Good morning, beautiful beautiful harvest what a blessing 🙏🏾❤️
Thank you so much Ma’am!! 💕💕😊😊
This heat is absolutely hateful. HATEFUL! 🥵
What an incredible harvest! 🙌 That’s straight up groceries!
I’m over here picking snacks 😂
I know you about that heat! It's probably hotter in Texas right now! I still like the summer better than winter! 😂😂 You have a lot of goodie snacks over there too!! 😋😋 I love eating okra off the plants! It is sooo good!! Thanks for watching!! 😊😊💕💕
Lisa you got a great harvest!!! My stuff is just starting to come in good. I just seen a tomato starting to blush and i have a few cukes now!! Thanks for sharing!!
Happy Gardening everyone!!!
Thanks Stephanie!! I got I don't know how may tomato plants all full of green tomatoes. I've picked some to fry. 😉😉 I be glad when I start to see some red, yellow or black ones. 😂😂 Thanks for stopping by!! Happy gardening to you!! 🌻🌹🌷
Hello, Lisa. Beautiful, beautiful harvest Groceries are looking good.❤💚
Thank you so much Wendy! Happy gardening!! 🌻🌹🌷😊💕
Stay hydrated and cool my friend. It’s been scorching 🥵 hot here too! I water early in the morning and late in the evening. Nice video😊💚🫶🏾🐝
Hey Brutha!! I bet it’s been really hot down there! My sister and I like drinking the Body Armor drinks. They have way more potassium than Gatorade. We need potassium! We have gotten most of the garden hookup on drip now. So we’ve been using it morning and evenings. I love it because our hose won’t reach out there! Thanks so much for stopping by! Happy Gardening!! 🌻🌻🪴🪴💕💕😊😊
Lisa it might be hot but you your sister are doing a great job . Thank you for sharing
Thank you so much!! I appreciate ya! 😊😊💕💕
You must have a leak in one of your emitters if it has water spillage. I’d manually turn it on and see how the water is flowing. Another great harvest. The garden looks amazing. Thanks for sharing.😊🧅🥒🍉🫶🏽
Hey there!! I call myself looking around the first day we ran it, but we got visitors and I was looking while they were talking to me and I didn't see where it was coming from. My sister and I decided we might be leaving it on too long. That has worked better, but I am going to look at it again. I kind of feel like I need to put more of the drip lines down in the beds, but everything thing is looking pretty and green. Thanks for the suggestion. This drip install is driving me nuts! I feel like that's all I do now in the garden and everything else is going undone and neglected! 🤨🤨🤨
@@gardeningwithlisa in the beginning the drip can take up a good amount of time. Once everything is in and running correctly. Then all you do is check to make sure it’s still operating as it should. It gets better. 😊👍🏽👍🏽
Hi Lisa. That is a nice harvest. Those are some nice broccoli heads. Swiss Chard is a favorite of mine also.
Thank you so much! I told someone else that I love growing and eating Swiss Chard! Thank you for watching!!
Beautiful harvest, Lisa❤😊💚
Thank you Ms Linda! 😊😊💕💕
Am back home and doing well. We are having 90 plus degrees here in Indiana. We had a storm here the day before yesterday and quite a few trees and limbs fell down in our little town. Take care of your self and your sister and don’t get too hot.❤
That is awesome! I am so glad you are doing well Ms Linda! But, you still don’t need to over do it by doing too much! I’m so glad to see you back in the TH-cam streets! 😂😂. You stay well, stay blessed and keep cool!! 🙌🏽🙌🏽💕💕😊😊
Thank you Ms Lisa. I am taking it easy.😊
Yoy have a wonderful harvest!! I love watching you!! Did you say "You MIGHT take those small onions into the house?" Ms. Lisa you had better take those onions in the house peel, slice or chop them and dehydrate them onions and garlic se them as dehydrated onions or grind them into onion powder. We can use nearly everything grown in our gardens that's not rotten!!!
Thank you!! Yes, you are right, I'll use them. They are still outside with all the onions. I always let them sit in our greenhouse for about 2 weeks to dry out. Thank you for watching!! 😊😊
Great information 🌷Thanks
Thank you for watching!! 😊😊
Great harvest lisa!
Thank you so much!! 😊😊
I’m in Mississippi and we got up graded from 8a to 8 b this year 2024. I’ve had great luck with my tomatoes 🍅 .
That's awesome! What tomatoes did you plant?
