I was pregnant with my 2 daughter and found out that my hcg wasn't increasing at the rate it should have been and the ob/gyn also said she couldn't see anything on ultrasound. She was going to give me medication to induce a miscarriage. I was devastated! I found a new doctor who said he couldn't guarantee that I'd complete this pregnancy, he would do what he could to help save it. He put me on progesterone and it helped my daughter be able to thrive and grow. She is now 21 and fiesty as could be!

I had a doctor who dismissed my suggestions of progestrone supplements when they told me I was going to have a miscarriage. I'm 40 overall healthy and the doctor basically implied with age miscarriages are normal. Every day I wonder had they given the progestrone would I be pregnant. I switched doctors and am confident I will have a successful pregnancy.

I think sometimes doctors push abortion to limit their own liability and don't do everything possible to save the babies.

My first pregnancy was a biochemical miscarriage & I was 6 weeks along & started bleeding. I cannot tell you how saddening it was, let alone having a few congratulation baby gifts I just sat there & cried over. I ended up having 2 healthy pregnancies thereafter (thank God) & now my boys are 18 & 20.

I had a biochemical miscarriage, and my GYN at the time told me that because she hadn't tested me herself, I was never pregnant and therefore didn't have a miscarriage so I should be happy. I never went back to that GYN again.

Be optimistic. I had a miscarriage at 8 weeks of pregnancy in January 2022, It was my very first pregnancy; I was completely devastated and the doctors couldn't tell me why. In April of that same year I became pregnant with my rainbow baby girl who was born in January 2023 and now I am pregnant for the 3rd time. YHWH is amazing, believe in him.

Thank you for explaining the different types of miscarriage. I had 3 miscarriages prior to one successful pregnancy and 3 miscarriages after our son. My husband cried and told me he couldn't do it to me anymore. We've been blessed with the son we had. He's a grown man now and we couldn't be prouder.

We lost three babies, Our 2nd pregnancy was a stillbirth at 30 weeks. That was hell. Not considered a miscarriage due to being so late in the pregnancy, but the loss of our son devastated us. Our 6th pregnancy was an ectopic pregnancy, which ruptured, causing me to lose my Fallopian tube. Our 7th pregnancy was a regular miscarriage at 12 weeks. Just weeks after that miscarriage, my husband died suddenly and my mother was diagnosed with terminal cancer right after he died, so that time was a shell-shocked blur which started a long grief journey for my children and myself.

Thank you for all the information. I had three consecutive miscarriages between 1983 - 1985. We went for a consult at Medical Genetics where we were told I have mosacism due to chromosomes. My last pregnancy in 1987 ended in a miscarriage. I did give birth to two wonderful children. Of the 5 miscarriages one of them was twins.

    • @misspat7555
      @misspat7555 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

Are you referring to mosaic trisomy 21? It’s a condition that deserves to be better known; a sign is repeated pregnancies with full trisomy 21 (Down’s Syndrome); also, the person with mosaic trisomy 21 may have some of the signs of full trisomy 21. ❤

    • @sheilapurcell3789
      @sheilapurcell3789 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

No it wasn't trisomy the doctor said it was mosacism. He said if we tried for another child they could have webbed fingers, toes, and would have medical issues. Apparently the fact that I didn't have 46 chromosomes was the reason I had so many miscarriages.

Your video made me feel less crazy and that my baby existed and my baby mattered. I feel better knowing what happened to us has a name and that brings me so much peace.
    Thank you so much
My story of my biochemical miscarriage.
I took a home pregnancy test in February of 2024. My boyfriend and I both fight infertility so we weren't expecting anything. It was even his idea to do a pregnancy test. I was super moody and my breasts were getting swollen and tender. I took the test and waited for him to come home for lunch and we were not expecting anything. We both saw double lines and got so excited! We found a lab that could do a blood test and we went and waited for the results. It showed that my hormone levels were low but to follow-up with a doctor. I tested at home again and the lines kept fading until I started my period. I was so devastated and broken. By doing the math by day of conception I was about 6 weeks when my miscarriage happened. I felt robbed of my happiness and that our baby "didn't count"
Our baby mattered and our baby counts. I tested on Valentine's Day and kept my test in a heart shaped candy box (Running joke in the house because I have a bicornuate uterus and my favourite song by Nirvana is Heart Shaped Box)
That weekend that we had our baby was so beautiful. My boyfriend talked to my tummy and reassured me that we beat the odds and our baby is going to be perfect and beautiful.
We are very hopeful still and now with this bit of encouragement we know we have a chance.

