Reconsidering my stance on insurance since switching to being caseless. This video helped me decide. So here’s some of the money I will save cuz of you 😊
Bro I bought the 14 pro max. Put it in a case. Ended up breaking the back glass within 2 weeks. Thank god I didn’t listen to others that say the same things you just did. They literally gave me a new phone for 29$. Plus I work in the construction industry. So ya I’ll stick with my coverage. You guys that say this are just screwing others over in my opinion. Must people really don’t have good luck with phone or buy old outdated phones out of fear of breaking an expensive one. Just my opinion and experience. Regardless I love you channel and content keep up the great work.
@@colt5189most likely a garbage one. My otterbox case lasted me 2 years and my phone is like brand new because I always have a case and screen protector on it. I’ve dipped gym benches and heavy dumbbells on my phone. Had to get the screen protector replaced of course for like $20
Bent my iPad, broke my iPhone, had the battery replaced, apple care saved me an arm and a leg. It also just made replacement super easy cause they give out a new device 9 times out of 10. Then you can resell it later on.
Battery replacements are completely free, front or back glass is $30 deductible versus $200+ at a repair shop. Accidental damage is $99 (they’ll more than likely replace your entire phone if parts cost exceeds the device value), and theft or loss is $149 deductible (they’ll definitely replace your phone then). It’s definitely worth it in the long run. Now if you get the cheapest iPhone, for example, the SE, then it might not be worth it since that phone is really cheap to get repaired.
@@Joshtheweatherman I've read of people smashing their phone after 2 years or whatever so they could use Applecare+ to get a new phone for some reason.
@@Joshtheweathermanwhat’s the likelihood they’ll replace. For example, if my front screen is cracked and I take it into the Apple Store, will they replace it or give me a new phone which is what I would rather have
Unless insurance is mandated by law, most insurance is sold as a scare tactic. Especially insurance for products. Like you said depending on the insurance company they can find so many ways not to honor their policy.
But the real question we should be asking is shouldn’t a premium priced product like apple should give a premium after sales services without an additional cost.
It’s 7.99 a month without theft protection brother. In reality Apple could be charging $20 and it would still be a great deal. All of this is barring their service of course, but I haven’t had/seen anyone having a hard time with fixes/replacements
I'm a guy who skates a lot to work. A couple of times i've fallen and my phone cracked. I used apple care plus for like 2x already and it has been great.
I can’t get with the monthly subscription. I need an annual care plan for my phone. They only offer it when you first get the device, after that time is over you pay monthly.
You forgot that with apple care + I can replace battery for less. Now I have to pay way more to replace my iphone 13 battery cuz it is really draining fast. It is around 80% of original capacity.
My Apple care paid for itself when I fell and broke the screen. Even after the screen repair and cost of the AppleCare it paid for itself and I was 40$ a head. The fact that I am a runner and am at higher risk of higher speed accidents so of me it is worth it.
I have applecare+theft for my new iPhone 14 pro max. Reason I have it is really only because I don’t use cases nor screen protectors, lol. So for me, I’m already willingly higher risk to damage so it’s worth the small cost. The biggest detractor for not getting it though, imo, is that realistically you just won’t use it.
I tend to agree but did luckily have apple care on my iPhone that I cracked at the gym and I got a hassle free replacement for $29. I won’t get for any of my MacBooks or IPads but the iPhone I feel is it worth it because we carry it everywhere.
Totally agree. Health insurance -- a must if at all possible. Devices like phones and laptops -- optional. I had $68000+ surgery and ended up paying $1200. But paying monthly, annually or even one-time to protect a device that, if worst came to worst, I could replace with something cheaper -- I'd rather spend that money on something more rewarding. Off-topic: I could listen to you talk all day. For me, you are the definition of "charismatic". I go away feeling 50% happier.
