    2:22 - That's actually a Granelli Audio Labs G5790. Still a 57 at heart, but they make a 90 degree mod. Sounds the same, more placement options.

    Question about mix - was room mic aligned (moved) somehow to rest of the track's in the mix time or was left original?

      +Arkadiusz Gołąb Great question..sounds to me like it might be in the original position, with a slight Haas effect giving the room dimension and character....mmm?

    Great video. lots of great info but e604 on toms is nowhere near as good as using 421. Awesome playing too! Matt is a superb player.

    Clip on tom mics fine for live but for recording they'll pick up too much low end rumble form the physical vibration of the drum. 604s are a bad choice as they are very prone to this.