I had a biochemical miscarriage, followed by another pregnancy that ended in a missed miscarriage at 10 weeks. That miscarriage devastated me and left me wondering if i'd ever get pregnant.
We went to a fertility dr and did some initital tests but never finished testing as i discovered i was pregnant again straight away after a vacation. I'm now 32 weeks along hoping upon every hope for a healthy rainbow baby.

After I had my daughter, my 2nd and 3rd pregnancies were both missed miscarriages. Both pregnancies made it to 6 weeks but never developed a heart beat. I had a d&c both times at 12 weeks as my body never naturally miscarried. I had no idea what to do, get tested? Go to a fertility clinic? This was considered recurrent miscarriage.
Luckily I fall pregnant very easily so we decided to give it one more try. I fell pregnant again and got morning sickness the day after I got a positive result. I walked into my ultrasound appointment knowing the scan would go well because the baby was meant to join us now. He is now 5 months old, our little double rainbow baby ❤

I was pregnant with my second child and at 7 weeks I started bleeding. I saw my obgyn and he said I was pregnant but something was not right. I had to do an ultrasound and then I peed that 7 week baby fell in the toilet and I felt it would of been gross to put my hand in the toilet water. I came out of the bathroom and told my husband. That was 33 years ago I have felt guilt from flushing the toilet then my husband just told me God has a better plan for that baby. I could not have anymore children after that for God to me to take care of my son no more. So I have been blessed with my son and some day I will see my second child in heaven.

I spontaneous miscarriage (This was in 1958) when it happened I was in the emergency room in the hospital. That is when we found out I was carrying twins. The sad part was the babies were starting to decompose, which I was forced to carry two deceased babies in my body for almost a month. Thank God the sack did not burst and release the fluid in my body, possibly causing septicemia. I cold have died leaving two children and m husband. Now they can do a scan to see what is going on inside.

I had 6 miscarriages (as far along as 4 months) between our daughter and our two sons. Spent every pregnancy terrified bc I had all day/night "morning sickness" but if it stopped for even a day, I would miscarry that baby within 24-48 hours! Every single time! I lost 40lbs with my youngest child.
When I was taken in to have him as a planned c-section, the OB and my primary sat my husband down and told him he needed to sign to have my tubes tied!!! They said they knew we wanted a larger family but they told him I wouldn't survive another pregnancy! We live in Kansas. Even in 2024, your husband must consent or he can sign even if you don't know and it is done!!! I did not know I was sterilized at age 23 until 2 days later when it was given to me as part of my dismissal instructions by the nursing staff! It's been 22 years and 3 days since my ability to have a baby was taken away. Still have the most God awful cramps and severe bleeding every 28 days like clockwork. If they were going to take babies away the A$shol€s could've at least taken the uterus too! But, I was "too young for a hysterectomy, it was medically necessary". 😢

I had a 36 week pregnancy that I spotted monthly and a 38 month pregnancy that tried to end itself from 13 weeks on that landed me on hospital bedrest with a pulmonary embolism.

I'm currently undergoing IVF, and the furthest we got is a FET cycle that had to be converted to a mock transfer because my endometrium wasn't getting thick enough. That's where we are now. But when I had my chemical, my doctor gaslit me telling me she "didn't think it was a chemical", even though I got a positive Clear Blue digital pregnancy test and the same symptoms I had in my first 2 clinical losses! She said that because by the time I got an HCG test in her office the next day, it was down to zero already. But just like the first 2, my period took months to come back, and she maintained her opinion that it wasn't a chemical! I felt so not listened to and devastated! Great information and I am so glad that ASRM updated their recurrent pregnancy loss definitions! I also love how you stress that they all count. I had 4 missed miscarriages and 1 cornual ectopic pregnancy between 2008-2013. 3 of those 5 pregnancies were achieved through fertility treatments. In 3 of my miscarriages testing was done and there were no chromosomal issues found. After seeing a reproductive immunologist it was determined I would likely never carry to term due to immunological issues. I was never able to have biological children but I do have a child through adoption and I wouldn’t change a thing. Even when a healthy pregnancy is never achieved there is still hope.