For most people, the upfront or low monthly cost of AppleCare and its excess if something happens, is much easier to budget for and manage than the out of warranty repair or replacement cost of an iPhone/iPad/Mac. $200 upfront or $5-15/month + $30-150 excess is a lot easier on most people’s finances than the $600+ immediate cost of repair/replacement.
If you are in the position that you can't self-insure a phone you should get your finances in order. Or else use a cheaper phone. However applecare might still be worth it depending on how often you expect to break/lose a phone (I'm clumsy and forgetful)
I just bought a new M4 Pro Mac Mini custom upgraded and spec'ed out along with a new 27" 5K Retina Mac Studio display. Both these devices are not portable and expected to sit at my desk with surge protection. I dont have pets and kids at my place. What are the compeling scenarios I still might need AppleCare+ for these devices ?
what are your thoughts on applecare+ for macbook pro products ($2400 and up range)? noticed you just talked about the phones (which I totally agree, I don't even get insurance for mine). i dont have applecare for my phone, but for my $2800 macbook pro it was just such a high price range and locked system that I had to buy the insurance for it. I'd argue the laptops cost more to replace and also cost a lot more in general to buy, just wondering your thoughts on those
i was anti apple care until my 14pro max slipped on tile i was at work it was raining and i was pulling out my umbrella while in a case and shattered the camera and back it would of been 500+ to repair with apple care it was 30 for the “deductible” and 14$ a month more than paid for itself and i have owned a iphone since the 5s w/o applecare but the monthly plan sold me
I get applecare+ on my airpod pro, apple watch & macbook air but not my phone. I never broke a phone ever and my experience from owning android phones over the years is that iPhone is the most well-built phone to date. I just put the apple leather case in it and that’s basically my insurance
I´m this profile.... - Screen Protector right out of the store; - Phone Case, also right out of the store with it; - Extremely carefull when carryng or using the device; - Working in office with the device in my pocket or over the table. My last phones, after 2 or 3 years of usage barely seemed to be used! No Apple care for me. But I know a certain kind of people that are device destroyers, for them.... it might be very useful.
My partner has broken her iPhone 13 Pro Max's screen TWICE in the last 3-4 months (case but no screen protector); thankfully she has AppleCare. I think getting it is pretty individualized based on the person's individual clumsiness. Also I think her having the max phone makes her more prone to dropping it. I also have applecare on my iPhone 13, but sometimes question keeping it for that reason because I think I've only broken one screen from all the smart phones I've ever owned. Thankfully, Apple makes it pretty easy to cancel/get a partial refund if you feel like you don't need it anymore or the price doesn't justify "protecting" it anymore.
Please use this video as a guide. The biggest thing here it’s this; if you work from home and don’t like to use cases then get the apple are+ but if your work place its like a delivery guy or construction or even in a crowded place get the theft and loss plan.
Just get it. You’ll spend more $ at Starbucks. I also was the one not buying Apple Care. Until my iPad had a catastrophic malfunction right after the Apple warranty expired. It had to do with the chip, it was kind of detached from the board or something like that. To fix it, it was like performing a brain surgery, it was expensive and not many repair shops could do it. My almost new IPad became a paper weight. If I had Apple Care, for sure they would have replaced it. Lesson learned.
I’ve never had it either but thinking really hard now because like you said, you will spend that at Starbucks. I had a rage moment with my wife just last week and smashed my pristine 14PM on the glass table not once but twice. Plus if I want to rock no case its cool because I’m covered. Kinda makes sense when I just dropped nearly $1300 for the 15PM
My iPhone 14 Pro is less than a month old and I already scratched the camera with a thick case on. I’m not bothered by it since I do have AppleCare+. I’m outdoors a lot so AppleCare is a no brainer. I also am very clumsy and drop my phones at least twice daily.

