You dont buy this type of yacht for 18 knots and 200 range. You use it occasionally in need. You buy it to sail 8 knots - then the range is 900 nautical miles which is plentiful!
More common on trawlers than sports cruisers. The galley on my trawler is up next to the helm which makes it handy on a long passage to make a sandwich or grab some refreshments while still keeping an eye out
Is there anywhere I can find a fuel consumption chart for this? The litres/gallon burn across a range of speeds. I have searched everywhere and no luck.
Felt very clostrophobic going down the stairs and into the berths. Very tight. That dining table will never seat 6-8 comfortably unless they are children.
my issue with these boats us they are called 'Magellano' as in Magellan, the famous explorer and you would think this is an explorer type vessel, the 25 and 27 metri and all the rest, and they aren't. They don't have the range or the hull or the classification. I think these are category B or C. So I don't see the point. Plus it's an Azimut and they aren't exactly known for quality builds and robust construction. Kind of misleading. Like when someone says they are stationed at Hereford, 22nd Regiment amd you think he's a pipehitter straphanger ready to tap tangos and cap crows...but you find out he's the janitor and had to pass the secrecy agreements and polygraph. He wouldn't know a FAL from a G3 or a Hi-Power from a Glock17
The Magellano 66 is CE A, even the smaller now stopped production Mags 50/53 and 43 used to be CE A, and just checking even the planning S6 and S7 are CE A today, while in the flybridge line this starts with the 68. The Magellano lamination schedule used to be for a thicker (10 to 15mm) and a single skin hull, then comparative planning models. I am not sure that is the same today, you need to check with Azimut technical department, but up until 2012/13 it used to be that way. Also the bigger 25 and 30m Magellano can be Class build and also to Cross of Malta standards, which is something Azimut can do on all its 80 feet (24 meters plus yachts), along with MCA standards, if you want to fork out the extra cash.
Don’t the boat owners get annoyed with you! You never leave the as you found it, all the others put back to how they found it. This is not a criticism just wondering. Lovely yacht, fly bridge is excellent the distance it travels is not enough, can you get bigger tanks fitted?
Very poor range for a semi displacement cruising yacht. Seems like someone rather missed the boat on this one. The yacht itself looks good but looks aren't everything.
As a yacht captain I have. Ever met another captain who likes working on an Azimut. They are awful to work on and the systems are cheap and usually under sized.
It's just not a good design. 900 Nmls at 8 knots, sucks. It needs a crew of 3, if you had 8 guests, so that does not work. It's a good boat to park in the marina.
It's NOT a serious cruising boat, its a huge expensive day cruiser only. Such a tiny range .... seriously a big fault for a boat of this size and cost. You said a few times "crew" ... there is a single only allowed. Unless you want to do your own cleaning, you want a deck hand, so you need to cook and captain the boat yourself ? It's not sufficient, you want bare minimum 2 for a boat this size, 3 would be nice. Great diplomacy skills in navigating (filming) this one, I know what you really think. lol.
Stop everything. That galley is a joke. Who ever played this boat out needs too find a new career. Totally useless for a yacht of it's size and the location is beyond confusing.

Im being very picky however, 4:18 - why don't they install a refrigerator that opens the same way as the hinged door for ease of access?

I don't know anything about yacht, but how many operator do I need for drive(?) it? can I operate myself alone?

So with it's limited range it's meant for the Meditearanean Sea...not a serious cruising vessel.