I’ve had 3 biochemical pregnancies, experienced painful miscarriages before I even know I was expecting. I’ve also had one missed carriage at 9 weeks and one miscarriage where my body completely passed the pregnancy at 9 weeks. The latter two we had ultrasounds and had heartbeats just the week before the loss, but they were slow, and measuring small.
So I’ve been pregnant 6 times, and only have one child. 😞 it’s hard for me. But I’m going through IVF and I have one great quality genetically normal embryo. Still remaining hopeful, it only takes one!! ☺️

What happened with my second child was I made an appointment with the obstetrician because I had a positive urine test and then that morning I thought I had had my period but they told me to go ahead and come in and they did ultrasound and the baby was still there. So every week I had to come in for that type of ultrasound and every month I bled like I was having a period for six months and then the last three months it stopped talk about up and down roller coaster.

Thank you. I didn't know that the positive test meant there was implantation. I thought it just meant sperm and egg had joined. Also, I didn't have a word for biochemical miscarriage. I wasn't sure I could call what happened miscarriages. I've been told I'm exaggerating to call it that. Thank you for the information and validation.

my mom had like, 2 separate miscarriages where she said she didn't know she was pregnant (she had severe endometriosis, so she had a lot of funky hormonal symptoms, abdominal distention and irregular periods anyway), but claimed she saw the fetus and that it "looked like a jellybean." it didn't seem to bother her but ever since she told me that i've had recurring nightmares about having a bean-sized fetus slide out of me while going to the bathroom. it would be so disconcerting to just see that with no forewarning whatsoever that it was even there to begin with

The crazy thing about timing is this video finding me when it did. I've been on my TTC journey for about 3 years and I really thought I was successful thus cycle but never tested because I don't like getting my hopes up. Then I got my period on Sat Jul 27 but it was heavier than normal and I've had lingering cramping even though the period is gone. I'm guessing it might have been a chemical pregnancy but like you said it's hard to know.

My first pregnancy was a missed miscarriage. I was actively trying to get pregnant, so I knew pretty early on and it was confirmed with blood work and a pregnancy test. I went in for my 10 week check up and they told me they didnt see a heartbeat and that things has stopped progressing around 6 weeks. I was devestated, for over a month I had no idea, it was not until the day before the appointment that I had some spotting, but nothing like I would expect from a miscarriage. I ended up having to get a DnC as it was suggested by the doctor in order to help me recover faster and not go septic. That was in July and then in November I concieved my daughter, my rainbow baby.

I had several miscarriages. Mine were all early. I wasn't for sure I was even pregnant until I had cramps and pain and passed the embryo and placenta. I did carry 4 pregnancies to term. My issues were always in the first trimester. 6-8 weeks. So, life does go on and a full term pregnancy is possible in the future.

I was able to have 1 full term pregnancy with many MANY instances per week from 26 weeks to 38 weeks getting my labor stopped with my daughter and then a preterm pregnancy of 35 weeks with twins. A very close friend of mine had a missed miscarriage but she hasn’t actually given birth to baby - yet. Baby stopped growing around 9 weeks it’s been 12-13 weeks now and baby is still there. She had some laboring on and off and some of baby was born, but the majority is still there.
For her own reasons she doesn’t want medical intervention *until or *unless she starts to become ill (she’s being monitored weekly), her hormone levels are dropping very very slowly. She’s found it extremely difficult to find stories and experiences of women who have had similar experiences.

I wish I lived in a country where pregnancies are taken seriously, because honestly I feel like they aren't here in Norway. When I was pregnant with my second child, I had some bleeding around 10 weeks. Here in Norway, the public health care doesn't provide ultrasounds on early stages of pregnancy, so I thought everything was fine until that bleeding. I called the doctor and they said "you are most likely miscarrying, and there is nothing we can do. You can go to work if you want, or choose to take the day off". I was in shock. I stayed at home and tried to rest, but ended up losing the baby at home the next day. When I got pregnant again after that, I felt right away that something wasn't right and looked for a private doctor. It was around 6 weeks and she saw no heartbeat on ultrasound. I came back one week after, and there was still nothing, and the baby hadn't grown anything. We even got a second opinion who agreed there was nothing else to be done. So I lost that baby too. I asked for help finding out what happened, and both public and private doctors said they do not research causes before the third loss. They just say it was probably chromosomes and that's it. Now I'm pregnant again, 15 weeks and 3 days. I am relieved I am done with the first trimester, but I am still anxious, since I don't know what caused my two miscarriages after one healthy pregnancy (my oldest is 3 now).