Did you hear about the the resent incident were a phone was sucked out of a plane, from a rapid decompression, and still worked after being found on the ground.
first time macbook user here, with regards to apple care + do you feel the same for a 14 inch m3 macbook pro? only wondering since its $279.99 for 3 years while an out of pocket battery replacement's estimated cost is $249 (before any possible hidden fees and overtime price increase).
I purchase AppleCare on every single one of my devices because I hand them down to family members each and every single year and multiple times I have not broken any of my devices a family member has AppleCare for the win as they just completely replace the entire device and AppleCare+ has unlimited accidental repair/replacements having AppleCare on my MacBook when something went wrong inside of it they replace the entire MacBook with my iPhone 7 Plus. They replaced the whole phone with my iPhone 4. They replaced the screen and didn’t even charge me a labour fee.
Wait from the chart do apple offer d option of a one off payment of $200.00 for a two year insurance plan? Also if u can afford it I say take it because s€¢t happens

I just bought a 14 pro max yesterday. I didn’t get apple care but now thinking I should. I had an 8 plus for 5 years with a case and screen protector. Dropped it more times than I can count. Shattered the screen protector only once which was just 2 months ago. But I do get scared something could happen not related to dropping it.
Ndeewo, in general I agree and have never bought nor needed AppleCare+, however for my caseless new iPhone 13 mini I will certainly be getting it (after 60 days). My last phone was the OG iPhone SE 2016 and it was luckily never damaged in any way. Since the cost of repair to the mini (glass) is so high and there is no follow up mini iPhone in sight, I’d rather opt for the peace of mind on this one *if* something were to happen, despite being super careful with my hardware. Excellent channel, appreciate your content, keep it up! 😊

Very nice video, even when I have Apple Care+ an all my devices. I think your argument is solid, if in your experience you don’t need it just don’t get it, but… If you are like me and have a long history of accidentally breaking, loosing or damaging your equipment (even while due to a neurological condition I’m really careful, or at least do my best to be, but manage to drop things inadvertently), then just get it. Funny enough I’m watching your video and I’m just back from the Apple Service because my 2020 M1 MacBook Air had a broken screen. They just replaced it for a fresh one at no cost. I’m more than happy now, and that’s thanks to Apple Care+

