    Great video, thanks! I actually love that you don't spend too much time explaining the stitches etc as some videos do. I watch most in double time and I got how to make this in 1 watching. I can't wait to finish the 2 blankets I'm currently working on and make one of these ;) :D (I've saved the video as I will need to watch it again as a refresher when I get to doing it).

    Ok guys after being frustrated i thought i would come back and share in case this might help someone. 1. You are only chaining AFTER the double. I was doing both. 2 keep the singles in the tops of the double crochets. 3. In the gap is where you double so all singles then double no chaining. AFTER THE DOUBLE chain at first one then later it increases. That chain is where your swirl will be. So as you move on each row will be increasing by 1 in the group section so the singles and the double are a group then the chain 2 is the whole. They increase by 1 each round. I hope this helps a bit.

    Beautiful work Mami!!!💕🌺🤗🌺I love it!!!💕💕💕 I have a question about mine. I'm pretty new to crocheting and I'm still in the stages of learning through trial and error. The first mistake that I made with attempting to crochet a spiral blanket.. my edges were pretty cuffed under almost like curled under as I were trying to go around. That was on my first attempt of creating a circular crochet blanket. My second attempt of course the results are appearing very beautiful to my liking. But I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong with my second attempt (purple and lavender) I'm using an 11 mm crochet hook which the instructions say to use an 8 mm hook(Bernat yarn) which I wanted my loops to be a tad bit looser. I have to send her complete it now as I go around the edges.. they seem to take on more of a" Pleated appearance." Me being new to this hobby I wanted to know if there is a way that I can make my edges a bit flatter minus the pleats. Any help from the community would be greatly appreciated. 🙏🌺💕🤗💕🌺

    • @sallyAS4419
      @sallyAS4419 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I know you left this comment a while ago. Just in case you haven't resolved the problem- the pleats come from the edge being too big. The cuffing is usually from the edge being too small. It's pretty normal to do tighter and looser stitches when you are starting out (or just because).
      The nice thing about circles: if you keep going, with the correct # of stitches, they tend to flatten out. Best of luck to you.

    I love this blanket and your lesson is so easy to follow! I was wondering, do you have to increase the chain stitches? I’ll be making this for a baby and I’d like to just keep 2 chains. Since the rounds increase already with the double crochets, what will happen if I don’t increase the chain spaces all the way to 5? Thanks!

    • @petrabaye
      @petrabaye  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It could work MAYbe doing 2 chains but the chains and increase are both chosen to keep the blanket from "bowling up" (like a hat?) It could keep it from laying flat so if it stops laying flat you may be able to just add a third? Let us know, someone else may have that question!