Good summary. I've had every category except septic, thanks to a complete uterine septum, which, I guess, was an example of "being broken." My advice would be to check your anatomy early in the process. Be suspicious. I had so many ultrasounds, and my clinician never really _saw_ that I had two endometrial stripes until I had an HSG following a devastating miscarriage at 19 weeks. The delay cost us 4 years and lots of miscarriages.

After a couple of days of bleeding and contraction like pains, something came away that i can only describe as looking like the neck part you sometimes get in turkey giblets, it was terrifying and i told no one apart from my boyfriend.
Thinking about it now i was so foolish, I should have told my GP and possibly had antibiotics or other treatment.

I was wondering if it might be possible that I experienced a biochemical pregnancy when I started bleeding bright red at 21 days into my cycle? When I became pregnant in my early 20's I found out I was pregnant because I collapsed at work. I went to the doctors and they confirmed it. A bit later I started spotting. I was told it was normal and nothing to worry about. Not long afterwards I was awakened with basically labor contractions, realized I had bled through the mattress and went to the hospital. I stayed there for 6 days, I wasn't given any information regarding the status of the fetus but it was recommended that I have a D&C. Being so young I agreed. So when I became pregnant again a year or two later I, knowing that something wasn't right with first pregnancy and not wanting to go through that again I had an abortion. I never got pregnant again. There was such a lack of knowledge in younger people, poor communication from doctors that I made the decision that obviously I wasn't meant to have children so I may have foolishly shot myself in the foot and killed my second child and possibly the first. Thank you for putting this information out and I hope and pray it helps someone else make better choices than I did. God bless 🙌🙌🙌❤❤❤

i had three singleton pregnancies over 10 pounds at birth all three sons and 4 miscarriages and i had no idea the miscarriages i had were called biochemical miscarriage till now. I to didn't know if it counted or not and i have always identified life upon conception not a moment before or after within those biological boundaries and i still struggled if mine counted or not AND i was baffled that i didn't give self any credit back then when i felt so drained since i bled crazy heavy with a mix of clearish yellowish jelly fish like fluid mixed with the thick heavy blood stream found in the toilet. I felt so guilty for not being able to retrieve each body each time i had miscarried early on but for one, and i was in such disarray at the ER they took the foil i had the chunk of tissue i passed and placed in to show the docs so i would get diagnosed accurately and to bury the tissue in case it was a forming baby early on but i wasn't sure what it was since it had no form to it and looked more like a tissue sac that broke off from inside my uterus more than anything. It was no larger than a butter bean lima bean and i was on time with my monthly menstruation so i knew it was still very early on but i was never able to bury my miscarried babies's body. I would night mare years later of stone babies floating cold and lifeless along the surface of the streams and rivers and the attempt to try to rescue them was warned to be a trap to pull you in as they will pull their victims under to drown and be held there forever with them. that never happened in the dreams as i couldn't figure out what to do before waking up.

My first pregnancy was fine! No issues. My second was a chemical loss at 5 weeks. Two months later, I got pregnant again and lost that baby at 8 weeks. I went to the ER when it started because I was stupid and didn't know they couldn't do anything. I was told it was a "healthy 6 week pregnancy" even though I'd told them I was 8 weeks along. They left me to connect the dots in my emotional state. I lost that baby alone at home, blood everwhere. I passed a perfect little placenta with a perfect little cord, but no baby. I could never understand why the placenta and cord would be (what I assumed) 8 week size if I had a "normal" 6 week pregnancy. Would those even be recognizable at 6 weeks? I wish I had gotten to see my baby. Not sure if I lost it in all the blood or if it were never there. Is that a blighted ovum? Again, nothing "normal" about that... I did go on a year later to have a healthy pregnancy with the help of progesterone supplements. I now have two healthy girls since my miscarriages both with progesterone.

It is also okay to NOT feel heartbroken by an early miscarriage. As someone who needed IVF for my two children, I had 30 total fertilized eggs that translated to 12 blastocysts (day 5) and 2 live births. Most of my blasties didn't implant (7 of 12) and 3 took. And 2 didn't get transferred at all. Of the 3, 1 miscarried early and I've always been completely fine with it. That seems to shock people for some reason, but I was just not any more attached to the week 7 loss as to the little blasties that didn't implant. I felt a little sad they didn't work out, but no sense of loss.