I think it’s worth it, even though I always have buyers remorse after. But I use my phone like a computer everyday for work plus I like to game on it. I use a case and screen protector so I’m not super worried about cracking things. From past experience, I’ve had other things go wrong such as buttons that would stop working and camera focus motor troubles. If I didn’t have applecare they said it would cost me half the price of a new phone to get the camera focusing again. So while I may have buyers remorse now, I won’t be beating myself up in the Genius Bar line about to hand over hundreds of dollars to get back up and running again.
what's messed up is that you have to buy apple care which is expensive and then when you're phone gets damaged you have to pay again even though you already paid it
it's only worth 1000-1600 when its the current year and it's the current iPhone, one the year passes it gets whats called depreciation and isn't worth as much because it's considered the old phone if it's not the new one @@Kingcommaalex
Bro, I don't know about your experience, but I can share my experience with you here. My dad broke his phone and went to apple, it was replaced within 20 minutes and one time my iPad screen broke miserably and the face id also stopped working and the back panel was destroyed, no questions asked, they just said that it would be replaced, and now my dad broke his iPhone 14 miserably. They would surely replace it again.
Thinking about buying new iPhone, watching this video with a iPhone SE2 with 5 cracks on screen, a broken Touch ID and seeing the circuit beneath the screen, while this guy said “chance you broke your phone is 0”. Just Strengthen my idea of getting AC+😢slippery hand here
I just can’t see how it makes sense even if something DOES happen. If you always get the highest tier of Applecare, by the end of year 5 you’ve got the money to get a brand-new phone. That’s about how long I keep a phone. Never yet had to take an Apple device in for repairs, and I’ve always had at least one Apple device since I got an iPod Touch 2 when I was 8. Even if my brand-new iPad Air 5 that I’ve had for less than a week had something happen to it, I could just buy another one right now and be money ahead compared to if I had Applecare all this time. Something could happen to the second one, maybe even a third one, and I’d still be money ahead.
My girlfriend is always dropping her phone. We're talking a few times per week. Mostly these aren't an issue because she has a protective case & screen protector but you can pretty much guarantee she'll break the screen every 18 months. I drop mine maybe once per year, and I've only ever broken the screen on my phone once. Her phones also experience far more problems than mine do, I liken it to boxers getting repeated sub-concussive brain injuries. Given it's a one price for all, it makes a lot more sense for her to be insured than me. However, we get phone insurance through our bank so can each get a single repair/replace (so covers catastrophic damage, so long as we still have something recognisable as having once been a phone) for £50, then anything above that is £100. So I have a 20% chance of using it, and if I do use it it only saves me £25, so an estimated value of £5 for the 2 year cover period (okay maybe slightly higher given I could drop it multiple times, but somewhat unlikely). Given it costs £199, it's a terrible value proposition for me.
I say if you can afford it yes by the extra protection for your iPhone, I brought the 14 promax with monthly AppleCare+ lost and theft. Best thing I did.
At a high level insurance exists for profit so the expected value of a policy has to be negative. However there can be some efficiencies associated with the repair process, and they effectively sell you the repair at cost. Plus depending on your individual experience with phone - if you are clumsy and have broken phones in the past, I certainly have - you have some information the insurance company doesn't (in insurance this is called "adverse selection" and why if you are a careful person it probably isn't a good deal)
Hi! Good video, good vibes! I've been thinking of buying a NEW SEALED 2022 MacBook Air M2 which would have the 1 year limited Apple warranty. Considering that I normally don't take my laptop out of home, I move it only from my desk to the kitchen counter and back after using, and I'm very careful with my phone, tablets and laptops, would it be worth it to still get additional AppleCare+ extended coverage..? Or is the included 1 year limited Apple warranty good enough..? How likely is it really for a 2022 MacBook Air M2, that is NEW SEALED when I receive it, to have any functionality issues within the first three years, to malfunction on its own during that time...? Thanks for your time!
Could someone help me? I bought iPhone in USA, and now I moved to Poland. I would like to buy AppleCare for this iPhone but I cannot do this in Poland so I have to buy it in another country - in this case, in USA. Is it going to be some problems with this insurance? We have few authorised apple services in Poland but I’m worrying about it.
Ultimately it boils down to risk management. if youre clumsy, have children, or work in places where youre liable to have an accident with your devices buy the insurance. Otherwise his evaluation is just fine, choose whats best for you but dont feel forced is the message
I never smashed phone in my life and I have them since old Nokias. I never broke something, sure I dropped phones but I never broke nothing...I had Samsung A50 for like 5 years and now I got iPhone 15 I bought screen protector, camera protector and a case so I think I should be fine unless it gets run over by a car 😂 Apple even played me dirty my option for Apple Care disappered before 60 days when I clicked on it, even tho I think on Desktop version if I log in to website I think I could still buy it.
Does apple care plus international, I mean i bought 15 pro max in Usa with apple care plus , now i moved to uk if any damage happen will it get covered in uk
