Thank you so much, Pearl. I’ve watched several beginners tutorials and your instructions are by far the easiest to follow. You actually talk to us like we’re beginners, and give us time to work along. I finally understand and can identify the chain/substitute at the start of the rows! Can’t wait to try more 😀
I learnt this art from my mother when I was young and now at the age of 63 I want to do some table mat instead wasting time.I searched some videos to recollect the same I found yours as the more describing than others.good job Thank you and my wishes to you.
Thank you for sharing YOUR way. I've watched MANY video's on how to do a granny circle. Or just Circle. Your's was SO easy to follow. THANK YOU THANK YOU. I did an extra row even to make six rows. I LOVE IT.
Pearl, you are really a pearl of wisdom. You have simplified crotchet with your video much better than Bella Coco's. I am glad I watched your video and am confident of getting on with my crotchet. Thanks
Thank you so much for you kind words dear. Bella coco is truly inspirational. I am always glad to help. I am so happy that you found my tutorial helpful. :)
I agree - best video so far - very clear and not complicated!! I literally tried 5+ videos and I couldn't figure it out. Now I have a perfect circle! :) Thank you
This video is the best one I've seen on this topic! A tip: As you move outward, don't pull the stitches too tight or it will bunch and won't lay flat! (unless that's a look you're going for)
FINALLY got the hang of it after like 10 videos. THANK YOU SO MUCH for going at a reasonable pace so we can see you doing it instead of replaying the video 5x. very much appreciated #subscribed
Thank you so much! I watched so many videos and was clueless, but with you I liked that you repeat the steps more then once, made it so easy to keep up. My end result wasn’t as tight but looked very much like it,so nice to have something you made at the end.❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
My great aunt, gods rest her soul, got so mad bc i couldn't grasp learning this project! 24 yrs later, thx to this video, i have finally learned! Thank you so very much! It really helped that you have a soothing voice.
I made my first crochet piece using your method on this video and I’m so happy. You’re so helpful and beginners’ friendly, also love the fact that your voice is very soothing and calm. Thank you so much!
Dear Pearl, I have always wanted to learn crochet, but somehow could not. My mother was very efficient at it ,though. Thanks so very much for making me crochet literate. I begin & end my day with your crochet videos in your so very sweet voice. God bless you & your knowledge in crochet & your wonderful teaching techniques. My mother must be smiling from the heavens .
Thank U Granny circle , tutorial was too good , good teaching , i admire ur patience , other tutorials pauce in between.till the last stc , but u showed every stcs , God Bless
Thank you so much for making this video! I just started to learn crocheting, and have spent hours looking through youtube but can never find a video that goes at a good pace and explains everything rather than just fastfoward on everything. Thank you so much for this tutorial! I can't wait to make hundreds of these to give out to friends and family! Have a wonderful day, and once again thank you!
thank you so much for this ...easy to follow ....thank you thank you ...not many tutorials tell you how to carry on the granny to make it big so thank you again 😊😊
Hi pearl from Ireland,I just found your video of this granny circle and will make a blanket a very good video well explained too, glad that I can make it larger as most other tutorials only go so far,Ithanks very much and hope you are well during these awful times xxx
Absolutely. You could either attach it directly onto the circle or work it into a circle. If you like, I would add this to my list of upcoming videos. :)
Wonderful tutorial, very easy to follow. Everything well explained. Instructions/steps repeated frequently making it drummed into your brain. Fantastic, thank you ❤️
Hi your tutorial was great. I kept going to make bigger circle blanket size but it’s started curling and I’m not sure what’s going wrong. Any help would be appreciated
neat and clearly explained in a slow manner.. I really liked it ☺☺.. Thank you so much .. not sure if there are ppl around to explain like this .. really appreciate ur work ..
Well, this is a first for me! I've never subscribed or commented on a website before. I love your tutorial! Do you have "written" instructions available for this tutorial, or rather for the Granny Circle? I guess I need both written and visual instruction. I hope I hear from you and this is the correct avenue to achieve communication... Thank you for doing such excellent instruction!
I'm so glad to see your video tutorial Ms. Pearl Gomez. It's so interesting and your explanation is clear. This is my first time to click and watched your video tutorial and I subscribed directly because I know I learn more. Thaks for sharing your ideas and knowledge.
Thank you!!! I have tried other videos and this one is the best! I just wanted to create a big granny circle throw, and this looks like it will work perfectly! You have another new subscriber. 😊
sure things crochet made easy is really easy.. thanks so much you really made things easy... ..just a question..do you have a crochet socks tutorial??.thanks again
I loved this tutorial I got new crochet stuff for Christmas and I watched this video it was simple easy and u went through it great! I liked the video! And subscribed!
I'm a new crochet-er I am a knitter but I wanted to try this and make a circular blanket .can I just keep going till I get it as big as I want it or will it be too heavy .I'm using baby yarn.
for anyone watching this and struggling with your work curling on you, try alternating on row 4 by doing 2 double crochet 1 single crochet 2 double crochet all in the same hole then ONLY ONE SET of double crochet in the next hole then back to 2 sets. This alternating decreases the amount of stitches your adding and makes it curl less.

I have a question regarding this patternrn 8: Sc in each st around. rnd 9: Working in back loops only, sc in each st around. Following package directions, attach safety eyes. rnds 10-17: Sc in each st around. I have my 42 st, what does rnd 8: sc in each st around mean? Thanks
The rows might tend to curl up if the stitch count is higher. If your count is right and it still curls up, try reducing your stitches in the last rows where it curls. This normally does not happen, but it could differ with various yarn types and sizes. Hope this helps. :)
Hi Kirsty, Thank you for watching the tutorial. Make sure that you are using the appropriate hook size for the yarn you are using. If you have and it is still curled up, it could be due to your stitch count. Identify in which row is it starting to curl. I f it is curling up like waves, it could be because the stitch count is more than needed so try reducing the stitch count in that particular row. If it is curving up like a basket or a beanie, it is because the stitch count is too less than needed so try increasing the stitch count in that row. Hope this helped. :)
You may decrease the count by actually stitching a count less than the previous row or by just not increasing any stitches for the next row meaning working same stitches around. This is a little difficult to explain with the granny circle as it depends on which row you are on. For larger round projects I wound suggest the Solid Granny Circle to be much easier to do. :)
Do you have a written instructions after row 5? I’m having trouble deciding how many chains to crochet between rows. Have you made one passed row 20? I would love too see it!
I like this teacher. She speaks slowly and crochets skowlu so you really can keep up with her, Carolyn Dennis Daytona Beach Fl.
Wow! Although I am 7 years late to the party...I am glad I got here. Thank you for sharing you talent with us.
Thank you so much, Pearl. I’ve watched several beginners tutorials and your instructions are by far the easiest to follow. Can i know what type of yarn are you using. Im using 100% acrylic yarn but it gets hooked together and the outcome is not rigid like yours..
I use a local brand. It is acrylic too.
Why does mine curl up at then ends? I am making it larger though. Will that just happen at the ends and my count is correct.
The rows might tend to curl up if the stitch count is higher. If your count is right and it still curls up, try reducing your stitches in the last rows where it curls. This normally does not happen, but it could differ with various yarn types and sizes. Hope this helps. :)

Hi Kirsty,
