I am a beginner on a CBG and bought a looper 2 years ago thinking it might help me, but just couldn't use it properly so I shelved it, now watching you I might just get it out again and try it again. Thanks.
Great video, getting back into playing after storing my guitars in a closet for 10 years. Really love that I can get one of these and “jam” in private while I work off the rust.
I am about to order my first looper shortly after purchasing electroacoustic guitar which means this video rocks! Well done Andy! Keep on doing what you are really good at
Best pedal I ever bought in the last 50 years of playing use it on my Acoustic as well as my electric .playing through a fender gtx and running through a mixer to a pair of monitor speakers also run the sound from the laptop through the mixer. It's a very simple setup the mixer was only about 20 pounds .Keep up the good work Andy wish there was TH-cam when I started out It was all sheet music and this awful music teacher when I was about 8 year old at school.
that a boy kid keep ur dream alive try to earn some money and buy it for yourself because this is a very powerful tool for ur musical journey through out life, ur mom just may be strapped for cash😇
Awesome Andy! That gap has always been my fear but I bought one years back thinking I might need it one day. Never used it. Not anymore though! Not a beginner on guitar but I like the way you lay the ideas out, I take a little something from every video I see of yours. Cheers.
What an excellent video! Thank you so much. I have tossing the idea around about a looper pedal but was not sure how they work but you have clarified that for me. Cheers!
Great to read, you won't regret it! I did an in person workshop last weekend where everyone had a go at using a looper, many for the first time, and everyone that didn't have one already wanted to buy one - they're so much fun and SO good for teaching rhythm!
I have loop features built into a couple pedals I own, but never used this feature. Maybe now I’ll give it a try. Very clear, professional explanation. 👍🎬
Yay thank you Andy. I bought a cheap one button looper pedal. The only problem is the instructions are useless. You are the ONLY ONE I have found, who shows the input and output, thereby giving me a clue how to set it up with my equipment! As a beginner I need snail type instructions lol. Thank you. Now to work out how my pedal works!
Great video. I'm am still a beginner, so a long way off being good enough to think about getting a looper pedal. but good to know its something I could use later to make my solo playing more interesting.
i have been told i should get one with a designated Stop button. thoughts. ( also i think i answered my own question. Just keep adding loops .) great clip. very generous of you. TY
This is so cool! Im glad i got got at the guitar because of you and now i got something to mess with and help me improve on some oasis songs i still need to improve. But this will be so fun while drinking creating songs. Thank you for this tutorial.
you should be doing this kind of introducing videos more. Because many out there start videos without explaining most fundamental facts. (like what is input and what is output.. or any other switches, what they are for...how to connect it to your devices..) they just start to explain like all of them out there are experts like them. what happen then is for those who come to see how one thing work, they will never get correct basic knowledge. Thank you.
Thanks! What other similar videos should i do specifically? I did one on recording guitars in garageband, thats here! th-cam.com/video/Zot9sYf6vsY/w-d-xo.html
@@andycrowley thank you andy for your consideration. for example I just had a great doubt about how I connect wires to a zonal amplifier. (later I learnt How I do dat) but I actually couldn't find a single video or tutorial or any other review with a good guidance. do whatever you feel good to tell us.
hi Andy I need a fever.. could you do a tutorial or review explaining all those details about how to connect and use boss gt 1 guitar effect processor, Please.
Fantastic video! Thanks. I have a simple Boss / Roland looper pedal. Is ditto the next one you'd recommend getting once I've got some experience under my belt?
You could try taping a contact microphone to the body of the acoustic guitar, though you need some technical know-how to do it. Watch Make:'s video "DIY Contact Mic - Colin's Lab"
There are snap on pickups that go over the sound hole of acoustic. I once had a dean markley for my non electric guitar. If I understand your question right.
This was fabulous Andy. I have had a looper for a couple of years and was not sure how to use it. To erase, just hold down a bit, right? Thanks for this very valuable lesson.👍👍🎸
Andy, thank you for this, soooo helpful, my question is though, if I wanted to play a whole tune, say even a 12 bar, so the chords change, is there enough "loop" to do this ?
Hi Andy, I'm wanting to buy my first ever looper pedal, can you please tell me if I should buy a ditto single one to get me started? Cheers pal & thank you in advance. Andy
Hi brother So looping pedals are more for soloing over a rhythm pattern? Right now I am just a pure Rhythm guitar player and I really stink at solo style. I am barely able to play a c scale I’m so new. So would I have any use for a looper to improve my rhythm guitar playing? How would that work? I do have a few acoustic guitars and electric. Just not sure how this all works. Anyone have any advice for Me? Thanks!😊
Hey mate. I have a question, i have a acoustic baton rouge guitar and i want to buy a soundhole pickup or something like that , would I be able to connect it with a loop petal to my amplifier???
Do you think I could use a loop pedal on my small Yamaha amplifier which has got a headphone socket with the headphones still work with the looper pedal attached to the guitar and to the amplifier wonder if you could advise me I can’t seem to find it anywhere on the Internet many thanks Michael Harrison
Great tutorial, you explained things so clearly and simply. Cheers!
You're the only one on YT who explains how to use the looper and counting. Thanks now it make sense.
I am a beginner on a CBG and bought a looper 2 years ago thinking it might help me, but just couldn't use it properly so I shelved it, now watching you I might just get it out again and try it again. Thanks.
Exactly the same with me I now feel more confident using my Boss RC1…cheers.
Not a beginner, but me too.
Superb lesson. It takes a certain skill for an obvious expert to explain things to an absolute beginner. This has been a big help. Thanks 🙏
Great video, getting back into playing after storing my guitars in a closet for 10 years. Really love that I can get one of these and “jam” in private while I work off the rust.
Best tutorial I've seen so far by far, gave me a simple understanding of something I thought was very technical 🙏

Amazingly well done video! Everything is clearly laid out in a simple and easy to follow way. Well done, mate!
Thanks so much. Have a looper pedal but have never used it! Now anxious to give it a try. 🙏
I am a kid and my mother thinks that this is for experts. Hope she understands some day.

@@kennethochoa7550 thanks man I will earn some money and but it myself
It's helpful for someone who wishes to become an expert. As with any skill, having fun with it will cause you to practice more.
She can’t afford it, it’s just an excuse. Don’t stop looking for your wish tho. Think bigger
i feel you...just go on...i feel you'll be a very good musician/song writer

I started my guitar journey with andy and now i've come a long way far, thanks for everything mate.

Brilliant tutorial for the looper pedal Andy
Great video , just bought my first looper pedal 👍

Ed uses it a lot
Very cool 😎
Great video. Appreciate ya
This is great. Just to be clear, I can plug the looper (out) directly into my acoustic amp and everything will work...correct?
Maybe a stupid question..but is there a loop pedal for looping full acoustic guitar..or any other noise?
You could try taping a contact microphone to the body of the acoustic guitar, though you need some technical know-how to do it. Watch Make:'s video "DIY Contact Mic - Colin's Lab"

Which one is good for beginners