I always get Apple Care Plus with my iPhone and iPad Pro. if I don’t use the AppleCare Plus service it within the year I make sure I do use it. I might have a little “accident” and then I just take it to my local Apple Store and they’ll replace it with a brand-new device within 20 minutes.
I NEVER buy extended warranties or insurance. You end up spending much more In the long run. $100 here $50 here $130 here. Year after year, item after item it ads up. it’s better to pay full price to replace or repair an item. Even if you have to pay $800 to replace a phone it was less expensive over your lifetime.
So, GUYS! Help me out. I always buy an otterbox case for my iphones. Otterbox Defender. And a screen protector. So, that's the one I have for my current 14 Pro Max. I got me the 1TB version because i wanted a lot of memory to last me a long time without needing to upgrade. My prior phone was the 12 Pro Max 128gb and same thing; I had the Ottberbox Defender & screen protector. During the 2yrs or so with my 12, it literally only cracked the screen protector just once. But i never replaced it since it was just the screen protector lol Mind you with some of the work I do , my phone can drop from High places like a ladder or scaffold, or slips from my pockets or kinda toss it on tables lol a bad habit of mines (not clumsy tho lol) but that case protected it so well. Even my old iPhone 8, same thing otterbox and screen protector and that one never cracked or anything. So, with the 14, I'm thinking of getting AppleCare+, mainly to have it for a battery replacement ? Worth it? my 12 pro max was getting annoying since i had to be charging it 2x a day, and my whole World like revolves being on my phone always. Plus it ran out of memory too But would applecare+ be worth it for battery? the damages and unlimited repairs doesn't really wow me given my case that i use (i'm the paranoid guy who never wants to use slim cases despite how much more you can appreciate the beautiful iPhone lol) Seems you still have to pay for the battery anyways with applecare+, so idk? So, curious to hear everyone's thought here?
For phones I have always had a back up phone, never paid for insurance. I keep my old phone when upgrading to a new one. Hardly trade in phones. Currently now, I daily the 13 mini with my older 12 mini as back up. Just in case. I always use screen protectors and cases on my phones because I hate scratches. Both minis are in working condition and I plan to keep them for a long time. I also plan to get the batteries replaced in both models once they hit 80% battery health. I think insurance is needed for those who are hard on their phones and those people know who they are.
I could not disagree more. AppleCare+ is 100% worth it for a phone that you use everyday. With all the changes/updates Apple has made to AppleCare+ the past few years just makes it an even better insurance option.
@@emdblyou Yes. Well I take good care of my phone (13 pro) but few months back at work, I went to my boss and left my phone at my desk. Came back and found it dropped (some colleague might have dropped it by mistake and after seeing the damage, they quietly left). Whole back, glass near camera and camera glass was broken. Would have cost me a fortune if I didn't had Apple care+ So, you can never claim that you would be able to take good care of it.
Agreed, well, depending on what Apple product you have and the plan cost. If you get an SE or an older model phone (new), it may not be worth it if you're generally pretty good about not damaging your phone. But if you have the newest line, especially the pros, I think it is. If you look at the repair costs without AC for the new Pros, they are quite high. One front or back glass screen break could cost more than a year's worth of AC. Even the theft version may be worth it for the newest Pro model as the new design makes it stand out a bit more, whereas regular 14 and older models look similar going back to iPhone X. Similar for higher end MacBooks. iMacs may be fine since they are going to be sitting on a desk. The AppleCare for the AirPod Pros is even more reasonably priced and probably worth it, greatly reduces the cost of getting replacements if anything happens to them. And yeah, of course these companies do the math and set a price where they will likely profit overall from it but from our perspective, we do not know if we'll be one of the unlucky ones and without it, you will feel a lot more pressure to be careful unless you're doing well financially or someone else pays for it (company or parents).
I have the iPhone SE 2020 and of course AppleCare for me is rather cheap at four dollars a month but I have broken my screen twice which has gotten repaired both times My haptic feedback stopped working in my phone at one point which got replaced for free and now, when I try to take pictures with my phone for some reason, the lens is just rattling and I do plan on scheduling an appointment to get that fixed here soon as well you just never know what can go wrong with these days and yeah it is a bit of cost to maintain even AppleCare with so many years but when you factor in the potential of what can happen in so many variations of different issues, occurring even random device issues with no fault of the user, it’s just nice to be able to take my phone into the Apple Store and get it corrected on the spot
My brother was the only member of my family that ever damaged his phone and had the screen replaced twice in a year. Now that's he's paying for his phone, he hasn't had an accident..go figure. As for me and my parents, we've stopped apple care a long time ago.
Hello :-) Just stumbled upon your video. I'm from Germany and i am currently thinking about apple care plus. Background: I want to get myself a Macbook Pro 2023 16" M2 Max 64GB 1TB within the next few days or weeks. It will be the most expensive product i have ever bought from apple by far. I am pretty scared of a damage within the second, third, etc. year. Should i go for apple care plus or maybe speak with my household insurance? I have no clue and are probably overthinking... Could you give me any advice? Thanks and kind regards!
