He had the right idea in that they had to offer some pardons. But that shit was way to early you gotta get rid of some of those big threats at the very least.you can’t have motherfuckers like aemon sticking around and possibly escaping from the wall.
It was indeed a very odd move, i get the sense he was trying to look at the bigger picture and just end the was, but at this point it was way to early to offer pardons.
Or maybe he was trying to look merciful too the other great lords and if they refused then it would’ve been a lot easier to eliminate the threat since pardons was offered .

Honestly, Corlys was (mostly) right about the situation. Them going to war only made it more apparent. And on the other hand, Daemon's political acumen is as deep as a puddle. The fact he's not willing to allow pardons or hostages at all says a lot about how he doesn't negotiate, and that too makes for a very poor King/King-Consort. Say what you will, Otto Hightower was right in the sense that (most of) the blacks ruling the realm would lead to disaster. And frankly, even if it was peacetime, same could be said.
Actually daemon was right. This way no Robert's rebellion and there would be Rhaegar the greatest king with his heir Jon Targaryen( I refuse to call him Aegon that was D&D not cannon, Elia's son's name is Aegon...they combined the characters) married to Dany the white walkers would be destroyed. I see both sides but I lean more towards Prince Daemon views. As for Aegon daughter, I not sure what tto do with her.
