Hi, I have a new mk3 I bought today and I followed your video to a tee (I'm using windows 11). The colours do not change on the actual device. The functions still go through but my device has no lights. When you sent it to the Launchpad on custom 2 I had an extra step. A blue button that says "Overwrite custom mode. I press it and the window disappears. Not sure what is different. The colors give a good guide as to where my custom commands are.
Is there anything on the market that does more than just control Reaper. I mean, is there something to actually enter note information and have the pads color differentlyy depending on the scale I want to play in for example? Every controller can send messages to Reaper to start actions, but using it as an actual instrument would be much more useful for me.
That's because the original mini or the MK2 (the RGB Launchpad) doesn't support custom midi maps, for use with Components. You'll need to buy a Launchpad Mini MK3, a Launchpad X, or a Launchpad Pro MK3 to have custom modes available. Hope that helps.
hello, how do you add these music projects to mini mk3 from ableton, I'm adding it, but I can't play the rest of the project, that is, the second page, for example, alan walker in faded can only play the entrance part on launchpad, I can't add the rest to the page, can you help me bro?
I just can't get it to work. Tried everything. even tried messing about with the 'midi channels' on the input button from within the tracks. Another weird thing, when i press the button on the launchpad, it stays selected. even if not mapped to anything. like its playing a track.
The best i've mannaged to acheive, is a little yellow square will flash up on the track when i press the button with mapped action. but it won't toggle the mute.
Looking for a Launchkey Mini template for Reaper. Any links?
Works with the novation launchpad x????
I would imagine so.

This would just overwrite whatever preset is already in that slot
Is possible use launchpad x like volume fader?
I believe so. I think im the launchpad preferences you can do that.

This can do that, it is just a midi device after all. You can set it up to do all sorts of things, just takes time setting up presets.
@@graydhd8688 I appreciate your info. In the meantime I bought a Launchpad Pro Mk3 which does everything I wanted, so I am happy. Thanks.
Unfortunately, it doesn't work on MK2 :(
That’s a bummer.