HELLO LISA, YOU NEED A TEE SHIRT SAYS "YOU NEED TO SAY GOODNIGHT TO THE PEOPLE".
Yes I do!! 😂😂🤣🤣
❤❤❤
💕💕💕
Awesome harvest!!!
Thanks! 😊😊
Hi Lisa
You had a very nice harvest. You are growing all those onions and I can't get one. What's your secret? Be careful out there my friend. This heat is no joke. Happy gardening 😊
Hello Ms Renee!! When I buy onion plants from Dixondale Farms, they help you grow onions. They mail and email you newsletters on how to grow them. When it's time to fertilize them, they email you and let you know. But, over time I started using other fertilizers, but using Bone meal every 14 to 21 days is good. When they start to growing bulbs, then you don't really have to use bone meal anymore, and you want to move the soil away from around the bulb so it can expand and grow. And, you don't want to plant them too deep or they will grow just as a bunching onion, no bulb! And if the green tops starts to turn yellow use some fish emulsion 511. And, that's it!! Last year, I started seeds. My first time. Some grew well and some didn't. I am trying again in the Fall to plant seeds. You can do it Ms Renee! I know you can!!
Hey beautiful Lisa! That heat is crazy 🥵.
Yes it was! And, the bugs where so busy buzzing around and running into the walls and on ME! 😯😯
I think your cabbage split, it wasn't eaten. Mine did the same earlier this year. It's too hot here in San Diego to grow cool weather crops now! Yes! That's green bug poop!! Harvest those cabbages!!!
Ok. I had never seen cabbage do that before. I grew cabbage last Fall and the ice storm got them! 🤨
Goodness me Lisa what a fabulous harvest,Maybe them small onions are for pickling we pickle them.Youve got some beautiful Ocra there look a lot bigger then last years at this stage. You know what your like with Mr No shoulders well lm like it with flying bugs...l would be runn8ng in the house soooooo fast 😒 very pretty top you've got on today. Our temperatures have shot up to the 30s c toooooo hot now 🤭 till next time dear friend ❤
Oh yes, my okra grew horrible last year! I didn't know what was wrong because I grew okra years before and they grew like trees. I guess you just have an off year on somethings. Those bugs get busy at night when there is a light on. You all went from cold to hot real quick! I hope all is well Dear Friend!! Stay well!! 😊💕🙌🏽
Nice video.
Many many thanks 😊😊🌷🌹🌻
Grear harvesting video Ms. Lisa! You looked like you'd seen a ghost when you were speaking about those insects. 😂 I've been taking it easy as well due to over heated camera and body🤔. I'm going to purchase a package of those seeds tomorrow. I don't like the slime in okra but it's so healthy for you. Stay healthy and I'll see you in the garden🤗
Hello Ms Gail! Now you take it easy! We don’t need you getting too hot and sick in the garden! I got those seeds from Baker Creek. Burmese Okra. We didn’t cook any yet because we stand out there and eat them! 🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️.😂🤣. Thanks for watching And happy gardening!! 🌻🌷🌹🪴
Nice video Ms Lisa
I really appreciate that! Stay blessed!! 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽
Hi Lisa! That was an awesome harvest!😊
You are going to be a pro when it comes to drip irrigation 😂
You learn so much once you understand the basics.
And try running the irrigation manually for a few minutes to see exactly where the leak is coming from. Also, did you buy any goof plugs?
I found myself using a few of them because of a leak where the 1/4" tubing is plugged into the 1/2" tubing.
