- On Tuesday May 28, 2024 I harvested my Yukon Gold potatoes and it was a pretty good! A lot better than my harvest in 2022. The 3 containers I harvested the potatoes, I will be transplanting more tomato plants. Thank you for watching!!

I harvested our Yukon Potatoes 5/28/2024, and I am so please with the harvested! I grew them for 2 years unsuccessfully. I did not grow any in 2023 and I decided to grow some this year and I am glad I did!😊😉😀

Thank you Ms. Gail! I didn’t make this video but I did make a video and then I fertilized my entire garden with 511 and that Morbloom I found at Lowe’s when you call me. Home Depot was going to have to ship Morbloom to me, but I needed it bad! Everything I have planted right now needs the 0-10-10! I sent you some screen shots and videos of what we talked about. Hello my friend!! You just need to plant you a bunch of paste tomatoes so you can make your own sauces, paste, and salsa! 😊😊. Or do you already make it? I know you do a lot of canning. I didn’t can any tomato sauce last year. My sister only wanted pasta sauce. This year, I plan to can a lot of both tomato sauce and pasta. If you are a good steward over your garden, the Lord will bless you with a harvest! 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽 after this season, you will be looking for more space to expand! 🤣🤣. If you don’t have the room to grow out, then grow up, vertical! You can grow tons of food in the stackable planters. Green Stalk is the best one. You can grow anything you want in those! Hello Dear Friend! I figured you all were really busy getting your Allotments all planted out! Send me pix! It was very humid when I harvested those potatoes! I wanted to get them before it rain again. We have gotten so much rain, but I shouldn't complain because in about a month or so, we won't get any rain for weeks! I didn't plant white potatoes ( I don't eat them like that anyway).I did plant sweet potatoes ( I'm not into them, but I had a few left from a purchase) they are coming along nicely. I'm eating the leaves in eggs.They taste fine, and it's my first time eating the leaves, so I can't say what they taste like😅 Great harvest !

Hello! Every time I am going to plant in them I just amend the soil with our own compost. Those containers have been there for about 3 years now. I don't remember exactly what I filled it with, but I was probably potting soil, peat moss, compost and perlite. Thank you for watching!! 😊😊

Hello! I started growing in those pots in 2021 and I don’t even remember what we put in it, but all out containers and pots we use potting soil. Some times we will add Peat Moss and perlite. After every growing season we amend with compost, our own compost or store bought. A couple months ago I amend them with aged cotton compost. We have a cotton gin right up the road, and our lawn guy’s dad brought us a big pile of that. That soil is still pretty fluffy I harvested those potatoes from, but I added a little compost manure bought from the store when I planted the tomatoes. I just mix different things up. I always want to add compost though. The earthworms will love you for that!
When you say the last time you put too many seed potatoes, how many is too many?
Ok you said no more than 3, I have 4 bags with at least 4-6 in each. So maybe I’ll sow some more with three in them.
Hello! I was putting 4 to 6 in one of those 17 gallon buckets. Potatoes came out so tiny. Back in February I bought 2 bags of the Yukon Gold from Lowe's. They had 4 seed potatoes in each bag. I put 3 seeds in 2 of the buckets, and I put 2 in one of the buckets. That's the only reason I can come up with why I was getting such small potatoes in the past. I could be wrong! 🤷🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️