For a person who has a kid, a busy life, a dog, a carpenter husband (who I’m always helping), a nonstop schedule. I’ve used my Apple care+ 3 times in one year. I think they don’t state in most videos that they might be a single person in a household. IMO your lifestyle makes a big decision in those decisions. I don’t ever get an Apple product ($$$) without insurance.
Also, Apple has a history of not covering or fixing computers that were killed by their own manufacturing defects. For example, there was and still is a hardware defect in some Macs which results in 9 volts being sent straight into it's SSD, destroying it and the computer as a result (since the SSD cannot be replaced), and despite this being 100% the fault of a manufacturing defect, Apple has and continues to not cover it under warranty. In other words, without doing anything wrong, your Mac at any moment can destroy itself in a way Apple will refuse to take responsibility for and fix, so the only way to protect yourself from this is by purchasing Apple Care +.
Just take the money you would have spent on AppleCare and put it in a separate debit card. You have it for a rainy day if you need repairs or a new device in the pinch. If you don't need repairs you get to keep it.. almost always, you lose money in the long run by paying the juice for this AppleCare. That's why Apple sells it. You're spending a couple hundred bucks a year even on yours when you're not breaking anything. If you go back and do the math and keep track of all the deductibles and the monthly expenses on the Apple Care, I guarantee you you're losing out
I used to. The last time I used it was when I bent my 6S Plus in half. After that I stopped being a bumblefuck with my devices. Smooth sailing since then.
Man, please bring up your microphone levels or edit it after so that it's normalised or on par with the outro music. When audio levels are subpar, it makes the content seem amateurish. Your content/ humour is great, it's just the audio! Just some constructive feedback :)
For a phone, I would not even consider it. Spare parts are not expensive and I can fix them myself. And I usually buy second hand anyway. That’s how you get the flagship products for cheap. For MacBooks, it’s another question. I can usually fix them myself but spare parts are often very expensive. Luckily I have never dropped or otherwise damaged a laptop in 25 years. But it could very well happen. It is a bit stressful to walk around with a $3600 fragile gadget. AppleCare could at least make three years a bit less stressful. We don’t have AppleCare+ where I live though so that’s not a question.
These care plans are great for kids that take their devices to school in case of loss stolen or accidents. Other than that I wouldn't pay the extra for insurance
Yes yes, Even it only say 2.35% in Denmark, it is still 11-15K DKK for the Pro Max, and if you buy it over a ISP you may get 1-2K discount. But it's still not cheap.! :D (Iphone 15 price tags).
Dayo. Really good subject. Like you I don't tend to get Apple Care insurance on my apple products. I always keep my iPhones and iPads in a case with screen protector. I'm pretty careful with them as well. However, I have friends who always get Apple Care + as they feel it's worth the extra peace of mind. I respect both views.
It’s scary cuz you mind spill tea/coffe, if you have a small sibling, 1 min you phone is on the table, the other in the toilet lmao, so applecare is actually very good
Apple refused to replace magnetic leather link band (leather layers begun separating/pealing off) saying - this specific part of band is not covered by AppleCare+ warranty. They do not care about any "consumer law rights", their statement was - in USA it is applied in state of Maine only.
Unless you put a nail right in the middle of the screen there is no way apple can deny you service
@PrafulPrasad MrWhoseTheBoss already did this
I agree, I was an apple care person, but its just wasting your money if you actually take care of your things. you just gained a subscriber!!
But the moment you cancel it, you trip on air and your phone shatters, soooooo
$68k surgery only in America 😂😂
How about apple care plus vs wireless phone provider insurance (assurion)?
Thanks!
I'd argue the laptops cost more to replace and also cost a lot more in general to buy, just wondering your thoughts on those
I have AppleCare+ for both MBP and MacMini M2 as both cost fairly expensive and I won’t take any chance of sudden failure on any of those 2 machines.
i was anti apple care until my 14pro max slipped on tile i was at work it was raining and i was pulling out my umbrella while in a case and shattered the camera and back it would of been 500+ to repair with apple care it was 30 for the “deductible” and 14$ a month more than paid for itself and i have owned a iphone since the 5s w/o applecare but the monthly plan sold me
I had Applecare + replace a battery that went bad early and gave a service message in the battery section. So it also covers other things than damage.
I get applecare+ on my airpod pro, apple watch & macbook air but not my phone. I never broke a phone ever and my experience from owning android phones over the years is that iPhone is the most well-built phone to date. I just put the apple leather case in it and that’s basically my insurance
which leather case do you like?
I´m this profile....
- Screen Protector right out of the store;
- Phone Case, also right out of the store with it;
- Extremely carefull when carryng or using the device;
- Working in office with the device in my pocket or over the table.
Thankfully, Apple makes it pretty easy to cancel/get a partial refund if you feel like you don't need it anymore or the price doesn't justify "protecting" it anymore.
yeahh idk what this guy is talking about lol AppleCare+ is the cheapest insurance i've found and suits pretty much everyone.
@@karinulllfr it’s literally $10 a month for my 16 Pro Max
4:47 Why did you started to use a screen protector on your Phone?
My iPhone 14 Pro is less than a month old and I already scratched the camera with a thick case on. I’m not bothered by it since I do have AppleCare+. I’m outdoors a lot so AppleCare is a no brainer. I also am very clumsy and drop my phones at least twice daily.
Haven’t got it and my phone is in mint condition after 2 yrs as it has always been in a case with screen protector

