years ago and have yet to use it.
I have just bought this looper and found your tips really useful for getting started.Thanks.

Great basic way to solo over chords.
I got looping down after some practice. I really appreciate this video tho good sir. You do a swell job of explaining it.
So great to hear! I'll have a new looping vid coming soon!
Thank you, Sean! Literally, just bought my first looping pedal 3 weeks ago. Enjoying it a lot so far. Really appreciate your videos, helping me a lot to develop this skill. Please, keep it up!
Thanks for the tutorial! I just got that Donner looper a couple of weeks ago, and this is very helpful! Cheers!!!
Congrats!
Can always use more looper exercises! Also the second example had the makings of In The Air Tonight, I kept waiting for the drum breakdown 😁
...hold on...
They say you're never too old to learn and you showed me a new path. thanks, I'll be back. you have a nice touch.
Super valuable.

Another lesson showing more looper use for scales/chord/development/etc. would be great. Thanks for this lesson.
Super good instructions for starting to loop. Thanks.
Thank you again for a great demo!!!
happy to help!

Love your level of instruction because I'm advanced but no professional. Plus you remind me my favorite comedian Steve Martin.

Definitely keep rocking that looper!

Thanks great video simple and straightforward. Love the tip on taking the loop from the middle. Peace.
Love your music
I have that same pedal. It's a lot of fun. Highly recommended
Great video.
Hmmm, wish I saw this before I got the RC 505 its cool and all , Your bud Dovydas introduced me to live looping . All I needed was something like this

This was a perfect introduction to using looper pedals
Nice, love the loopy stuff! Thanks for posting 😎

Thanks so much for saying so! I'll have more coming soon!
Bought an RC-1 about 2 months ago, I’ve yet to take it out of the box...how to’s and progression example videos would be super helpful
Alright more coming soon!
I have the same looper. I love it.

good stuff Sean!
0:25 haha what exactly will you be going over at the end there Sean?
I laughed when the fusion groove came on. Hah! Awesome
Thx, very good looper tips.
Great job ! I bought one,,,,,,,and then saw this :>)
Love my looper ... and when I crank up the amp with 6-7 layers going.. so do the neighbours 😉. Seriously though,, they are lot of fun. Thanks for the vid
Looper pedals are the best!
Great video
Thanks so much!
Total novice here. I would love to know how to plug this in, and what connections/ cords I need
I have same looper is amazing does so much sounds great and its so cheap
You could adjust the volume in your background loop using your guitar volume controller so the loop is softer....
It would be cool if you did a looper lesson with the boss rc-505
❤️ from india
So you can loop guitar over the backing tracks right? Also, how many loops can you add on top of each other?
If you want to do a acoustic guitar strumming loop....and you dont have a pickup in the acoustic, can you use a microphone into the looper?
Nice vid, Sean. I just bought the pedal at 20% off. My first piece of Donner gear. Ryde on. As always, ❤️ the StVincent!
Congrats!!!

Did you ever get around to running the looper pedal through the guitar amp’s effects loop? If so, how well did it work?
I also need and slap back delay . Do u reckon for me Pls
Very interesting

MOAR LOOPS!
Do you ever use a looper live?
Looping is by far the most fun way to practice by yourself.
Thanks! What guitar is that?
I'ts a MusicMan St Vincent. Love it!
@@seandaniel23Thanks! It's got me looking at the Sterling version. And thanks for a great looper tutorial!
I might even start liking jazz after this
I just got the same pedal. I discovered as a beginner, it is hard to use the drum machine and looper simultaneously.

Looking at loopers. Overwhelmed by the options and price ranges. Is the Donner a good beginner pedal? it works in price for a Social security guy
your fingernail is looking much better. 👌
nice vid.
Thanks! It’s coming along!
Might be a while before I go looping, but good to be ready for it if I get round to it one day, so thanks.

👍🏻👍🏻
Why does everybody use the pentatonic scale for everything?
Mimi at nayyum huh. Go boi.

My dad though me how to play catfish
I think if you had lizzy’s long dark hair you would look a lot like glen fry
I’ve actually been told that before.
@@seandaniel23 I could really see it especially when you have that serious concentration look the way Glen was
Sup!
Awwe just seen Andreas video about moving. Kind of the end of the last years era
Kinda sad man.
Hi, you might be able to hear the loop playing. However, in this video all I hear is that the guitar is to loud, I cant hear the loop.
😂🙂🙃