Would they be considered biochemical or clinical if you haven't seen them on ultrasound but also don't have proof that they COULDN'T be seen? I've had four miscarriages and two of them I'd managed to make it to around the 6-week mark, maybe even a few days further, before losing the pregnancy. It's always been unclear to me whether those counted as biochemical or clinical miscarriages. Pregnancies should theoretically be able to be seen by then, so in that respect they seemed closer to clinical miscarriages. But at the same time, I never made it far enough to ACTUALLY be scanned, and all of my pregnancies resolved naturally and completely painlessly, just like a period. Also, the one time my clinic did scan me at 17dpt (5w2d) for my most optimistic pregnancy (number-wise) due to an ER visit the previous night, they didn't see anything and I lost it the following week, so I don't know if there was anything to be seen even then.

What about when you have an ectopic pregnancy? I had one last year and had no choice but to have surgery to remove my baby and tube, as my tube had perforated. Can ectopic be classed as a type of miscarriage? I can't help but feel guilty for being made to terminate my own baby, although if I hadn't my consultant said I would have a severe haemorrhage and possibly wouldn't have made it myself

My first miscarriage 2022, was after an IVF conception. The ultrasound showed embryo was not growing well (reading 5days late)...and I lost it in the 5th week after embryo transfer.
My 2nd was also from an IVF concenption, lost it 10days after embryo transfer.
My 3rd was natural conception, I lost it in the 6th week from LMP date....
Now I am 14wks pregnant, natural conception...and I am really praying this one is here to stay. I am 42yrs old....and I am considering having a cercilage, I do not know if it is compulsory to have it....

I had one done with my 2nd pregnancy after my first was born at 26wks. And passed away. It made my labor hell, I ended up in labor for 36 hours and got bad infection from water breaking but a delay in being able to dialate. If possible try ur best to keep things natural as possible. It made me last labor great, I have a healthy happy 3.5 year old

@@amandafields3723oh I see.....Well the consultant I am seeing now, tells me I might not need it; he is sure the previous losses had nothing to do with my cervix; and encourages me to really have lots and lots of rest, no sex for now till the pregnancy advances more...I think it is so that nothing irritates my inside maybe! But I am going to have a C- section for delivery, so I do not need to wait for labor 😀. I look up to God for everything also. Thanks Amanda for your response!.

Thank you so much for this video. We have been ttc for 10 months and we experienced our first (to our knowledge) chemical pregnancy last month. My cycles are anywhere from 29-32 days so maybe I’ve even had them before but this was the first time I had a dream I was pregnant and took a test and it was positive. Each day the line was getting fainter & then I started spotting and cramping. Hcg was only 6.3 at the lab and didn’t make it to my second appointment because I got my period. It was devastating. Your video validates that we did go through pregnancy loss because I never thought of it that way. Hoping we can conceive soon. I saw a rainbow on my way to work the other day ❤️‍🩹 I hope the nurses at the office can order an hcg again for me and also get my progesterone checked once I get a positive test again. I really feel hopeful for this month I’m currently in the 2 week wait period 🤞🏼

I just recently had a miscarriage few weeks ago at 41. My hcg levels lowered tremendously in a few days before bleeding and spotting. Ultrasound showed no baby or sac. Some days I still feel pregnant from certain symptoms I’ve been having, but no positive test.

This is similar to what happened to me. I had positive urine and blood test so I went for scans and they said I was 6 weeks but measuring less, went back for another 2 weeks later and the sac was empty, they told me I had a blighted ovum my body naturally miscarried 2weeks later because I opted to wait rather than take medication.

I had a situation where something had prompted my dr to do a vaginal ultrasound they were checking my bladder to see if it fully drains, and they seen something on the screen they thought it was cancer because I tested negative for pregnancy. They scheduled an appointment where they put a camera up there but didn’t see anything. From the time of the ultrasound to the time of the camera appointment I had bad crams one morning and put a pad on then went to work. I was sitting at my desk and felt something coming out with crams and blood I went to bathroom and found a thumb size mass of tissue. It didn’t look like a little baby but looked like it was skin tissue not a blood clot. I called my dr they said to take a pregnancy test and if it’s positive then it’s a miscarriage but it was negative so they said not to worry. I always think about that and wonder if it was a miscarriage. I have Pcos and never had any children.

What does it mean when they say they found fetal tissue in one sack but not the other? (This was sad because this was right after I had my first set of twins.)They said my HCG levels were good then I went in and had it check again and it was low, so they elected for a Dnc because I was bleeding heavily.