As always, thanks for sharing, friend 😊
Hey Friend! I am totally over it but we are just about done. Just have the front yard to hookup. I want to replace those red emitters I have in the pots and containers. They don’t sprinkle good! Where I have those connected, water just run out of the containers and pots. So we said we are running it too long. Yes I been using goof plugs on the 1/4” and end caps on the 1/2” tubing. I’ll show more videos. I’ll see you on the next one Friend! 😊😊😊
Hey Lisa. What a beautiful harvest. I have been working on my drip irrigation as well. Thanks for the recommendation. I’m trying to get mine finished up. I’m half way there. Have an awesome blessed day. Hey sis👋🏽❤😊
Girl, I am totally tired and annoyed with this drip install! It seems like it will never get done! My hands, my muscles, and my back hurts!! It takes all your strength the push that tubbing onto those connectors that you twist look! I am totally burnout, but we still have the front yard to hookup. We need to place another order because we are all out of all tubing. I know it will be well worth it in the end! Buy your parts and materials from DripDepot.com. They have videos for you to watch and help you install, and their product is better quality, and they are cheaper. Yaaayyyy for your drip install!! Thanks for stopping by!! Happy gardening!! 🌷🌹🌻
@@gardeningwithlisa Lisa is was struggling with connecting the tubing too. So i heated some water and put the tubing in it for a few seconds and the tubing slides onto the connector easily. It will save your hands 😉
@@GodsDesire4me My sister would keep warm water and it does help a lot, but it was sooo many we had to connect! 🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️
Thanks for sharing Ms Lisa everything looks great. Sorry about the red 🧅. I harvested my first 🥔🧅☺️ grew in containers. And was just looking into drip for the front yard flowers 🥵 thanks for info
💐🌱
That is great you got a harvest! It feels so good to grow your food and stock your freezer and save your money! I pretty much finished installing drip in the backyard, now we have to install in the front yard. It's a lot of work, but well worth it!! Thanks for watching!! 😊😊
@@gardeningwithlisa my pleasure, learning alot from this soil fam 💐🤗
In north Florida, we reached 100, and with the humidity, it was hotter. We are supposed to drop because we have something, something out there, lol. I have some frozen tomatoes in the freezer. I dont eat many tomatoes because of acid reflux, but I did try the different color ones. They are not supposed to have all that acid in them.Im trying Barry crazy cherry.I had to Google when it was ready to pick.Im waiting on my okra each day.Yummy! I don't plant a whole lot in the summer. I wait until fall to do that.❤
Hey there!! My sister has acid reflux really bad too and she can’t really eat tomato base foods that much! I’m growing a yellow Brandywine, Black Brandywine, Black Beauty, Black Krim, and Kellogg Breakfast tomatoes basically for her. She will eat Paul Roberson though, but that’s about it of the red tomatoes. Thanks for watching!!
@gardeningwithlisa Ask her to try taking a Tablespoon of apple cidar vinegar ( with the mother) 15 BEFORE eating to see if that helps her.I also take " Betaine HCI Pepsin Gentian Bitters after eating. I thought I had HIGH acid, but I have LOW acid .I just do these two things when I eat because it seems everything wants to set it off.And don't eat 5 hours before going to bed.And chew your food throughly ( I eat to fast lol bad habit from childhood)
@delphine88313 she’s done all that and taken meds for it for many years! She lost weight this year and changed her eating habits and she told me the other day that she has not had to take anything for her acid reflux last few weeks!! Praise God!!! 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽
@@gardeningwithlisa Praise God.Yes, changing our eating habits works.
Hi Lisa I was curious can I grow beets from the store , you know , cutting off the top and putting them in the soil , let me know what you think I am in Mississippi
Hello! We don’t eat beets so I’ve never grown it. You probably can if you can get it to root, then stick it in the soil to grow. I kind of think you should grow beets when it’s cooler.
@@gardeningwithlisa thanks 🥰
Can you make pickled onions with the small ones?
That’s what I was told too! I can pickle the small onions. I’m going to have to look in my Ball canning book and find a recipe.
@@gardeningwithlisa there’s a recipe in the ball canning book for “zesty red onion jelly” that only calls for 1 cup of red onions. It sounds good!
Are those cabbages taking on a lot of water? If too much water won't, they burst? I still have swiss Chard, also.I ate some with eggs a few days ago.
Back in April, May and early June we got a lot of rain, even floods. Maybe it burst and I just didn't know. I never seen a cabbage that burst before. Now I know. Thanks! Your Swiss Chard might grow on through next year. It will probably die back the hotter it gets, but it will come back in the Fall when it cools down. It will come back as pretty as it is right now! I love growing and eating Swiss Chard!!
@gardeningwithlisa Thank you.I harvested it real low.lol I have some crops that are shading it a little.
Can you pickle the onion
I am not really sure. I will have to research that to see. Thanks for watching!
Could the cabbage be splitting? That happened to a couple of my cabbages
That’s what I’ve been told. I never had them to split so I didn’t know that’s how they look when they split. Going back to April May and first part of June we got a whole lot of rain and they probably split from that.
Did you plant your swiss chard from seeds?
Yes ma’am! I started those seeds back in January. Swiss Chard can grow in hot temps like we got last weekend and freezing cold temps teens or single digit lows! 🌷🌹🌻
@@gardeningwithlisa thank you❤️
