  • Another video that went on for longer than it should but can you swap your Pro free hubs around without changing anything? Yes it seems so. At least in regards to the XD Driver and Shimano MTB 11 speed freehubs.
There's some physical differences with these 2 freehubs but mechanically they fit in the same hub and on the same shaft.
    Shimano
    2 17x28x7 bearings
    Central tube part number HUB1009-20S
    XD driver
    1 17x28x7 bearing
1 17x26x5 bearing (S6803, goes at the front)
Central tube part no - HUB1009-45S
When I talk about the Shimano freehub, this one is made by HOPE in the UK but the design is Shimano's own patent, so that's why it's referred to as a Shimano freehub.
Pricey hubs but good quality and easy to get spares.

Doing this reverse installing the X D Dr., do you use the one mill spacer that’s behind the Shimano drive?

Did you just push the green seal thing with your thumb? Without using a hope pro seal tool?

Yes on this occasion. It's not always so easy though and now I have the tool to do it. Some of those green seals are very tight and require the tool to not damage them.