Not unlimited accidental damage repair. I literally just got off the phone with apple and the said I only get TWO fucking repairs.
@@tonysamosa1717 That is incorrect, view the AppleCare page on Apple’s website, the agent misinformed you. AppleCare+ is unlimited accidental repair.

Glad you enjoyed it!

So while I may have buyers remorse now, I won’t be beating myself up in the Genius Bar line about to hand over hundreds of dollars to get back up and running again.

what's messed up is that you have to buy apple care which is expensive and then when you're phone gets damaged you have to pay again even though you already paid it
A 150 deductible on a 1000-1600 phone isn’t bad when compared to paying for an entirely new one
it's only worth 1000-1600 when its the current year and it's the current iPhone, one the year passes it gets whats called depreciation and isn't worth as much because it's considered the old phone if it's not the new one @@Kingcommaalex
it’s $29 for screen replacements and $99 for a whole new phone, that’s pretty low
Bro, I brought the iWatch charger from apple store online website it was small broken so that I can return it or not? Without any exchange
A case and a screen protector cost less than $60 , get them. It can save you on buying apple care.
So what do you do when the back glass of your phone still somehow manages to break even while inside of that case and screen protector?
@@vapidshayI’m someone who drops their phone every other day but with the right case it never breaks
You video is great. What you are talking is total sense. Glad I found this video. Pretty realistic and to the point. Keep up the good work buddy. :)
I say if you can afford it yes by the extra protection for your iPhone, I brought the 14 promax with monthly AppleCare+ lost and theft. Best thing I did.
If your house caught on fire, it's called homeowners insurance! That analogy was crazy!
Does Apple Care Plus replace the logic board if the macbook just stops working for any reason other than accident?
When you said “credit card companies, offer insurance for smart phones” I was like subscribed. Not a lot of people know that.

Pretty low based off your own experience and explanation.

From beginning to end the video was on point especially at the end. "its just a phone nothing more"
I always get Apple Care Plus with my iPhone and iPad Pro. if I don’t use the AppleCare Plus service it within the year I make sure I do use it. I might have a little “accident” and then I just take it to my local Apple Store and they’ll replace it with a brand-new device within 20 minutes.
They replaced shit quickly with no hassle tbh but that’s just my experience. I always gotta have it now lol
But i never replaced it since it was just the screen protector lol
Mind you with some of the work I do , my phone can drop from High places like a ladder or scaffold, or slips from my pockets or kinda toss it on tables lol
a bad habit of mines (not clumsy tho lol)
but that case protected it so well.
Plus it ran out of memory too
But would applecare+ be worth it for battery? the damages and unlimited repairs doesn't really wow me given my case that i use (i'm the paranoid guy who never wants to use slim cases despite how much more you can appreciate the beautiful iPhone lol) Seems you still have to pay for the battery anyways with applecare+, so idk?
So, curious to hear everyone's thought here?
I’m realizing how reckless I truly am because I did not see you tossing your phone as a problem until your mom got scared in the last video 😭😭

Can i get AppleCare+ with Theft and Loss after my phone got stolen? I really need my phone for work
I could not disagree more. AppleCare+ is 100% worth it for a phone that you use everyday.
With all the changes/updates Apple has made to AppleCare+ the past few years just makes it an even better insurance option.
You’re an apple employee aren’t you?
@@emdblyou Yes. Well I take good care of my phone (13 pro) but few months back at work, I went to my boss and left my phone at my desk. Came back and found it dropped (some colleague might have dropped it by mistake and after seeing the damage, they quietly left). Whole back, glass near camera and camera glass was broken. Would have cost me a fortune if I didn't had Apple care+
So, you can never claim that you would be able to take good care of it.
It’s totally worth it
Too much money FOR 2 years, that’s weak.
I like this dudes personality. You got a subscribe from me 💯

I recently purchased the iPhone 14 and got the insurance with T-mobile. Wouldn’t that be the same as Apple care? What’s best?
They’re pretty much the same.

Great video Dayo, I share the same view! But just like real life they say to: "Always use protection", I always have at least a case on my iPhone!
It’ll make sense when you get old is the best statement ever, if you don’t think so then you ain’t old 😂

My brother was the only member of my family that ever damaged his phone and had the screen replaced twice in a year. Now that's he's paying for his phone, he hasn't had an accident..go figure. As for me and my parents, we've stopped apple care a long time ago.
The day he cancels, his phone will drop from a table of 1 centimeter and shatter. Weird way the universe works.

With that lifestyle, I’d probably have some type of insurance.
Nah, I don’t trust myself. 😅
same 🤣. i have AppleCare+ on all of my devices.
@Europa you have to state consumer protection act
I don’t trust you either. And I’m Joe too so I should know.

It’s scary cuz you mind spill tea/coffe, if you have a small sibling, 1 min you phone is on the table, the other in the toilet lmao, so applecare is actually very good
Please review LG tone free T90
Apple refused to replace magnetic leather link band (leather layers begun separating/pealing off) saying - this specific part of band is not covered by AppleCare+ warranty. They do not care about any "consumer law rights", their statement was - in USA it is applied in state of Maine only. Loyal customer, have spent 10k over last years on Apple products - we do not care 🙂
