Actually, was planning on buying a Highlander kit when the Murphy fell on me. It was a money decision in the end. Time and money. Murphy was already built and was way cheap to pick up even though I have had to do a lot of work on it. I have been able to fly it as I puttered on it. Highlander is probably a more capable "bush" plane but I figured the Murf would do everything I was ever going to do and was a lot cheaper, already put together, and just plain roomier.
@@HeeHawHighlander Not my call. Buddy wanted me to assist with the build. He had hit the wall and was mired in the project. Couldn't talk him out of Revmaster. Managed to talk him out of the "engine in a box" that Sonex wants to sell but couldn't get him past Revmaster.
a fantastic day
In deed. Beautiful area too.

@@TangoSierra2022 yes I like the metal ruggedness and look of the rebel ps have you seen the rebel on youtube with the leading edge slats
Is that a B Model Sonex behind you?
Onex project. Waiting on Revmaster to pull it together!
Tango Sierra screw the Revmaster, find a good used 912 and you’ll have a lot more motor and a lot less weight.
Less fuel burn too
